I dropped my iphone in milk accidently. Afterwards i put it in a bucket of rice but my speakers arent funtioning properly. I can only hear if i plug in my headphones. Other than that my speakers arent working for youtube videos or music. Although they are working when i set an alarm sound or ringtone. whyy

Iphone speakers not working

Recently my iPhone speakers stopped working. I can listen through the headphone jack and can also put a phone call on speaker but for some reason I no longer can play music or other audio out of the small speakers in the unit. Any ideas?

The iPhone includes a single speaker.
If inserting and removing the earbuds several times in a row does not resolve it, and there is no debris in the earbuds port, more than likely you have a hardware issue that will require spending some money to fix or to purchase a replacement.
Two additional options for you to try is an iPhone reset and if no change, restoring your iPhone with iTunes.

Try Restoring it in iTunes. If that does not work you will probably need to get it serviced.

IPhone will sync @ work, but not @ home: same PC

My iphone (3GS) will readily sync with my work laptop at work, but only sync with my work laptop when I am home IF I am connected into my work's VPN. If I am not connected into the VPN at home, the iphone won't sync at home. Why?? How can I get it to sync at home (where all my music is stored on a home server) without connecting into the VPN? Fortunately, when I am connected into the VPN from home, my PC can access my home server, but it is still a pain to take the extra step to log into the VPN.

I am also experincing Exchange connectivity issues after upgrading to ios 5.1.1.
Exchange access was working fine in ios 5.1.
Now, it will verify connection, but not transfer anthing to the iphone.
I have deleted the account, rebooted the iphone, and readded it many times to no avail.

So yesterday at around 2 pm I was cleaning my floors and set down my iPhone screen down to listen to music I hadn't realized that I had placed it on a puddle of pine sol . after a song I went to change it and I realized it was wet I wiped it off but there was water inside the phone so i showed it to my brother I ran to my room and tired to charge it I found out that only portions of the screen work. It worked but I knew I should put it in rice so I did.I turned it off and out it standing up ports down in rice I turned it on about half an hour later to show my mom. Then quickly turned it off and put it in rice again. When I got home from school I checked it and I can see there is still water in the phone but the whole screen works I haven't tested out the camera but the finger print scanner works. What should I do? Please include prices of repair or replacement I had the iPhone 5s 16 GB I would like the exact same one.

Apple does not repair them. They replace them. $269 for a 5, 5c or 5s replacement.

Hello, please can anyone help me? My iphone 4 has stopped ringing out or making any other sound through speakers, although I can still use it to make calls & can hear people when I phone them. I've tried resetting it & also powering it off but it has made no difference. Does anyone have any solutions that may help me please?

Check to make sure the mute switch is not in the mute position.
You can also check to see if Do Not Disturb is on or off.

IPhone speakers barely working after docking into iHome

Recently I docked my iPhone into an iHome to charge it. It popped up the screen "This accessory is not made to work with the iPhone". I took it off but ever since then whenever I unlock my phone that message pops up and disables my speakers on my phone. I cannot listen to music or anything. It vibrates but there is no sound coming from the speakers. Can anyone help or am I S.O.L?

I don't believe the iHome can charge an iPhone 3G. I believe the iHome charges an iPod via firewire, and support for charging via firewire was discontinued with the iPhone 3G. The firewire pins were removed from the iPhone's dock connector, and the same will apply to all future iPod models.
Try doing an iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the Home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.

HT201401 I just restored my iPhone and it worked, but it will not let me go any further (iTunes telling me "The iPhone you have connected may be damaged and cannot be activated") so I'm trying to find out how to get past this... Why is it "damaged"?

It all started when one day all of a sudden the heat was bad here, and I sat in the car with the AC on and my phone on the dash board, charging. Next thing that happened was that when I got home I let my son play with it (which he always takes good care of it, watching youtube videos) and then later on that evening when I payed attention to the back of it, it looked super swollen. You could see where tears in the white backing of my iPhone were from whatever had caused this. I thought it was from the heat, just expanding the case. Well, it had obviously got too hot in the sun on the dashboard and over a few hours had almost got to the point of exploding. I did not know that just a little bit of heat from the sun could do that, so anyways.
I ordered a new battery online and replaced that, in the process loosing two screws, the two at the bottom which hold the LED touch screen in place. Although it doesn't move without the screws, I do need to replace those also. Everything works fine. Buttons, touch screen, I just think there might be a small problem with the mother board, from the battery swelling and causing it to bend, or even heating the metal on it. That would suck, total bummer.. Anyways, anyone with a solution or even a bit of advice, or just a suggestion please feel free to help. I have taken it apart one last time after I restored it, and cleaned it very little with alcohol, thinking that might be a problem, but still nothing yet...
I hope I get this phone working again, not use for a phone, but for games, music, and videos. Thank anyone for your help! It's greatly appreciated!

If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

Try restarting your router by removing power to it for 30 seconds. This may correct the problem.
