My iphone touch screen is freezing

my iphone touch screen is freezing, it wont let me do my thing on it as fast as I usually go.
This phone has so many problems, its ridiculous and overrated.

Hi..I did everyting..restored and had a screen protector on mine. Didn't do any good. Only the top part of my screen is super responsive even without touching its taking my inputs for the menus. Went to apple store couple of time and they diagnoised and said it might be a "Springpad" which is system feature thats causing the problems. I might have to swap it with a new one at apple store. Good that mine is still under 1 yr warranty

  • How to caliberate iphone touch screen

i am having problem with the touch of iphone. some time the touch not work where i want. i guess i need to caliberate the iphone touch screen. please provide help about it.
why i am saying i need to caliberate because i need to press the button below of it. not on the exact place where the button is.

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.

  • Portion of my iphone touch screen is not responding

Portion of the iphone touch screen is not responding while typing (both horizontal and vertical). All other functions are O.K.  Is it LCD problem or any calibration problem ?  Some experts says the LCD screen is to be replaced ?

basic troubleshooting steps from the User Guide are restart, reset and restore.  Have any of these been tried?

  • My iphone touch screen is not working

my iphone touch screen is not working i have restarted it how can i back up to the computer without allowing it through my phone?

If your iPhone screen is broken or damaged so that it is not possible to enter anything, then you will not be able to unlock it if you have set a passcode and you will not be able to communicate with it in any way.
At this point you need to take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the technicians check it out and see what can be done.  If you are in the US, some Apple stores here are now able to replace the screen on an iPhone 5-series device.  Otherwise they do an out-of-warranty replacement for $269 if the failure is due to damage.

  • Sensitivity of iphone touch screen

Can I adjust the sensitivity of the iphone touch screen?  Does not recognize the end call button through my case.

You're welcome. They replaced my son't twice. Once for the End button issue, once for a problem with the sound. The mic when on the phone sounded terrible, you remove the case and it sounded fine. but the case back on and it was terrible again. Both time replaced at no cost.

  • I have an issue with my iphone touch screen not responding, apple replaced phone and still having same issue. They say its software, what can I do I need my phone to work

Touch screen on Iphone slowly, over a few days stopped responding. Went to Genius Bar and was given a new 3GS because they didn't know how to fix the issue. Cool. Went home synced with Macbook Pro (new-12/2010), two days later same issue. This time when I went to Genius Bar they restored the phone to factory settings and instructed me to load as a new phone in Itunes instead of restoring information of the previous phone, which is an option good for when your replacing phone not fixing one Anywho, did everything they told me to do. SAME ISSUE A FEW DAYS LATER. This time I was told the software issue is with my Macbook and I thought this made sense, so I took it in along with the phone. That was yesterday. Phone working intermittently since leaving Apple. I was given instructions that if their "daily" fix didn't work to erase hard-drive and reinstall software that came with the macbook and start fresh. This would definately fix the issue. Extreme yes, but I need use of my phone, especially since we got rid of the house phone and all use cell phones. So last night I did the required erase of hard-drive and re-loaded all software that came with it and Microsoft Office for Mac. Plugged in the phone to set up in itunes and thought that was it. My phone is still not working. Can't answer when I try, can't make calls, etc. What the heck do I do? I'm starting to feel like a major lamo having to keep going back to Genius Bar, but I know enough to know these issues should have been resolved with the steps I've taken. I even went as far as to restore through my husbands computer and same thing. Could there be a problem with Itunes? Could the magnetic stripe in my debit card be hurting the device somehow, although that's a long shot since I have had the same or similar case since getting the phone. Frustrated beyond belief. Apple support not open at this hour so I'm trying my luck here.....
    Thanks for any input.

restore iPhone as new and start again

  • My iPhone touch screen no longer works

I have a 4s iPhone with the latest iOS 7 update. The touch screen is completely non responsive. I tried to reset the screen but I can't because I need to be able to swipe across to reset the phone and it won't let me.
What should I do? My phone data hasn't yet been restored since I tried to restore to factory settings. I can't get calls or even open the phone.
(No water damage or screen damage recently that could be correlated with it. Onset of problems was gradual, before today the screen was touchy but now completely unresponsive)

I solved my own problem by clicking the home button 3 times.

  • Dead zone on iPhone touch screen?

My iPhone 5 suddenly has a dead column on the touch screen where it won't respond at all. It started suddenly in the middle of texting. I've had this phone for almost a year and never had a problem. Any advice? I tried turning it off and back on, etc.

Well it was clearly a dead column in the display...I took it to the Apple store and they installed a new display module while I shopped. Came back 1/2 our later and it was as good as new! And it was under warranty so I paid nothing.

  • Touch screen keeps freezing

All too often, the touch screen freezes on me. This usually happens after I try and make a gesture. Then the screen becomes completely unresponsive.
The button at the bottom still works. I can either wait about a minute, and then the screen unfreezes, or I can push the power button at the top, put the phone in standby mode and then the screen is responsive as soon as I wake it up from the home button again.
Please let me know any suggestions to resolve this. Thanks.

    "Apple: the new Microsoft?"
That's harsh, but looks like it is true!
I am having the exact same problem as everyone else here. Since upgrading to the iOS4.0.1 my phone has become incredibly slow and unresponsive. The touch screen will often lock/freeze not allowing you to answer calls. This would not be such a terrible thing if the "home" button could be configured as a back-up answer mode. I have missed several important phone calls as a result.
The 3G and 3GS were great phones. Maybe a few glitches here and there but at least you could answer the phone when a call came in!
Likewise, "Windows 97" was a great OS then Microsoft decided to make improvements and developed "Vista". Now Microsoft's towering kingdom is falling because they would never admit that they developed a flawed system. Now they have come out with Windows 7, but it's too late every one has given up and started moving to Mac.
Apple, beware that your pride and arrogance doesn't take you to the same fate. You need to offer some sort of customer support where we can inform you of issues like these. We should not have to pay to talk to a tech when it is a flaw in your software that is causing the problems.

  • Serious Problems with Iphone Touch Screen

    Hi,
I am facing following issues with my Iphone. Could you please help/guide me how to get them resolved
    1) I think some portion of the Touch Screen has stopped working. For e.g. when i type the message in normal mode then SEND button is disabled even if i try 10 times i am not able to send the message.
Therefore, as a work around i need to tilt my iphone to widescreen mode and then tap on send...it works....but it is very irritating
    2) Many a times Iphone on its own dials the numbers in the contact list/recent dialled/missed call
    3) If i leave SMS screen open for some time, then it automatically starts typing characters randomly
    4) The same behavior is also there in Ipod i.e. it own its own changes the song
These are the main problems which i am facing ,,,anyone else facing similar issues?
I have already tried following things
    1) Restarted the iphone n number of times but to no success
    2) I have also tried reset option
Please help me how can i get these issues resolved pls.

Have you tried a restore in iTunes?

  • Right side of iPhone touch screen not responding

    PLEASE HELP!
New to the forums.. and new to the problem my iPhone 3G is giving me. As of today, the right side of my touch screen isn't responding. The top right side responds sometimes but the bottom right doesn't.
I've turned my phone on and off, but it hasn't helped. I don't know what to do. I got my iPhone in August 2008. Please - can anyone help?

You could reset by holding home and the power button until you see the apple logo, do not let go of either until you see the apple logo. This is basically a restart. Or you could restore through itunes. I doubt either will work, but they are worth a try. By going to an apple store or authorized seller they can determine if the phone needs replaced because of a hardware issue.
