My iPhone turns screen black after a call ....

The only way to have the normal screen again is by locking and unlocking the iPhone...
My iphone as 1 month and a couple of weeks ... I have sent the iphone back to the operator, but it returned the same way...
I have done a soft reset and a total system restore from itunes...
Getting out of resolutions...
What can i do?

Thanks for replying ... Its not normal what my iPhone is doing .... Normal is after a call the screen goes back to normal or like you said back to the contact page or keypad ... When it stays black, it remains black ...not even the home button does nothing about it , only by pushing the power button it comes back to normal.

To resolve your issue with Facetime freezing when you end a call, I would try the first three steps in the article below.

Resolution
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.

dont you know your apple ID password ?
IF you know that, try restart your iPhone if it doesnt work try restoring your device. If it doesnt work again, you have hardware problem. Try changing your screen.

1st, u could just restart ur home, pressing the home and power botton together for few sec,if it wont work .....
2nd, try restore ur phone with itune, and it ****** me off last time when i dont normally backup with my itune after the icould thing showup, so restore with icloud backup wont 100% work, if not just try restore from older icloud backup. if it still wont work.....
3rd hand it over the the apple dealer... they are the pro... never ever open it up urself or bring it to one of ur so call SMART FRIENDS, they will freak up ur phone even worst.... i think this method will definately solve ur problem..

You don't in the condition it's in. You will either have to get the phone replaced by Apple or pay a 3rd party to repair it.

With iOS 6, while playing music on Spotify or playing Candy Crush, etc, if the phone rang and I answered, or if I made a call, once the call was ended, the app I was using would resume. The music would start playing again or the game would resume.
In iOS 7 this isn't working. Listening to music, I answer a call, music stops and when call is ended, nothing! the phone stays on the phone app.

Screen black after sleep startup and won't turn off w/ power button?

I have a Powerbook G4 and hardly ever turn it off, till lately.
My computer started turning itself off after I would open it and wake it up from sleep mode. It would flash the screen quickly and then go black. All efforts to turn it off with the power button failed. I had to remove the battery and disconnect the power cord for about 2 minutes until it eventually shut down. I have not had this issue since I have been turning it off after every use, but was wondering if this was a sign that something was going out on my computer?

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.
There's more to try but let's go a bit at a time.

N8 Display turns totally black when incoming call ...

My N8's display always turns totally black when there is an incoming call, or even when the
alarm rings. Before can see the caller's name and answer the call, I have to disable the screen's "keylock".
I tried to find a point in the phone settings wher I can avoid this, but didn't find any. Is anybody out there to give me a hint ?

When I am inside, the screen acts normally: it goes black when held close to face. It returns to normal as soon as taken from my face. However, the screen also goes black if I am outside in daytime when I have an incoming call, and when I make calls also, as soon as I press the green call button. It "thinks" it is near my face. If I slide the button on the right side of the phone down twice, the screen lights back up normally but the touch screen will not function. At that point I cannot answer the phone, or if I'm already making a call I cannot hang up nor press the speaker phone button.
There is nothing over the face of the phone. I removed the protective plastic cover but that did not help.
This seems to occur only when I am outside in the sunlight, so it has something to do with a sensor, either light or heat.
I am aware that this problem has occurred on other N8s. I have not found any solutions for it. Perhaps it is not a problem on every N8. I updated the software last week to 111.040.1511 Symbian Belle. That software date is from 2012-07-28.

IPhone 6 screen blacks out

My iPhone 6 screen keeps shutting off and the phone does not respond, until I do a reset (home/power button). This started happening after the 8.1.2 upgrade, and now happens very frequently. If I call my iPhone from another line, I get a ringing tone (not switched off), but theres absolutely no response on my iPhone. Can someone please help me? Sadly, it didnt work. Went into a lot of trouble restoring from the iCloud (I have about 20GB of music and it all had to be downloaded all over again), and the problem is still there. I also did a restore, setting up the phone as a new phone, and the problem is still there. One thing I noticed is that the phone is heating up a lot more than it did earlier. Based on whats on the forums, it seems that I have to get the phone replaced, but I can do this only when I am in the UK next time. Till then, I guess I'd have to suffer in silence

While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
Try to restore your phone and set it up as new.

IPhone Turn on automatically after i turn it off

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 7.1.1. Each time I turn it on after few seconds it starts turn on again. If it is being chraged then it keeps turned off but as soon as I disconnect it, it turns on again

This is most often due to dust, dirt, debris, corrosion in charging port causing short circuit. Clean the charging port very well with toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol. If this does not help and if there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, then the next step would be to replace the charging port with flex cable a $5-10 part.

Ah, you mean the Home button. If you're having a hardware issue, you should take the phone to Apple and have them look at it.

My Iphone 4 is going black when the phone is answered leaving me unable to enter an extension number or even end the call. Neither of the buttons helps but will shut off with the normal click after 5 or so seconds and clicking the off button. Can't get back to the telephone screen though. Any suggestions? I have my normal shutdown time set for 3 minutes.

You are probably right. I was having the same issue with my 3GS because I was using my original iPhone 1 case. The AT&T person told me the case would interfere with the proximity sensor but I couldn't see how that would be an issue. Apparently, it was. When I took the phone out of the case, the problem disappeared.

Iphone working; screen black

I dropped my Iphone 4 with an otterbox case on it on my hardwood floor from about 4 feet up! The phone itslef is working but the screen is black and non responsive. I called my phone with another phone and it rang and vibrates when I plug it in to the wall for a charge. I tried rebooting it with the lock button and other button. If anyone can help or recommend help that would be fabulous. I am NOT trying to pay 149 dollars to get it fixed buy the apple store

Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?
