My iphone volume bar disapears alot and wont play with speakers and my lock button has been jammed
Recently my lock button on my iphone 4s got jammed and it wont play music. The entire volume bar will disapear and even when i have headphones plugged in the music will randomly stop and speakers wont work through a dock connector. Any
Your Sleep/Wake button is jammed, and it sounds like you have many other issues for your device. Sounds like physical damage. You may need to visit an Apple Store so they can offer you an out-of-warranty replacement for $199.

Just moments ago I was making a video and my iPhone 4 said it had 20% battery. When I went to check my phone it wasn't responding so I assumed it was dead. What can I do? I dropped my iphone (not from a great height) and now it won't turn on however when I plug it in the white apple shows on my screen. My lock button has been broken for awhile so I can't even try switch it on!
Once you have a proven, working Charger... Charge the Device for a couple of hours. Then try to turn it on.
If no joy...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If the issue persists...
Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

last night my iphone said it was overheated, and shut off. it has been over 24 hours and hasnt turned on since, not sure what i should do?
Perform a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If this doesn't help, connect the phone to the charger and leave it for about 30 minutes and see if it comes on. If not, while it is connected try the reset I described first.

what can i do? My iphone 4 screen went black but its still on. I know how to reset it but my top power button has been jammed in for months now. So does anyone know what i can do to try and get my screen back?
Bring your phone to Apple for evaluation and replacement. It's broken. There's no magic we can provide you.

It seems that year long delay from having your lock button repaired has finally caught up to you. Sounds like you have some damage to your phone that requires repair/replacement. Take it to a Apple store or contact Apple Tech Support.

My Iphone isn't responding to anything, and I can't do the home/lock button restore becasue my lock button is broken and I've been using assistive touch. Any ideas as to how to turn it back on?
Try plugging it into the charger. Unfortunately, without a functioning sleep/wake button, it will be diffucult to do a number of troubleshooting steps. See if it will start that way. If not, you may need to leave it for a period to see if the battery will die out and then plugging it in may restart it. Otherwise, you will need to take the device to Apple to see about repair/replacement.

I was using my phone fine but then it switched itself off and won't come back on, its not connecting to Itunes and will not charge, I've read loads of things about holding down the home and sleep button at the same time but my sleep button doesnt work.
Can anyone help me please?If the iPhone doesn't power on automatically when connected to a power source and the on/off button is broken, you won't be able to power it on. Make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

I have the iphone 5 and it hasnt been a year yet and my lock button wont work. If I take it to an apple store can I get it replaced since its still in the 1 year manufacture warranty?
Within the warranty period, unless the failure was caused by accidental damage it will be replaced for free.

Iphone 4, cant recieve media text with sound sound is seperate and wont play with pictures.
when recieving media messages the sound seperates into quicktime and wont play with photo.
I have been experiencing this problem for the last few days. I've tried going in to settings and changing things on the sound menu but to no avail. I can get no sound on my videos, Internet videos and I can't change the volume setting when the phone is on the home page.
I originally thought it might be a problem with the volume buttons on the side of the phone but they work for voice memo sounds. That audio seems to come from the ear piece so I wonder is there a problem with the speakers on the bottom of the phone.
Any ideas on what's wrong? Did I possibly change some settings without realising? Is there a menu to change volume settings for videos?
I'm going I go into an apple shop when I'm near one because this is driving me crazy! -
Since subscribing to iTunes match my ipad2 no longer offers the AirPlay option on the volume bar within Music, rendering my bowers Wilkins speakers useless for both iTunes and spotify. Why is this and how can I fix it?
Apple made no mention of this being an expected issue, so I can only assume it's unintentional. Otherwise I wouldn't have subscribed to Match in the first place!How big is your library? I would recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
- Backup your library. Always a good idea before messing with things.
- Create a new library. Refer to this article for details: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589. This won't delete your old library, you're just creating a new empty one. Also refer to this article to get back to your old library later.
- Add a few albums into this new library. Not everything, just a small sampling, as a test.
- Activate Match on this new library. You shouldn't have to re-pay, it should just say "Add Computer" or similar.
- At this point, Match should run again. With just a few albums it should complete in just a few minutes.
If iTunes doesn't crash at this point, then likely there's something about your original library that Match doesn't like - what that is I don't know, but at least you'll know it's not your PC. If iTunes still crashes, then if could be a number of other things, but probably not your library. My next suggestion (if you haven't already done this) is to uninstall / reinstall iTunes. If that doesn't work, then my next ideas you won't like.
