Honestly? In the US (I can't speak to other countries, though I doubt it works much differently in a lot of the world) The police took your report and filed it either in their computers or, on paper. They will now not think of this again. The only time it will cross anyones mind is if, in the course of entering information into evidence about items recovered or seized at a crime scene, the serial number of an iPhone that was found/seized happens to match yours, in which case you will be contacted.
The police in the US can and will do nothing to 'blok' the phone and it's not worth their time to try and locate it unless you know for a fact that it was stolen by a big time drug lord, master criminal, or some other such prime target and they can get a court order to track the location of the phone in order to locate this individual for your own purposes. If they do that, they'll probably keep him under surveilance for a year or so before they act.
Basically, the police don't care about your phone. If they find it, they will give it back to you. They are not, however, going to go looking for it. They have better things to do.

My iphone was stolen and we actually recovered it using the find my iphone app! Is there a way I can tell what the thief might have looked at in the interim? I know about hitting the home button twice to see recently used apps, but what if they then swiped to close them? i just want to know if this <bleep> was looking through my private info. TIA

If my iPhone was stolen and i want to reactive an old phone using that same number for the time being while i waited to see if I could get my iPhone back, would the iPhone still work while i was using a re-activated old phone of mine?
If a new SIM is activated on the same account for the same number, any existing SIMs for that number are deactivated.
Why exactly would you care if the SIM in the missing device still works or not? -

Only your carrier can Blacklist the phone, so contact them.

I purchased an iPhone 4s few weeks ago here in Pakistan and now I can't activate it because it says the this iPhone was lost and erased. Sign is with the Apple ID that was used to erase this iPhone. If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

If this is a phone you found, it is useless to you. There is no one who can put you in touch with the original owner and no way to bypass that message. -

Try using these steps to stop Lost Mode from iCloud.com:
Stop Lost Mode or change your contact info
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud).If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device that’s in Lost Mode.
Click Lost Mode, then change the information or click Stop Lost Mode.

My macbook pro was locked and erased using find my iphone app then it was recovered. I entered my pin and unlocked it. I then have the option to reinstall the OS on a new hard drive or my old one (which is blocked).

If you have an external HD, you may try tun run a recovery tool instlled on this external device searching for keystring "index.xml"
With a bit of luck, it will retrieve an old copy of your document.
I hope that this time you will understand that working the way you did is playing with matches.
Whe you work on a document already saved once, duplicate the document before opening it and check that both copies are OK.
This way you will have at least a copy containg the datas from the 25 first day.
During the working session, don't save with the name of the opened doc, save vert ten minutes with different names.
Doing that you will recover at least the copy which you opened.

If it was stolen the thief will wipe it with the result that you will not be able to track it.
Contact your carrier. They may be able to block further use of the phone. No good to you but then no good to the thief either.
