If the phone has been officially unlocked by your service provider then it should remain unlocked.

My I-pod screen is cracked and my account says 'Repairs and Service Coverage: Active' does that mean I can get it fixed for free or replaced? the ipod is very usefull to me as it keeps my three younger brothers entertained for a few minutes or hours and yes I understand that the Ipod is not indestructible but when in my pocket with two euro coins, it should not break when I sit down.

No, it will come in new packaging which will contain all the usual accessories, and no, you will not get the original phone back.

Apple specifically say DO NOT return accessories with faulty iPhone
Expect the same service as in store ,a service replacement unit in a Service brown box and you use the original accessories unless also faulty and subject to a warranty claim -

Since the OP's original question was not answered why doesn't the OP call Apple and find out what you should do, i.e., if you bought the iPhone in the US you should still be able to return the iPhone for repair whether that repair was within the warranty provisions.
Once you find out what the cost is to repair, if applicable, you can then make a decision as to whether you should have it repaired or buy a phone which may be less expensive than repair. -
Help appreciated.... Bascially 2 of the devices (an IPad and the iPhone 3) are used by me and the others by my wife, son and daughter. They all sync to the same iTunes library so I am thinking that if the other 3 get their own apple IDs, they will not be able to access the existing library.
Please note that though a fan of apple stuff, I am utterely useless at using them so I am sorry if my question is naieve or ill informed!

StephenYou can all have independent AppleIDs for iCloud or iMessage etc, but share the same one for iTunes Store / AppStore purchases.

Not at all. It only means that they are backed up. Your apps are still on your device. If you use iCloud, then when you purchase a new app, then the app is automaticallly pushed to all other iCloud enabled devices for that account.

I just got an apple at&t iphone 4 and I have it unlocked. But I want to connect it to t-mobile, so I trimmed my sim card and once the phone was unlocked I inserted the sim and it says no sim, activation error. What can I do to fix this? What is wrong?

If you go the "your iPhone is now unlocked" message after restoring it, it's probably unlocked, but the only certain way to know is to try a SIM from a different carrier.

If you are having Issues with downloading iOS 5....
Try temporarily disabling your firewall and antivirus software and try again...
