I went to slide my wifi on, but its stuck on the off! It wont let me slide it on and is just Grayed out

Try a reset:
Hold the home and power keys down until the Apple logo appears.

Recently my wifi wont slide over onto on position, i have tried to reset the settings and have turned with wifi home hub of and on again. I dropped my phone in january and apple replaced the inside at at nice cost! the wifi worked for a while but now it only works on 3G - can anyone help?

I have the same problem with my 4S too, if the slider won't even let you slide, the it's most likely that the WiFi module inside the phone is broken
Take your phone to a Apple store and let them see if I'm correct
This is a common issue found only on 4S, Apple gave me a new 4S because of this

Well, the two questions you've asked aren't really related, but that being said, you should probably plug it in. You're going to have to restore the software to the device via iTunes.

Usually this error occurs when trying to downgrade the iOS or in a previously jailbroken phone. In this case, you cannot get help here. The internet and Google are your best friends.

Even i had a same issue on my iphone 3gs. Its a boot memory issue and can be resolved in two ways
1. You need to remove the battery and keep it for 20mins(Which is lil complicated if u donot know how to remove) then place it back so that it refreshes the memory and starts fresh boot.
OR
2. Dry out the battery completely ensure it dies without battery , keep it saftely without charging for a week(7days mandatory) and after a week start charging . This procedure ensure that once the battery is completely dried it will refresh the boot memory and starts with fresh boot . This process is same as the above
As i donot recommend removing the battery as the procedure is complicated and factory fit is not obtained, you may also end up with loose screws hence i would recommend going with 2nd step , let me know if you have any questions.

try a different cable a different usb port, drop all security software and fire wall, try a different computer here are the steps
recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn device off
hold home button and plug cable into IOS device. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on IOS device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

My iphone 5 wont slide to unlock, but hard resetting (Holding power button and Home button) doesn't fix it.

I tried to unlock my iphone by sliding the bar, but nothing happens, the phone is not frozen because the backround still moves, but i cant unlock it or answer calls. i tried the hard reset but it didnt work either. any help apreciated.

Try connecting the iPhone to iTunes and don't even try to slide to unlock ...just let it bring iTunes App up and then do a Sync.
