my iphone 4 went completely dead since then i tried chargeing it with a charger bought from sams wholesale which was an aftermarket charger which did not work i then plugged it into the factory wall charger it comes on but says searching for signle i talked to apple support ny telephone and they said i need to restore my phone but unless plugged into the wall the phone will not come on please advise on this

If you mean you didn't backup or sync your phone, everything on it will be lost when you get a replacement unless the techs are able to do this. Apps can be re-downloaded.

What troubleshooting have you tried? Try a reset, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot. If it does not, then you need to try and restore via iTunes. Try connecting the phone to the computer and iTunes and see if it is recognized. It worked fine before class, when I left class to check my phone, it wouln't turn on. If I plug it into the wall outlet and it shows the red battery indicating it has no charge, then goes to the apple logo screen for a few minutes before turning on and saying activation required. It was trying to make me go through the steps of activating it. If i unplug it, it will turn back off. It will not power up if I plug it into the computer, and it does not show up as a device on my computer. I have tried holding down the home and power button to reset it, and this does not work. I bought the phone when it first came out, Im trying to avoid taking it the the Apple store because it is 2 hours away.

As long as the adapter is 2 pronged, then you should be able to use it without any problems.

Here's what I found about error 1602:
Error 1600, 1601, 1602: Try the following steps to resolve this error:
Ensure proper USB isolation troubleshooting has been performed, and test with a known-good cable.
Follow the steps listed for Error 1604.
This error may be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.
Error 1603: If you receive this error and the iOS device is not automatically placed into recovery mode, it may be necessary to do so manually. Refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore for steps on placing iPhone into forced recovery mode. Also, remove the IPSW and attempt to restore again. If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.

cannect it to a computer and let it sync through iTunes. Contacts are a broad problem. You need to state where your contacts are located i.e. do you use yahoo mail? do you sync to iCloud? there are alot of answers for you problem but you need to be a little more detailed

IPhone 4S only powers on when plugged into a wall charger, stuck in bootloop

Today I went to get my phone's screen fixed. At first, the problem was that the phone was rebooting every 3-4 minutes. Then, after it died, it doesn't power on anymore, except when it is plugged into a wall charger. However, it is stuck in a bootloop, where it shows the apple logo for about 7 seconds, then the screen goes black for about 5 seconds, then repeats. I can't unplug it or else the phone goes dead, and plugging it into my computer results in the same deadness. I've tried DFU Mode, Recovery and everything else when plugged into my computer, but it remains dead and black screened. The phone is not picked up at all, it doesn't power on or anything. It only powers on when it is wall charged, but it will bootloop. I can't get past this, and there is no way I can restore it. Help?

Your battery is dead. You will have to replace it see article:

My iphone ran out of battery a few days ago, and now it will not charge back up. Its been plugged in for over a day, when the home button is pressed it displays a battery with 3 small red bars. I was able to get it into recovery mode and restore factory settings - but this did not solve the problem! it is still not turning on. I have tried changing chargers etc. already and i believe it is a problem with the phone. please help!

Could be a battery problem. You'll have to visit an Authorized Apple Service Provider to Apple Store to get it checked for hardware issues.

I tried to reset my phone by pushing the home and top button and the "plug into iTUNES" message came on. But when i unplug my phone from the wall to plug it into my computer it shuts off. When I try to turn my Ipod touch on, the apple will show up and then shut down.....I found that it will turn on and work if it's plugged in on my music dock, but the second I take it off it goes dead, even though it says the battery is full.
I'd appreciate it if anyone has any suggestions!

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem then you likely have a hardware problem like a bad battery.

New T61 will not power on unless plugged into AC Power

Hello all,
I am a new owner of a T61 laptop and so far I love it. Though, I have found something rather weird. I cannot power on my laptop with just battery power. I have to plug it in to power it on. From that point on, I can run off of battery power. I have a 9-cell battery. Once the laptop is powered up, it reads as 100% battery power. I would really appreciate any ideas or tips that anyone may have.

Sounds like a bad battery. We received a shipment of 30 T61's in which 17 of them had bad batteries straight out of the box. Exact same symptom as yours. You should contact your Lenovo or the store you bought your laptop from. Last year, Lenovo recalled defective batteries for T60s.
