Any ideas. This is driving me crazy... All my info, numbers etc will be lost

DFU Mode Restore.
With iTunes open, connect iPhone to computer. Hold both Home and Power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, release Power button, keep holding Home button until the iPhone is recognized by iTunes in Recovery Mode. This ususally takes 20 seconds more time. If the screen is black, this is DFU Mode. Restore the iPhone Firmware. If you get the connect to iTunes screen this is Recovery Mode, you can try the Restore, but if unsuccessful then do a DFU Mode Restore as I described. DFU Mode has the black screen. Even experienced users can have some trouble getting DFU Mode, keep trying (iTunes Recovery Mode + iPhone black screen = DFU Mode).

Try rebooting. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPhone should restart. See if you can use it when it comes back up.

iPhone 4 freezes and will not restart and cannot be restored using iTunes (unknown error 1602). My daughter's iPhone 4 did the same thing 10 days ago. Is this a software glitch? I replaced her phone, but I'm ready to switch to Android.

I am using Sophos Antivirus, but after disabling, still no luck. Tried the other USB port; no luck (same 1602 error). I'll take it to the Apple store tomorrow, but if they recommend replacing the phone I'm switching.
I went through this ~15 years ago when the Apple OS got so buggy and unstable that I had to abandon PowerBooks and switch to Windows. Oddly enough, this was after Jobs left the first time. I hope history isn't repeating itself.

Ummm... plug it into a charger? Silly, I know, but you do not actually say you tried it...

It was a very bad idea to post your email address where millions of people will see it. Expect your spam to increase exponentially, as well as the phishing attempts. Take it to your local Apple Store and have the genius take a look. If it won't respond at all, it sounds like a hardware failure.

My iPhone will not play music, and says it's connected to a dock when it's not. Help?

My iPhone will not play music. Whenever I try to play music through the speakers on my iPhone it won't let me adjust the volume (like it's connected to a dock) and when I do connect it to a dock, the music plays through the iPhone speakers. Also I've tried just listening to my music through earphones and it plays for around 6 seconds then it goes back to like it's connected to a dock. Help? I've tried turning it off and on, restarting it and even restoring it and nothing's worked.

It says this when not connected to the dock. His dock is an ihome which isn't an official Apple dock. I think my next step is to take the thing in to an Apple store.

So this is the fix finally. Forget the links
change your Region Format settings to USA.
iPhone/iPod Settings > General > International > Region Format > then change country
Obviously 17,000 posts and 5300 Kudos you know what you are talking about. . I don't understand why customer support at the company doesn't just come out and say the new app is screwed. Many others are having the same issue. Technical support is a joke it's a bunch of high school students cutting and pasting the same questions. I am having the same problem. Itunes reports that it's uploaded all the music etc.
When I turn the match function on, it says "you are not currently subscribed to itunes match".
I have restarted the phone and coputer, logged in & out several times to no avail.
Any ideas or suggestions?
