I just downloaded the iPhone OS 5 update and my phone won't accept my me.com password so I can't unlock it.
Anyone got any ideas?
I'm using the same id and password to log in here so it's definitely the right one!

After each step, toggle iMessage and FaceTime off and then on again in Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime.

If you receive an error when signing in to your Apple ID, visit myinfo.apple.com, sign in to your account, and ensure that the primary email address has been verified.
Ensure that FaceTime has not been restricted: Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
In Settings > General > Date & Time, ensure that Set Automatically is on. If Set Automatically is on, but the incorrect time zone is displayed, turn Set Automatically off and then choose the correct time zone, date, and time. Then turn Set Automatically on again.
Enable iMessage and FaceTime while connected to another Wi-Fi network in a different location.

IPhone won't play in Radio Dock after upgrading to 4.1

Hi, I recently upgraded to 4.1 from 3.1.2. Now when I plug my iPhone into my FM Radio/iPOD/iPhone clock radio it only plays out of the internal iPhone speaker. My friends IPOD Nano works in it, but not the iPhone. It was working up until the time I upgraded the OS to 4.1 on Saturday. Any help, guidance, ideas will be greatly appreciated.

While many iPod accessories will work with the iPhone, not all of them will. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of your cable to see if they certify it as "Works with iPhone" or if they have options for you.

Photos and Podcasts won't sync to Apple TV after upgrade

I recently switched from one MacBook (10.5) to a newer one (10.6) running iTunes 9.0.2 (25) and have upgraded my Apple TV software to 3.0.1. I was able to sync the Apple TV to the iTunes library on my new MacBook, but it will only sync music and movies. I get an error message saying "iTunes cannot sync photos because of a problem on your computer. An unknown error occurred (-50)." I have already tried deleting and re-creating the iLife preferences file and the xml file for iPhoto. Can anyone help me figure this out?

I had a similar problem with my cousin's Apple TV and new 27" iMac. After finding a warm body to speak with at Apple, they asked if there were any slide shows in iPhoto. When I said, yes, they suggested deleting them. Since the photos were already in albums, that was not a problem. After deleting the slide shows from iPhoto, the photos sync'd to the Apple TV just fine.
They did have a follow on suggestion that I did not need to try and that was to restore the Apple TV to the factory settings, downloading the software updates and trying to sync. Please note that this was not necessary and so I do not know if this is an alternative "fix".
Deleting the slide shows from iPhoto did the job.

Wiki won't accept OD user logins after upgrading to server 3.1.1

I have an OS X server 3.x running on OS X 10.9.3. I have several WiKi users, most are OpenDirectory (neiwork) users and one is a 'local' user. Prior to the weekend I was running Server 3.0.3 and all was good. Since uograding to Server 3.1.1 none of the network/OD users can log in to their Wikis. The local user can log in just fine. The network users can log in to all their other servcies (Mail, Calendar,Contacts, SMB/AFP shares etc.) just fine. They can also log into my regular SSL web-site which requires passwords. Only the wiki login is broken.
In the collabd.dlog file I see:

Okay, this problem has re-surfaced (on server 3.1.2). Here are the symptoms:
1.    It only affects network (Open Directory) users. It affects all network users.
2.    It only affects the Wiki service; OD users can authenticate for all other services (Mail, Contacts, Calendar, VPN, Time Machine, OS X login on client machines) without problem.
3.    Stopping and restarting the Wiki Servcie and the OD servcie does not fix the problem, but rebooting the server does. Things will then be fine for a while (I have not yet quantified how long 'a while' is) and then the problems occurs again.
4.    When the problem is present, even a newly created user cannot login to the Wiki servcie.
5.    When the login failure occurs, the collabd.log file contains the following:

It sounds like you have too many devices associated with that Apple ID.
Sign on to iTunes on your computer. Go to Store > View Account from iTunes' menu. Sign in and click "Manage Devices". Remove some.

Unless you purchased the iPhone direct from Apple in the UK and paid full price either on line or In an Apple Store then it will be locked to a UK Carrier and only that carrier can arrange unlocking
It is unlikely that the iPad is similarly locked as most are sold carrier free unless specifically purchased from a UK carrier as part of a packaged deal involving a subsidy on the price of the iPad ( not very likely but they do exist )

Hi, Did you find a fix for this? I have the same issue, I've logged out of everything I can think of on my phone and logged back in again and it appears to accept the password. Yet when I try and update my apps it says that the password is incorrect! Ive reset my passwords both AOL and Apple. When I log on via a PC it accepts them, but when I try and buy / update something via the app store on my phone it says that the password is incorrect. Ive made sure that software levels are up to date etc.

Messages won't accept my Apple ID

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.5) and Messages won't accept my Apple ID. Accepts all my other Chat clients, just not the main one I upgraded for (i want to be able to respond to my iPhone texts on my iMac).
The error message i get is:
Could not sign in to iMessage.
The server encountered an error processing
registration. Please try again later.
There is probably an easy fix here...

Also check the Serial Number is present.
Use the Apple Icon Menu and About this Mac.
In the new panel click twice on the line that states the current OS version.
It will change to the Build number (of the OS) and then to the Serial Number.
If the Logic board has been replaced in a refurbishment or repair the Serial Number is supposed to be "flashed" to the new board.
If it is missing it will mean a trip to an Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider.

How can two people use both of their shared credit cards on each of their two iPhones if the credit card numbers are the same but the names are different? The iPhone won't accept the second card because it says that it's already been loaded.

Only one credit card can be on an iTunes account at any one time - presumably if they are shared credit cards with the same card number then it's the same credit card account with the one bill, so from a billing/payment point of view does it make any difference which card is on the account(s) ?

Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

To change the ID on your phone for purchasing, go to Settings>Store, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in with the ID you want to use. However, apps and their updates are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them (regardless of the ID in Settings>Store). If you purchased apps with this other ID you will have to keep using it to update the apps.

My iPad won't accept my Apple ID on iTunes & App Store

I recently had a problem with signing in with my apple id on ipad. It started when I can't download applications from the app store properly. The device will ask for my password but once I've entered the password it will load for a moment and get that GET button again. So I now signed out my apple id on itunes as well as icloud. I've reset my password. Now, it won't accept my apple id and password. But it worked perfectly on my icloud account. Once I've entered my password and id it will just load for a bit. The sign in button will not be active. But then after several seconds it will appear again with no further notifications or error display.
