My iphone won't accept updates on itunes, how do I fix this?

Whenm I try to plug it in and sync it an update comes up as well. Whether I update it or not it won't sync or update. Can anyone help?

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
