I used to share one apple ID/account with my ex but made a new one for myself recently and logged out of the old one but when I try to update my iBooks (only happens with this app)it asks for the other account's password(which my ex changed by now). I don't understand why this happens when I'm logged into my account and it only happens with that app. Please help, I need to update. :/
Content (apps, music, ibooks, films etc) is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so if the iBooks app was downloaded using the account that you used to share with your ex then only that account can download updates to it. As it's a free app you could delete it and re-download it under your own account - and then re-download your ibooks into it (or copy the books to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync them back to the app).

while playing scrabble on my iphone, a message appears that i have to log in to orgins again, that my time expired. When I try to log in, it reads..auto log in...then it never finishes logging in....what can i do to login to orgins and stay logged in. Origins is an EA product so I would suggest checking with EA or Electronic Arts to see if the Origins servers are having an issue or checking your user name and password with them.

I wanted to erase my ipod so i went on settings, then general and then i erased my ipod
but when the apple logo comes up, it just freezes right there and i try to reboot it but it keeps freezing
so how can i fix this? please helpTry a Safe Boot by Restarting and holding down the Shift key between the startup tone and the Apple logo w/pinwheel. It will take longer to boot up in Safe mode. If successful, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk > select your OSx disk and restart.

I have an iphone 4s. I have a mac computer and a pc. Most of my itunes library is on my pc, but when I try to add music to my phone from my library on the pc, it won't let me do it. I CAN add music from my library that is on my mac, same account. My husband has the same problem with his iphone 4, but only uses pc.
My husband and I are using the same iTunes account on all mac & pc computers, but the libraries are different on each machine. We always manually manage our music (no auto sync). iTunes is up to date on the PCs. My husband uses our joint iTunes account on his pc, but once again, has a different collection in his library from those on the other machines. He can't load any music from his PC to his iphone 4. I can load music from my mac library to my iphone 4s, but cannot load from my pc library to my iphone 4s. How can I switch my main library that it syncs with from the mac to the pc?

Help.I uninstalled ios8 using the directions on the web site and now all my apps,mail are gone.I backed up to iTunes first but when I try to sync to get everything back,it starts and then says it has failed.What do I do now.Thanks.Jane
The first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or to set up the iPhone as a new iPhone.
The former does as provided - it transfers the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the iPhone replacing all data on the iPhone that is included with the backup being transferred. The latter does nothing allowing you to make your various selections for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
This is designed to be done right away with a new iPhone.
If you don't have a backup for the iPhone with iTunes on your computer and don't have an iCloud backup that hasn't been updated since choosing to transfer the backup for your iPod Touch to the iPhone, the data that was on the iPhone is gone. -

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Go into Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and make sure that your phone number is checked and iMessage reads as activated. Remove the checkmark from the email address and make sure that only the phone number if checked. It should appear grayed out, but should still have a checkmark. If the phone number does not have a checkmark, then turn off iMessage, wait a few moments and then turn iMessage back on and make sure that it activates.

I have a Macbook Pro (2013) OS 10.8.1. Moved into a university house and need to use ethernet cable. Bought the Thunderbold connection but when I try to use the ethernet with it a webpage comes up saying Wireless Setup and Router Setup? I have previously used ethernets in similar situations and never had to input information like this?
I have tried to turn of the wi-fi but that doesn't work either. I think it could be a something to do with the internet provider because virginmedia comes up on the webpage. This is what comes up:

My laptop has crashed and I can't sync my iPad air. I have tried to back up off I cloud but it hasn't transferred all of my photos or music. Is there anyway I can access my iTunes account any other way?
Your iTunes account won't include your non-iTunes purchased e.g. music copied from CDs etc, nor photos that were synced from a computer.
To get non-iTunes music you will have to go via a computer. If you don't have that music on, for example, an external drive, then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back from a device : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
For photos that were originally synced from a computer then there are apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy them between devices and/or to a computer (though photos are 'optimised' as part of the syncing process, so if you do copy them back to a computer then they might not be the same as they were on your laptop).
