My iPhone wont connect to iTunes to update apps

My iPhone 4S is recognised in iTunes when I plug it into my computer (it backs up& syncs), but when I try to update the apps on my phone or try to buy a ring tone the message 'cannot connect to iTunes' comes up on my phone. Ive tried going in settings & turning the date off automatic & changing the date to a year ahead but that didn't work (this was what a lot of people with the same problem seemed to do & it seemed to work).

    Hello Apple_Addict22,
Thank you for your question. iOS 7 requires iTunes 11.1.  First, I recommend trying to obtain the update by going to the iTunes menu and selecting Check for Updates.

If you continue to get the message that iTunes is up to date, you can download the latest version of iTunes here:

Once the file downloads, double click on the installation file that downloaded to initiate the installation.

  • Iphone wont connect to iTunes or computer wont connect to iPhone?

Either my Iphone wont connect to itunes or my computer wont connect to iphone! My computer makes an unusual noise as I plug in a apple device, This wont let itunes pick up my devices. I have gone though all the proceedures online in which have failed. But when uninstalling Itunes, Apple mobile device was deleted in which then windows recognised my iphone and it started to charge which it did not do when I previously plugged it in. Just wondering if anyone has had similar problems and knows how to help?? Thanks

    I'd look at these options
    first,
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
    It that fails,
DFU mode[1] is a state that you can put your iPhone into where it can interface with iTunes but does not load the iPhone operating system or boot loader (this is what really differs DFU mode from recovery mode). DFU stands for Device Firmware Update.
While connected to PC, running iTunes, hold down Home and Power( button on upper right edge) button for exactly 8 seconds.
Release the power button.  Restore message will appear in iTunes.  The device will be recognized by iTunes, but no display will appear on the device itself.  The lack of a display on the device will verify that it is in dfu mode.

You will have to put your phone into recovery mode and restore the phone as new. Since you don't have a back up, you will lose all the data on your phone but you will be able to use it again.

Has it ever worked with this computer and operating system? If it hasn't try updating the BIOS on the computer. There is a USB driver problem in Windows 7 and computers that have Intel p55 and pm55 chipsets. If it has worked in the past try these tips: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1495

  • My iphone wont connect to itunes after ios 7.0 update. Help!

I can not set up any of my apps after the new update. It keeps telling me to connect to itunes to enable push notifications. The message keeps popping up so I can not even use the app without having the push notifications enabled. I also am unable to activate my imessages. How can I fix this problem? Its rather annoying.

Ok this is how I fixed this. Apparently iTunes uses Safari.
Go to Settings -> Safari -> and Clear Cookies and Data and also Clear History - scroll down to see those settings.
Set Block Cookies to either "from third parties and advertisers" or "Never" (you choose which one)
In Advanced (scroll down its the last setting) make sure JavaScript in ON
Here  is the last step I had to make to fix it - which may not apply to you.  Some time ago I changed my primary email for apple. I noticed it was  asking me to enter the password for the secondary email.
I  went into iTunes and App Store, tapped my Apple Id and then Sign Out. I  then resigned in using my primary Apple email and password.
Just to make sure, I turned the phone off and on, but honestly this may be optional.
    I am now working again.
    I hope this helps you.

  • IPhone wont connect to iTunes, please help!

    Hi guys
every time I connect my iPhone to the computer, iTunes doesn't seem to see it. I was getting an error about corefoundation.dll couldn't be found or something and found that another forum user said if i were to uninstall mobilemecontrolpanel then that would fix it. I didn't get the error message on start up anymore but it still wont connect. I've uninstalled iTunes as per Apple website and still nothing.
I'm reluctant to restart my iPhone and lose everything on it
    Any suggestions?
    iPhone 3GS running OS 4.0
    iTunes 9.2.1 on windows xp
    Thank you so much
    Layth

I know you have said you have uninstalled iTunes and Mobile Me and that didnt work. There is another thread that may help you.

It appears Mobile Me is the culprit here.
