My iphone wont connect to my wifi it just keeps loading
I updated to ios 7.1 and then my wifi stopped working. all the other devices i have connected to it are working but my iphone. my iphone will reconigze my wifi and will try to connect but, it'll just keep loading. I tried resetting, turning my wifi off, restarting the router, everything.
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Same thing started on 1/30/13 for me first thing in the AM with my iPad mini. If I am more than 10 ft away (line of sight) from my AirPort Extreme I get the not able to join network message even though it is showing 3 bars. I was running 6.0.1 at the time and have just updated to 6.1 with no improvement.

Iphone 4 wont connect to home wifi but connects to neighbors open wifi. Family members with iphones can connect to the wifi automatically and Mac compiuter in home connects to this wifi and this iphone did connect automaticcally until a few weeks ago. Does not request password when try to connect to own wifi..just says "cant access.". Also cant access the Apple apps store to purchase apps but all other function operate normally. Apple store tech says nothing wrong with phone. It connected to their wifi and coud access apps store from their wifi. This iphone belongs to son who is autistic. I am mother trying to resolve this issue and very frustrated. Have reset router but no change.
Based on the symptoms, your phone is fine, and the Router is the problem. Try http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398. Specifically the "forget this network" step. I would also consider resetting the wifi network password. Sometimes that will allow a connection.

Power Cycle
Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Start up in Safe Mode.

Question about personal hotspot. I know I can share GSM / 3G but I would like to know if my iPhone is connected to a wifi can I also share that wifi collection, through personal hotspot? And if so can it be through wifi or does it have to be Bluetooth or USB?
Sounds like an odd question but my phone will connect to BT Openzone so I want to share that with my iPad via personal hotspot. I could use 3G but then it comes off my data allowance and I don't want to have to buy a separate SIM for my iPad if I can avoid it. I can swap my sim from my phone, but that's a pain!
