My Iphone wont recieve phone calls

Hiya everyone,
As the title says my iphone wont receive phone calls, when you phone it it just goes straight to answer phone and some times it takes for ever to receive texts as well. is there anything i can do to fix this??

Hi Ryan,
An easy troubleshooting step that may resolve the issue is restarting the iPhone. You can do this by holding the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears> then slide to turn off> and turn the iPhone back on by pressing the Sleep/Wake again, as described on page 46 of the iPhone User Guide.

But basically make sure that iCloud is enabled with the same account in both your Mac and iPhone, turn off Wi-Fi calls if enabled in your iPhone and make sure that Facetime has the same accounts in your devices.

You can try a hard reset by holding down the home button and the lock button at the same time until the apple appears. If that doesn't work I think you should definitely go into an apple store.

My iphone get blocked when I recieve phone calls

when I recieve phone calls my phone get blocked it shows somebody is calling me in black color but when I want to return to the main screen it get blocked and I have to turn off to use it

What leads you to believe that you are entitled to an upgrade because of a hardware issue?
Warranty only entitles you to the same model/capacity device as replacement.
If you are out of warranty, you pay out of warranty replacement cost which is $199 (regardless of model/capacity).
If you are eligible for full-discount upgrade, that would be the better route to go.
If you are not eligible for full-discount upgrade, the most economical solution is warranty or out of warranty replacement.

I cannot recieve phone calls, SMS after 3.0 and credit is being eaten

On wednesday, like most iPhone users, i was waiting for 3.0, finally when it came i downloaded and everything seemed fine. But since then, i cannot recieve phone calls, nut sometimes i get the odd random phone call, SMS are extremely delayed or they dont even come at all. I've been looking at other forums for help. I have changed settings numerous times and i can recieve calls and SMS but i keep getting this message saying that i need 17p for internet roaming. I have never had this before. Long story short, got my iPhone for christmas, i used my old sim, mum used the other sim. Can anyone help me please?

yes. I've tried to reset and reboot 4 times since updating. Although, i've just posted in another thread a bit more relevant and it mentioned Push causing problems. Although mine was on (and always is) but is set to manual, (so you'd think it was like having it switched off). Anyway, i've switched Push to OFF (Settings> Mail, Contacts Calendar > Fetch New Data) and it seems to have solved it for now. How odd. Can you set iphone alarm to phone calls only?

when i had a blackberry you could set it to "phone calls only" in one simple step, so while you were sleeping you didn't get bothered by emails and texts, but still would hear the phone ring for emergencies. can you set this easily on iphone with out having to uncheck all notifications etc?

Iphone crashes after phone call

My iphone 3gs will crash immediately after completing a phone call. I don't even hit "end call". Crashes as my lower the iphone from my ear. Need to do a reset each time. Any suggestions?

Do you have a case on it?
Try removing it and see if that helps. A case can block the proximity sensor.
You can try a restore as well.

My definition of an Apple Store, which is what you said you visited in your first post, is what everyone else defines it as, one owned and run by Apple. The store you visited is not owned nor managed by Apple but rather by some independent company, so Apple is not in control of what they told you. This is something you need to address with the manager or owner of that store. Apple cannot assist you with this issue.

IPhone makes random phone call

Today I had a random number (not in my contacts) text me asking why I called them. I went on my recents, however, and no record of the phone call was present. The person even screenshotted my phone call on their phone, but I still don't know how I could've possibly called them. I wasn't using my phone at the time, and once again, the phone call was not recorded in my recents. Could there be something wrong with my phone?

This is a legitimate problem. My brother in law is being ghost called by my phone and has sent me a screenshot. it is a serious issue and seems to infect others. I wish someone could fix this.

The iphone is designed to lock the screen when it is next to your face.
If it is not locking when it is against your ear, then try basic troubleshooting: Restart,reset, restore
Unless you have a case on it. If you have a case, then remove the case and see if that solves it. Otherwise, try basic troubleshooting.
If all fails then make an appointment at the local genius bar or call Apple support to arrange from a replacement.

Iphone wont recieve ALL texts! very annoying

Hey, i have recently noticed that my iphone 3g 4.1 wont receive every single sms people send to me, this is becoming more and more annoying as i have no idea whos text me or not!
i dont know whether its a hardware problem or just the software. but its not like "it will only receive from certain phones" because it will receive some and then randomly stop receiving from that person but receive from another person!

Regardless, it's not an iPhone issue... it's a carrier issue.
Contact your carrier and have the other party contact their carrier as well.
SMS's are not guaranteed to be delivered. If it's a really important message, pick up the phone and call the person.

Wont recieve texts/ calls....screen freezes up

So, in the past 6 weeks I have received 3 replacements thunderbolts from Verizon because the ones I have wont receive calls or texts...does any one else have this issue...I am also having issues with the screen freezing up. I am truly hating this phone WITH a passion and Verizon doesn't seem to want to help me fix it..anyone else having this problem
