My iPhone wont turn on has a red battery cell when charger plugs in
My iPhone 4 stopped working a week ago I just tried turning in on again
Now it is showing some life a red battery cell come up and a lighting bolt but won't turn on any ideas
Charge it for at least 15 minutes with the wall charger (NOT a computer). Then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. If you charge with a computer charge for at least 1 hour.

My old 1st gen ipod touch wont turn on and makes a clicking sound when I plug it in.
My old 1st gen ipod touch wont turn on and makes a clicking sound when I plug it in. The ipod doesnt turn on when I plug it into the wall, even if I let it charge, and itunes won't recognize it. I have tried to reset it with the home and power buttons. Whats wrong and how can I fix it? I think it might be the memory or the battery. What could the clicking sound be related to? Thanks
Try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then try restoring the iPod. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
After that I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. -
its just all black and wont turn on or show any light. ive had it for about 2 years now. its a ipod touch 5th generation and blue not sure what to be but it has everything on it thats so important.. i need help and im unsure about the IOS :/
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Black macbook just shut down while playing warcraft 3. It wont turn back on and has no charge on the battery ( it was charging just fine). Any ideas?
This can be caused by faulty battery. Make Genius reservation and take the iPhone to Apple Store for free quick battery diagnostic testing.

Hi stevenfearks,
Welcome to the Support Communities! I understand you've tried some troubleshooting, but I'm not sure if you've completed all of the steps outlined below. Give these a try in the order indicated.
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on - Apple Support
http://support.apple.com/en-is/HT201412
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
I hope this information helps ....

IPHONE WONT TURN ON TODAY????
All of a sudden today out of the blue my Iphone wont turn on?
Anyone else ever have this problem?
Any ideas why or what i should try?
Help please
RobFirst try a reset:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you(hopefully) see the Apple logo, then release. Ignore the slide to power off, should it appear.
If that doesn't work:
See if you can force the phone into recovery mode:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, itunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -
My iphone wont turn on, what should i do ?
my iphone wont turn off and i plugged it in different chagers and nothing . what should i di ?
Flip the silent (mute) switch on the side to see if it vibrates (which indicates it has power). If it doesn't, try charging it in a wall outlet for 15-30 minutes and try again. If it won't charge you'll have to take it to the Apple Store for evaluation as you may have a hardware failure. If it does have power, try resetting it: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release.

Hello StephanieeLovezYou,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone. I would be concerned too if my iPhone was only turning on when connected to power. I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this. I recommend following the steps below:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

My iPhone 3Gs has frozen and I can't do anything except turn it off by hard boot. When I plug it in, I have the apple icon and that is all. It was at 43 percent battery life when it happened and my Twitter app was giving me problems. Thoughts?
Put it in recovery mode and restore it as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

I am using a iPhone 6 but it has got red screen. Pls suggest to fix it.
Hello sarzinafromnew york,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To help resolve this issue where you only see a red screen on your iPhone, please follow the steps outlined below.
Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.
Reset your device while it's plugged in.
If resetting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.
