My iphone4 freezes causing the battery to drain quickly, the buttons do not work while the phone is frozen. what can i do?
My phone has started to freeze, when I pull the menu bar down, when I am in apps, just any time. when it freezes, the buttons do not work. The battery dies within an hour of being off the charger. I do not know what to do, or why it has started to do this. please help.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning performance issues:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

Resolution
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

I have a couple of articles for you to run through and test out. The first is to address the camera not working, take a look at this one iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802.
Camera is not functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center. Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Lastly you may need to backup and restore the device with iTunes:

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro and am a very new user to Mac community only started to use this PC a few weeks ago.
My Mac is just hanging and I am unable to shut it down or do anything at all. I left it for 2.5 days hoping the battery will run flat but it is not working. Pls help! I am desperate. TxIn order to resolve the issue if it occurs again, more info would be helpful as to what occurred prior to the "hang." One potential fix would be to try a Safe Boot:
After the Mac is completely shut down, push the power button and immediately after the startup tone, hold down the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
There should be a message that says "SafeBoot." After the Mac is completely booted, try restarting and see if the issue is gone. -
My back and forward buttons do not work also the refresh button does not work, I have reloaded the latest version of fire fox and that did not help. All of navigation tool bar worked until I updated Fire Fox, now if I click on a link in yahoo, for instance, I can not get back to my yahoo home page without reloading Fire Fox. HELP please.

Firefox did an automatic update to 6.01, and now my middle mouse button is not working in the browser. It doesn't close tabs, it doesn't open new tabs by middle clicking a link, it doesn't allow me to middle click to scroll the page..

I'm on Firefox 3.6.21, and I got this problem today after a Greasemonkey update (To version 0.9.10, apparently).
Disabling Greasemonkey solved the problem, and re-enabling it reproduced the problem (middle-clicking links to open in new tab did not work, merely highlighted the link).
I should also note that while Greasemonkey was enabled and the bug was affecting me, Ctrl+Click to open links in new tabs was also broken.

EDIT: It appears this is a known incompatibility/conflict bug between current versions of Greasemonkey and Tab Mix Plus. Read more here:

EDIT 2: GREASEMONKEY HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED with a workaround to fix the problem. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/versions/ to install the update manually. The forward, back, refresh, and stop buttons are not working. Even after installing the latest Firefox update. Also my home page stopped loading upon startup even tho I have it setup to do so. Anyone else experiencing these issues? This is my second request for help and of course, Firefox on-line support is always closed.

Thanks.Then there isn't anything you can do about it then. Your only choice is to pay to have the device fixed or replaced. Apple is in charge of that, and as I said in the other thread, this is not Apple you are talking to, we are users like you and cannot do anything about that.

It could be that your button has justy gone out. You may try getting compressed air to blow out any dust in there. If that doesn't work, you may have to get your button and ribbon replaced.

When I go into mail the loading icon is on constantly and the battery is drained I think something is running in that programme but have no idea how to find it and turn it off
Of course something is running constantly. One of the email accounts is not syncing.
Figure out which account is constantly trying to send email, most likely a message is stuck in one of the outboxes and either delete the message or delete and re-add the account. -

I just tried to update my iPhone 4 to 7.1 and for some strange reason the phone wouldn't update then wanted me to restore it... (Figures!) What it says in the title.
I have an older mac and it worked perfectly until about an hour ago when I shut it down because we needed the room dark for a presentation and the screen saver was putting out light.
Now it won't turn back on. It plays the start up music but the screen stays blank.
The CMD+OPT+R for recovery mode doesn't do anything, the keyboard is wireless so the command doesn't get to the computer and that's the only keyboard I have since that's the one it came with.
I'm looking at making a USB recovery disk but it says that I should click on "Options" in the Disk Utility but there is no options button or menu to click.
From here: OS X: About Recovery Disk Assistant in step 3 I get stuck.
Also it says that if I make a drive on this computer which has an older OS it might not work on the broken machine with Mavericks.
This machine literally worked and I turned it off and now it does not work and there seems to be nothing I can do... ***...kodemage wrote:

DPX files can be opened in 1.0.2 but not in 1.0.4
I have about 4000 DPX files that I can open on my copy of Color 1.0.2 at home, but not on my copy of Color 1.0.4 at work. They were exported from Cineform NeoHD on windows. Shake also seems to reject them, but After Effects has no problem with them.
