My iPhone4 will not connect to nobm
My iPhone4 will not connect via bluetooth to any normal mobile phone. Normal mobiles will pick up the iPhone, but the iPhone cannot find them. I have tried different brands, but no connection. I have followed all instructions on paring etc but no joy. I have not tried another iPhone. Seems as if the iPhone will not talk to ordinary phones.
iPhone Bluetooth does not include all the data exchange protocols; it's limited to things like headsets.

I have an AT&T contracted iphone 5. Cannot send mms to anyone but other iPhone users. If you search the Internet, you'll see that the problem is everywhere...both the carriers and Apple are actling like the problem belongs to the other, or feigning any knowledge (which is kind of funny since the no MMS thing was in an ios6 beta that was released awhile ago, so I KNOW apple knows about it). No, I'm not running a beta (obviously, I just got my iphone 5). Awesome. Have a great camera on this thing, but cannot send OR receive MMS from anyone other than other iphone users. Gotta love it.

Hi, I cannot get my iPad 2, iPhone4 (nor husbands HTC One) to connect to my wifi network. However, my Mac desktop connects perfectly. On the other devices I just get an error message saying that Safari cannot connect to the internet. This has been going on for a few days so I've tried all the fixes I can find on the web (restarting modem/router, forgetting netork settings, etc), but nothing seems to work. I've done all the latest updates on my devices. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Since multiple devices from different manufacturers are having the same issue, I think it would be a good idea to test the mobile devices on a different network to see if they work. That way you can isolate the issue to being with the router/modem or not. I see you have already restarted the router/modem, and forgot the network settings on the devices, but allow me to offer this article for assistance.

Check to see if you have a self-assigned IP address:
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. Then tap >.
If your IP address is 169.254.xxx.xxx, see this article.
If you do not have a self-assigned IP address, see if other Wi-Fi devices on your network have Internet access.
If they do not, consult with your network administrator or ISP for further assistance.
If they do, reset network settings on your device by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN and APN settings.

I have done the 'Reset Network Settings" with no results
I think the next step is 'Restoring IOS software by
Settings> General> Reset> Erase all content and settings
Then do a 'Restore"
I do NOT want to any of my data to get deleted. such as Contacts, txt messages, photos
Can I save my date to the icloud to save it before the Erase ?
Is there any other options I should be looking at ?I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version. I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again. I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again. My blue tooth doesn't work either. I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this. When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue. My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!! I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue. Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it. Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple. -
My iphone4s will not connect to itunes using my new acer computer
I bought a new Acer R7 laptop and logged into iTunes, thinking my iPhone would automatically be recognized but iTunes continually gives an error message saying it cannot recognize phone. A message does show up on my iPhone asking if I trust the computer and I hit yes. Then I get the Error message. Any ideas?

That is because they do not generally pair. What is it that you are trying to do by connecting them via Bluetooth? If you are referring to AirDrop or continuity, then all you need to do is have Bluetooth turned on, they do not pair.

My iphone4 will not switch on when not connected to the computer. If i connect it to the computer it switches on to recovery mode and itunes recognises it and tells me to restore it. When i then try to restore it it keeps giving me error 1611. When i connect it to the wall charger it switches on but gives the itunes sign. This really ***** now i dont know what to do. Is there still hope for my phone? Please help

I've had my phone for about 3 months now, and I've already had to have it replaced. I got a new one about 3 weeks ago, and until last night it has worked perfectly fine. Last night, it turned off, and will not turn back on. I've reset it countless times, but it goes right to the Apple logo and then freezes for hours. My brand new iphone5 will not connect to my home wifi even though it recognizes it. My ipad and my old iphone4s connect with no problem. Any thoughts?
Although your other devices connect okay, it would be worth resetting your router by switching if off for disconnecting it from mains power for 2 minutes and then switch it on again.

First run Software Update to make sure your iMac is up-to-date.
Even though things are working OK on other devices there may still be issues with your modem or router so it's best to start there. Locate the manuals on both devices and reset each. Do the modem first then the router. Next make sure the router has up-to-date firmware. If the problem continues after updating resetting and updating both devices then download and install iStumbler and let it run for about 30 minutes. iStumbler will scan your area for the Wi-Fi networks being used, pay attention to the channels each network is set to. Most routers are pre-set to channels 5 or 6 and if you are in a congested area and all the routers are set for channel 5 or 6 then you can see where there might be a problem. Set your router's channel to one not being used in your area, you have at least 14 channels to choose from. Also check to see if your router is using 802.11n, if it's not then it would be wise to upgrade the router to a faster device.
Next is if you are still having issues the problem could be your ISP's DNS settings. If you want to learn about DNS please read CNET's DNS Article and MacWorld's DNS Troubleshooting . Then use the instructions below to reset the DNS settings:
1. System preferences
2. Network
3. Click Advanced
4. Click DNS tab
5. Click + sign
6. Add 208.67.222.222
7. Click + sign
8. Add 208.67.220.220
9. Click OK.
10. Exit System Preferences -

My iPad 2 will not connect to my Time Capsule. Both my Macbook and iPhone4 are connected. It finds the Wifi network, but will not log on. Any idea why?

If none of the tricks like reboot (hold both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears) do not help, take the iPhone back to an Apple store genius bar and have them test the WiFi module. You can also connect via USB to a computer running iTunes and update that way.

my iPhone4 will not sync with iTunes, but Windows Explorer (Windows7) recognizes the iPhone is connected and will download photos from iPhone.
When I look at the Settings-General-iTunes Wifi Sync, it says "Sync will resume when "PC" is available."
More details:
I have three iPhone4 phones. 1 of them will Sync with iTunes, but the other 2 have this problem where they will not Sync. All 3 phones recently were able to Sync, like 10 or 14 days ago. I am Sync ing them all to the same PC and iTunes account. No idea what has changed to cause 2 of the iPhones to be unable to Sync. they both have the "Sync will resume when "PC" is available" message under the Wifi Sync menu.You say your phone will not sync but then you say, "when it does sync."
Does it sync or not? Did you remember to select music to sync onto your phone before clicking on Apply or Sync?
You do have to have iTunes on your computer in order to sync your phone. And your music must be in iTunes.
