My IPhone4S has a cracked front screen, how much do apple charge to replace/repair in the UK? does anybody know the most recent charges ( since the iphone5 has come out) Any help would be greatly appreciated as i don't know if i should go to apple or a fix and repair place.
P.S the phone is out of warranty.

That happened to my brother earlier. He went into Facebooand then into another app and the same thing happened. he ended up having to restore it. Mine stayed with the Apple logo for a bit but its back to normal after pressing the buttons a million times. I hope you get your problem sorted. Goodluck!

You should also check at OWC where they do Apple upgrades and have instructional videos on how to remove the screens. I dont know if they sell...or if you can find a screen and replace it yourself. Removing the screen isn't super easy but it's also not too tough.

Brand new, white Verizon iPhone4, has a yellow tinted screen.

I just bought a brand new Verizon (white) iPhone and noticed the color of the screen had a warmer (yellowish) tint to it, comparing it my iPod4 which has a cooler (bluish) tint. I then compared it to a friend's AT&T iPhone4 and noticed he had the cooler tint to it as well. We both had the brightness turned all the way up.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I really like the bluish look a lot more because the whites look more like whites.
I'm wondering if maybe my iPhone was color calibrated incorrectly or if this was done intentionally.

I haven't called Apple's customer care service but instead brought my iPhone into an official Apple retail store. The employee has never been approached about the yellow tint yet, and assured me there was nothing wrong with it. He also couldn't give me an answer I was looking for either; if it was Apple's intention or not. He himself had a brand new Verizon white iPhone and we compared ours and they both looked the same. I showed him my friends AT&T black iPhone and set it next to mine but he really didn't notice the difference. My friend also had a protective screen over it and the employee said maybe the blue tint I was seeing was from the plastic (which I know is not the cause).
I brought it to Verizon's store and the employee there said he didn't see any real problem with it and since Apple didn't send them a notice about a recall on their iPhone's, there was nothing they could do about it.
So I thought, this is must be what they are doing for all their new iPhone's. Every new one I see, it's tinted yellow. Although when I was in the Apple store and compared it to one of the new iPad2's displays, the iPad had a blue tinted screen.
The mystery over the yellow screen continues!

New to all this, purchesed a new iphone 4 as part of a contract to optus phones in Australia just 2 months ago, I have dropped it and cracked front screen, don't think this is a warrenty coverage so what can I do now? Confused as to wether I can buy just a new front glass screen or need to buy the digitizer as well? Looking for cheepest option as the phone only costs me $8 a month for two years.

Unless it the same repair process as the US, they will replace the whole phone itself at a cost.

Cracked lcd screen options and third party information

Before I get flamed, let me just say that up until now, I have been happy with my ipod, bought the extended warranty last year and two of my sons have ipod minis. However, now I am beginning to feel "screwed". My ipod photo now has a cracked lcd screen after being plugged into the wall for recharging. I have treated it well, have a soft cover on it, but no screen protector since it would fall out for me to be able to use the fm transmittor.
So after reading all the "stuff" on these boards and the internet, I am stuck. Since I have had to replace my ibook and updated a new hard drive, a new ipod will bring me over the limit of Itune transfers.
I will be calling apple support, but would like to know if anyone here has used any of the companies out there to replace the lcd screens?

Apple don't sell just a front screen. You can get an out-of-warranty phone complete from Apple for (in the US) $149. Going anywhere else loses any warranty you might have, and the aforementioned deal which is available any time so long as nobody has fiddled about inside the phone.

Apple does not replace screens... they may replace the back glass on the 4/4S and they will replace the battery, but that is it.
Apple will provide an Out of Warranty replacement for the appropriate price based on model, for the 4S it is $199.

I think to get the best price towards an iPhone 6 you have to have the appraisal submitted and new phone ordered by tomorrow (9/30/14) You buy the new phone on contract price then they email you a Verizon gift card after they receive your phone and make the final decisions on how much to give you. Have you synced this phone, with iTunes, while the passcode was enabled? If so, plug it in, iTunes running, & hit the Restore button on the Summary Pane. This will also erase the phone.
However, if you have not synced, while the passcode was enabled, you will not be able to do this without first enereting the passcode. If that's the case, try recovery mode:

FYI, if the phone was not originally sold in India, it can not be serviced in India. You will have to take it back to the country where it originated.

Why has my iPad mini screen cracked?

This week I put my iPad mini in the same place I usually do before I go to bed, I plugged it in and left it to charge over night. I came back in the morning to a cracked screen, it is still in perfect working order, just cracked. The cracking looks like it originates from just below the central on button where the charging socket is, it has circular cracks around the button then six or seven cracks fanning out from it. I'm upset and a little confused as to how this happened and what I do now.

Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. If you can convince them the iPad hasn't been dropped or abused, you'll get a replacement.

Apple does not repair devices, they replace them.
For $199 Out of Warranty you can get the device replaced.
Or you can find a local repair shop to replace the screen, likely cheaper... Warranty does not cover user damage, which is what caused the screen to crack. The warranty will definitely be void if you get it repaired anywhere other than Apple.
