My iPhone5 breaks up and crackles when I am talking for a while. This happens whether I am mobile or stationary. Anyone have any ideas on this?

AAfter I talk on my iPhone5 for a while it starts to crackle and breakup. This happens whether I am stationary or mobile. I do not hear the noise, but the people I am talking to eventually lose me. I am using iOS 8.1.3. Anyone with this problem or suggestions?

Two possible courses of action suggest themselves:
(1) Return your computer immediately to point of purchase and/or authorized service provider.
or
(2) Consult with your doctor about your neurological symptoms.
