  • When trying to restore my iphone 3 i get error 1015, please help?

    Hi,
When trying to restore my iphone I got an error 1015 and it says the iphone cannot be restored. What should I do next?

This Error is often received when the iPhone has the iPad baseband installed. So iTunes sees a higher number in your iPhone and gives downgrade Error 1015, because iPad baseband is numerically higher than iPhone 3G baseband. You will have to search the Web for the complete fix which in now available.

  • HT201210 i cannot get my phone out of recovery mode, when I tried to restore on itune it gives me error 1608. please help me

i cannot get my phone out of recovery mode, when I tried to restore on itune it gives me error 1608. please help me

While YOU may not have attempted to jailbreak the phone, SOMEONE ELSE did.  Error 1015 occurs by attempting to restore a previously jailbroken phone.
It's very likely you may NEVER get your phone out of recovery mode and your phone may be rendered permanently bricked.
Terms of Use of this forum prohibit the discussion of jailbroken phones.  You'll have to scour the internet for a solution to your problem, if indeed one exists.

  • I am not able to restore my iphone 3g. getting error 1015. please help

Hi,I have forgot my iPhone 3G password. Trying to restore with itunes. but got error 1015. cannot resotre. Kindly help.

    Hello Jeetendray,
For error 1015, that deals with a few different factors like having a beta version of iOS, downgrading, and potentially jailbreaking your iPhone. I would recommend trying the restore on another computer or just a different user to download a fresh copy of iOS for your iPhone.

  • My ipad mini says to connect to itunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back

My iPad mini says to connect to iTunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back, i just want my iPad restored to its starting settings.

If everything else that you try fails, I would try using another computer. Since you don't care about saving any data, any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes might be able to restore the iPad. You could make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar and they can do it for you.
If that isn't feasible for you, try using a different cable, a different USB port. reboot the computer, and reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then try again.
