My iphone5 is disabled and itunes wont recognize it

My son has an iPhone5. It has the latest ios system. My iTunes has the latest update. I bought a new cable cord, still my iTunes won't connect to my iPhone. My iPhone says it is disabled.
I've rebooted both system; mac and iphone. bought new cords, now what?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Put iPhone into Recovery Mode. Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

See if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make the iPod visible in iTunes.  If it does then restore the iPod via iTunes on your computer.  For recovery mode see:

yeah, I'm going to throw my phone at the neighours place in a minute, and hope it spontaniously combusts in the air, bounces off the cement wall, lands on the road and gets run over...
so my rant is over, here is what its doing...
it was working just fine all up untill now, i was playing music and everything then all of a sudden my phone freezes, reboots and now shows the picture describing that it wants me to connect to itunes.

anyone have any ideas? I neeeeeed my phone!!
    thanks in advance!

Quick google search on the issue you are having looks like its an issue with your computer.
I would contact Microsoft of your computer manufacturer before you "unload on apple's head".
A quick microsoft search found the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/109787
Fix your computer before you "unload on Apple's head".
I would focus your efforts on SQL Server which may be installed on your system.

  • I have transfered all my music onto an external hard drive from my old computer and itunes wont recognize the songs in my library...help!!

    **** YOU ITUNNES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,
I did the same XP to Windows 7 upgrade about 18 months ago.   I decided to keep iTunes permanently on the external drive than the c drive to save c: drive space.
ITunes database has pointers to MP3 files located in Artist's directories.  If you want to use a different location than the default C:\ drive for iTunes, then you need to recreate the Itunes database by deleting all songs in iTunes, then change the default location for iTunes files to your external drive.  Then import the MP3 files from the external drive into the empty iTunes database through the iTunes import facility.
If you screw up the timing of the import and find you have multiple iTunes directories (instead of just the default location), then iTunes has a new feature to consolidate all iTunes MP3 files back into the central default location.  In iTunes, FILE, LIBRARY, ORGANIZE LIBRARY, then CONSOLIDATE FILES.
To change the default directory for MP3 files, in Tunes go to EDIT, PREFERENCES, ADVANCED and then CHANGE the location to where you want the Itunes MP3 files to be located (including the iTunes subdirectory under which all the artist directories are held.  Mine are on the F: drive or whatever your computer states is your drive assignment for the external drive.
Note iTunes 10.5 has many problems that Apple hopefully are working on....we seem to have gone backwards on working components in this iCloud based release.  So maybe keep on using old computer until 10.6 is released.
    Enjoy

  • Just got an iphone4 and itunes wont recognize it.thr registration page is blank except where you fill in answers. and it already wants me to update a new version but says network timed out. help

just got an iphone 4 and the registration page is blank. it also says there is a new version available but says network keeps taking time out

Hi Jen.  My daughter just compleated her nursing program and is now working as a full time nurse.  Focus and study hard and soon you will be there too.  Now to the problem at hand.  I have the same problem.  I gave up on it and satisfied myself with my iPod without the upgrade.  Reason being I've read so many posts of people having problems after the upgrade.  But I'm sure other factors are involved.  Nevertheless here is the fix most say works to solve the problem:  What ever virus protection you have installed on your computer, disable it.  Then try to install the update. After that enable the protection. I had Kaspersky, and it does it's job well. The thinking is, the virus protection is blocking the upgrade.  Hope this works.   Charlie

  • Phone continuously restarts and iTunes wont recognize it in DFU mode.

Basically, I went into settings, went to Updates and saw there was a new update, I click on it and my phone turned off, then on, then off, then on over and over and never stopping, I updated iTunes and plugged my phone in, I then managed to put it into DFU mode, but I still cant see my device in iTunes. I've tried different cables, different USB ports, still nothing. Any help is appretiated.
