I plan on buying a new I Pad wit wifi and cell from Apple. But I don't want to select a cell carrier right now. Q 1: Do I have to select a carrier at purchase? and Q 2, In the meantime will I be able to get on line at home using my Cox Internet wi fi? Thanks.
Thanks for the help. Now I can feel comfortable in not having to sign up for cellular when I buy, esp. Since I'll be using my new IPad mostly at home on my Cox wi fi. Then I can see, in using the i pad, how often I'd actually use the cellular, and where. This can help decide which type of cell plan I get. Small problem it may seem, but a very helpful answer. If you are having issues with recharging your iPhone's battery, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

In particular, this section -
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge until your device turns on. This could take between 10 and 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue persists, please contact Apple Support.

I purchased Lightroom from B&H Photo a few months ago. I did not instal the software, because I was purchasing a new computer in the near future. I am now purchasing that computer, but cannot find the software. B&H suggested that I contact you directly to help me. I have the receipt, and you can look to see that the program was never used. The receipt is only of use to B&H. Adobe will have no record of it.
If you quote an Adobe Lightroom serial number then Adobe can confirm if that serial number has ever been registered. That step should not be required at this stage though. Just install the software. -

If you are running v10..7 Lion, install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)
For 10.6 Snow Leopard > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
Then restart your Mac. Try the App Store.
If that doesn't help, try the following..
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go
Move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try downloading Mountain Lion.
You may also need to disable anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security (or Security & Privacy) > Firewall -

i downloaded a song and it shows the time length all to be correct but while playing the song will only play for about 30 seconds then skip to the next song in my list (all lists) - in short i payed for a song that is only of a preview quality

I downloaded an album from i Tunes but one of the songs will only play first 4 minutes of 26 minutes and then stop. It is the last song on the album. All other songs will play. The Album is U.F.O. 2 One Hour of Space Rock.
Jim, wanted to let you know it worked. I deleted the entire album since it was an album only (26 minutes long) song, then I went to the home icon of iTunes store, clicked on purchased and saw previous purchases and bam, I downloaded the album again and it now works!!! Thanks..

Hi, I'm using a white iPhone 4s with 16gb memory and having some problems. Whenever I use earphones the sound will be heated when the volume is at the highest if I turn it down any lower all I hear is static. Can anyone help me with this problem as I would appreciate it much.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
