My iphone5 warranty will be expired within few days. Can I extend it?

I got a new Iphone5 this week, because my old one's sleeping button was broken and battery problem. I was told my warranty will be expired in a week, so I wanna ask can I extend my warranty? How much will it be?

When you get a warranty exchange from Apple, the warranty on that unit is either 90 days or the remainder of the faulty iPhone's warranty ,which ever is longer

If you have the CC, you may try to restart the Creative Cloud application by quitting and relaunching it.

If you're seeing unexpected behavior when using USB devices, try resetting the SMC on your MacBook Pro:
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own
Note: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

Go to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. the connecto to iTunes and restore as a New phone. Do not restore any backup. If the problem persists you have a hardware problem. Take it to Apple for exchange.
This assumes that the phone is not hacked or jailbroken. If it is you will have to go elsewhere on the internet for help.

I wish to get AppleCare Protection Plan and my Warranty expired a few days ago.

I got my iPod touch on 12th november 2011 as a prize in a Quiz Competetion. A few days ago I called apple customer support and they say my warranty is expired... According to them, the warranty started in February 2011 and has expired. I wish to get AppleCare Protection Plan and a customer support executive told me over the phone that I would get it but I got no follow up call. My Apple Support /case number is 292089289
I have got a dead pixel on my iPod and I wish to get it replaced. I hope something can be done.

Check your warranty here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do . If it truly as expired, there is nothing you can do ablut it. You ca no longer extend the warranty. Otherwise people would wait to see if their iPod needed service beforing buying the coverage.

Toshiba WT310 in hibernation mode: battery discharges within few days

As the title says if fully charged and left in hibernation mode the battery discharges within a few days.
I thought it might have been due to "connected mode" but it isn't supported anyway.
Any ideas?

Well unsurprisingly not as easy as that after all.
I rang the number gave them the ID# for my support call, let him read through, explained again what I'd done to try and resolve. Asked him what we do next.
"I'll just go and ask my colleague"
So according to his colleague losing 10% power overnight when switched off is apparently as expected for a laptop/tablet.
I begged to differ and pointed out that according to the manual the battery should last 70 days when the Tablet is shutdown. Bit of a difference between 10 weeks and just over 1 week I said.
We then had to find that page in the manual to make sure I wasn't lying, I wasn't.
Still didn't mean there was a problem apparently, so I send it back and it's NFF I get charged 60+
So I said OK you send in writing that the manual is inaccurate and amend the manual and I'll accept that.
Can't do that...
Well then what next?
Escalated to the next level of support! Though I did have to assure them I was switching it off and not putting it into sleep by accident (the flashing light is the give away there) and that whilst I was waiting I would test it using "shutdown /p".

him "no /p!" didn't bother explaining it worked either way.
By the way I manage an IT Support Dept we do Hardware, Software and Network support, 10% power drain in 24 hours when shut down for a Laptop is not an expected thing. Not unless the battery is stuffed rather than FAIR as mine apparently is.

I didn't apply for the up-to-date programme within 30 days can I still get Pages, Numbers and Keynote for free?

I was told I would be able to download Pages, Numbers and Keynote for free with my new Macbook Pro however I got it as a Christmas present and as it was bought on the 8th of November I missed applying for the up-to date-programme within 30 days. I was wondering if there was any chance of talking to apple and downloading the apps anyway, and who exactly i would need to contact.

Solved the problem- I contacted apple on their support line found on this page... http://www.apple.com/uk/support/mac/ and they were really helpful and talked me through what to do on the phone, I now have all three productivity apps. Hope this helps

I have purchased a MacBook Pro with Retina display, but it will not arrive within 30 days of my purchase. Does this mean I will not be able to update the software to Mountain Lion?

As already stated, I have recently purchased a MacBook Pro with Retina display. It will arrive in 4-5 weeks so I don't assume it will arrive in less than 30 days. I would like to know wheather I will still be entitled to a free softwere update to the Mountain Lion. The laptop will ofcourse be completely new and recently purchased, so it would be very disappointing if I am not entitled to this update. Please let me know if you know anything about this or have any assuptions. Thank you

You can call apple if you need reassurance, but they will not turn you down on the free upgrade just because you have not received your computer by day 30.

Cisco WCS guest user expires after few days

1) Hardware we are using:
WCS version 6.0.196.
WLC version 6.0
2) Configuration steps we carried out:
We have created guest user using Lobby admin account having for accessing WLC which we are having in network. it works fine for some days but after that we have observed the particular guest user account status showing expired on WCS. Wanted to mention we have used Unlimited tab for life time while creating guest user account. The Account life time for guest user at the point of configuration was showing ( status -- Active, Account Lifetime -- Never Expire)

After some days(we are not sure about how many days) the guest users account shows "Expired"

During the point of problem from WCS logs I observed the "Guestuser Service" is giving problem, below is the error. The detailed log is attached herewith.

Symptom:
WCS deletes the Guest User Template when trying to de-provision it from a controller. Instead of deleting the guest user from the selected controllers, the user is removed from all controllers and the template deleted from WCS.
Conditions:

Trial expired a few days ago. My RAM is showing up today. Trial again?

As my subject indicates, I have RAM showing up in the mail today. I currently have 2GB of RAM and will be upgrading to the max 4GB today sometime. I never got to use Aperture with the increased RAM. If I uninstall and reinstall the trial, will it work or will it give me grief??? Or is there another route to go to be able to get another trial other than buying another Mac with a different ID tag???

The person I talked with at Apple said that you could get another trial if you completely gutted your computer, reinstalled all your data and then downloaded another trial. I think by that time, I'd rather just buy the program or another Mac!!!!

You get two activations with your perpetual license and also with your Creative Cloud subscription. Creative Cloud version is currently CS6 so you cannot activate twice on the same computer - with both perpetual license and subscription.

Boot Hard Drive fills up in a few days - can't find any data

This is weird. OS X server 10.4.11 on a G5 Mac has been running fine as a file server for ages.
It has 3 drives. The boot disk is 120Gb.
The other 2 are 250Gb each.
The boot disk as nothing on it and is not shared but it was completely full. I couldn't find any large files on it or anything that would be filling it up. The sum of the folder sizes add up to less than 20Gb.
So I formatted completely and reinstalled everything. Within a week it was full again.
It seams to be filling up with hidden files.
What is going on ?

OK, when I show hidden files. I have found that the following files are growing right before my eyes...
System.log
mail.log
asl.log
log.smbd
Can I turn off logging. Any ideas ?
