My iphone5 will not receive my outlook email

I recently upgraded to iphone5, OS 6.1.4 and my phone stopped receiving my outlook email. I can sent from my company email, but I can't receive. I am with ATT; and my passwords are correct; I have tried deleting, reinstalling, changing push to fetch and back again. I am thinking of going back to my 4S. Any suggestions out there?

Hi there,

I'm sorry you're having that issue. Sometimes, it can be as easy as a single setting. You may be able to find your solution on a prior forum discussion here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4342867?start=0&tstart=0.

  • My mail account is set up correctly but will not receive or send email?

My outlook email account works fine and it has automatically synchronised the set up / account information to my iphone 4s via itunes when syncing. However I cannot receive or send emails! Anyone know of the reason for this?

Do not attempt to sync email accounts. Security features hardly ever allow this to work without any edditing. Contact your email provider to find out the settings and servers they are using for mobile devices and then remove the existing account from settings, mail contacts calendars and create a new acccount there. After the setup is finished check all the settings of the crated acccount to ensure all sections are populated with information. Especialöly it might be neccessary to fill some fields in the smtp primary ßerver settings that are rated as optional.

  • The new "Photos" will not link to Outlook email.

Just updated to OS X 10.10.3.
The new Photos app will not link to Microsoft Outlook.
Never had this problem with previous versions of iPhoto.
    Please help!

    Some additional info...
While looking back through past messages to Apple Support Communities, I found the same problem in 2012 with iPhoto version 9.4.1.
    It wouldn't recognize Outlook.
When version 9.4.2 was released, the problem was solved.
Attention Apple! It's time to update Photos 1.0 please!!
As that was prior to the system-level sharing plugins, I wouldn't expect an update to Photos would add the functionality. I believe Apple expect app developers to provide the plug-ins. As Microsoft is the only company that knows how it's email client should handle an image "shared" to it, they would have to write the sharing plug-in.

  • Will not receive incoming AOL email

When I attempt to "get" email, a prompt comes up saying
    "time out reading body"
    Post relates to: Palm TX

Hey... This is probably due to the fact that during the holiday season, mail networks are extremely busy and are taking a bit longer to give you the information you are asking for. Chances are, this problem will correct itself once we are into January and internet mail traffic on AOL dies down. If it continues to be a problem, you can change the amount of time versa mail takes to time out. Its defaulted to 45 seconds (which is quite a bit of time to wait for an email message actually). But, if you want to change it, its in versa mail Options/Preferences/Advanced Connections. Its the timeout value...

  • New iPhone 5 not receiving (some) iCloud email

    Hi all,
I know there have been other related issues with iCloud mail, but mine is very specific.  I have a brand new iPhone 5 (my very first iPhone!).  I'm having problems with the phone receiving any iCloud based emails when sent from other than my own Macbook Pro or the iPhone itself.  Here's the specifics:
My iPhone5 will not receive any iCloud based e-mails coming from any computer or phone EXCEPT my Macbook Pro and the iPhone5 itself.
I can send e-mails to my 3 iCloud related e-mail accounts from my Macbook Pro, and the iPhone will receive these e-mails.  The Macbook Pro computer itself also receives these e-mails.  Also, e-mails sent FROM the iPhone5 using those addresses are received by the iPhone5 itself AND the Macbook Pro.
If e-mails to any of these 3 e-mail addresses are sent, apparently, from ANY OTHER computer or phone (i.e. a computer or phone other than my Macbook Pro or my iPhone5), the iPhone5 just doesn’t get those e-mails.  E-mails sent to the above 3 addresses from other computers/phones ARE received by the Macbook Pro.
Oops, I have an update.  I appear to now be getting emails to the .mac account (which is one of the iCloud emails), but those are coming from outside locally. The emails that my wife sends to me from her phone (not an iPhone, but we are both on Verizon) don't show up on my iPhone.  Neither are emails from my son, who also has an iPhone on Verizon showing up on my phone.  It was beginning to sound like a possible Verizon problem, except that my wife's computer has nothing to do with Verizon...we are connected to the Internet by Cox Communications.  This is getting more bizarre all the time!
Can anyone help me?  I have an appointment at the Genius Bar this coming weekend, but I'd like to fix this before then...

Hi there.  When I send emails form my Macbook, yes, all the emails are in my Sent folder.  I asked my wife to send me an email from her phone again this afternoon, and again, it dod not show up on my iPhone.  I logged into my iCloud account, and in this case, the emial she sent just happedn to end up in the JUnk folder on the iCloud.  I think this was just a freak, though, as she was using nonsense in the subject line, just to send me something, so the iCloud thought it was junk.  However, when I moved the mail to the inbox on iCloud, the mail showed up on my Macbook, but still did not show up on the my iPhone.  So, problem still exists.
As far as removing nad adding account, I triued that several times yesterday with Apple support on the phone.  No benefit to this, unfortunately.

  • Mail Will Not Receive After 10.6.2 Update

I just updated to 10.6.2 and now my mail program will not receive any incoming emails. I seem to be able to send however. I'm sorry for another one of these "me too" postings about the mail program not working post update but I'm hoping Apple will see the number of postings regarding this issue and correct the problem.

Ever since I updated to 10.6.2, I have had intermittent problems with sending, forwarding, and replying to emails from both my yahoo and mobileme accounts. I hit send and get the rotating rainbow and end up having to force quit. And now today, it's not downloading any mobileme messages. They are showing up on my iphone but not the iMac.

  • After accepting the carrier update yesterday my iPhone 5s will not receive emails via my work Exchange system.

After accepting the carrier update yesterday my iPhone 5s will not receive emails via my work Exchange system.  I can send emails, but can not receive.  I deleted my account and added it back with the directed provided by our Corporate IT, but I still can't receive emails.  I've hard booted and soft booted my phone several times to no avail.  What else can I do to help remedy this situation?

I don't have any other email accounts on my phone and I don't get any type of error message.  It just says "Checking for Mail" and I receive nothing, so I know that it is accessing my work email system.  I haven't made any changes to my account.  I only accepted the message to update my carrier system.....I do have an appointment with the local Verizon store to see if they can help.
Just FYI, my Exchange email account still works on my iPad, so I'm pretty sure the settings are correct.

  • Iphone will not receive emails

I recently changed my password on both my yahoo account and itunes account.  i have an ipad and an iphone.   My ipad is receiving emails under my old password, and my iphone will not receive emails under the new or old password.  when I try to enter password for email under setting on iphone, it gives me the message that the yahoo server is unavailable.  again, my ipad has no problems receiving emails nor does my wife on her iphone.

I'm sorry your having issues with text messaging Vickymiller1. I know this ie upsetting but I can help. First, try removing all long and old text/pic messaging threads you no longer need. • I'm not receiving the AppleId email when I hit Forgot my password, how do I fix this?

I can’t recall my password for a different iTunes Id and I’ve went to AppleId.apple.com, pressed the ‘forgot your password’ button, it brought me to a new page with my email, I’ve made sure that I was my email, I hit Email authentication, and then it brings me to a page that says: “ Email has been sent”, but I’m not receiving any email in my Gmail account. I’ve made sure that I have no filters for Apple or iTunes and checked my Spam, and Trash folders and I see nothing.

    Hi CoalBeans,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  The resource below explains what to do if you do not receive the verification email for your Apple ID.
If you didn't receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201455
When you make certain updates to your Apple ID, we’ll send you an email to help you complete the update. For example, you might have reset your password, reset your security questions, or added a new email address to your account. If you can't find the email after we send it, these steps can help.
    Search for the email
We'll send the email from "Apple," so you can quickly search for it. If it isn't in your inbox, check your folders. If a spam filter or email rule moved the email, it might be in the Spam, Junk, Trash, Deleted Items, or Archive folder.
Make sure you're checking the correct email account
If you're looking for a password reset email, make sure you're checking the correct email inbox. It will either be your primary Apple ID email address or a separate rescue email address that you added to your account.
If you're looking for a verification email, you can sign in to My Apple ID and review all the email addresses you have on file, including the one that you're trying to verify. If the email address is incorrect, you can update it and send another verification email.
    Resend the email
To resend a reset email, repeat the steps to reset your password or security questions, and we'll send an email to your rescue or primary Apple ID email address.
To resend the verification email, go to My Apple ID, select Manage your Apple ID, then sign in. Click Resend next to the email address that you want to verify, and we'll send an email to that address.
Make sure that you're getting email
If you're not getting any email, you might need to contact your email service provider for help. You can also use these steps to get help receiving email at OS X Mail or an iCloud email address.
    Contact us
Go to System Status and see if Apple ID is available. If you still can't find the reset email or verification email, contact Apple Support.

  • Acrobat Connect Pro 7.5 will not open MS Outlook 2010

I have recently updated my OS to Windows 7. Acrobat Connect Pro 7.5 will not open MS Outlook 2010 with the preformatted email message after submitting via the Email Invitations button. MS Internet Explorer 8.0 goes to a blank page. Is there a compatibility issue with Acrobat Connect Pro 7.5, MS Outlook 2010, and/or Windows 7?

its been running for months, with no problem what so ever
You were running a non-Intel version on an Intel Mac. You might not have run into problems before but it was only a matter of time. You cannot run an old version and then install brand new versions of ProKit and QuickTime - it will just break.
So you can either reinstall everything from scratch and then just keep it as it is without ever installing software updates, or you can upgrade to FCP 7. I recommend the latter.
