Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer
iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download
Then... See Here  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
You may need to try this More than Once...  Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
If the issue persists... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step... Be sure to make an appointment first...

  • My Iphone5 wont connect to my Itunes on my Macbook Pro

I got a new iphone5. I plugged in the wire to my USB port on my mac and my iphone was plugged into, and nothing happened. Nothing was found in my finder.
I thought maybe it was a faulty wire, so i tried charging it up use the plug and that worked. so thought it maybe my USB ports, so i plugged my old iphone in, and it charged and was found in itunes. I dont undestand why it cant be found? HELP PLEASE!

If you have restarted your device several times, the cable is known to be good (since it will charge with a wall charger), the USB port is known to be good (since it will connect to and charge other iPhones), I don't really know what to say. If you have AppleCare (or are within the first 90 days of purchasing your iPhone 5), you can call AppleCare Support ((800-694-7466)) or stop by an Apple Store with a reservation at the Genius Bar and they'll get it checked out for free.

  • My iPad and iPhone wont connect to my iTunes Library.

My iPad Air and iPhone 5s wont connect to my iTunes Library on my Macbook Pro.
Both will see the library and try to connect but as it reaches 1/4 of the way it stops.
If I turn off my iTunes Match on both devices, the full library loads on the iPhone only. I can go into the library and it will play. Does iTunes Match have to be turned off?
On the iPad, it shows the that shared library is connected to but it wont allow me to move off that screen. It freezes. I push the home button and it closes. I can reopen but it is no longer connected to the library. I cannot get further than this.
My Apple TV works perfectly connected to the same library.
I dont have more than 5000 songs in my library or more than 10 movies and 300 + episodes  of TV series.
Any ideas to what could be causing the issue with the iPad?

Forgot to mention. Have tried obvious things like rbooting Mac and iPhone and iPad with no success

There is no such thing as an "SG3" or "SG4".  Did you possibly mean a 3GS and iPhone4?
It has always been very basic to ensure that a backup exists of your media and other important files.  Computers fail, hard drives crashes... things happen.  Do you not have a backup?  The iPhone, like all iDevices is NOT a backup of your media, but rather a mirror of the content in the iTunes library on your computer.
If your contacts, pics, etc are not on your computer, no backups of the iPhone exist, and they are not on the phone, they are gone.
No one can magically make them re-appear.

  • I have an 08 apple desktop and my ipad mini wont connect with my itunes and i cant find updates to fix this what do i do?

i have an 08 apple desktop and my ipad mini wont connect with my itunes and i cant find updates to fix this what do i do?

From Apple's website and printed on the box the mini came in:
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
    Download iTunes at www.itunes.com/download
You will have to update to at least OS X 10.6.8 or later, otherwise known as snow leopard.

My iPod wont connect to the iTunes Store when I am about to get an app when I go to enter my password it says it can't connect to iTunes Store. What do I do?

Don't worry a lot of people, including me, are having this problem.  I think it's a problem going on at Apple's end, hopefully it will be up soon.

  • My phone wont connect to my itunes after i tried to restore it and it failed. what should i do?

Ive been up all night trying to fix my phone. i recently tried to restore my phone so i could start it out fresh. i left for a minute while it was restoring and came back to have a message on my laptop saying it failed to restore. My iphone now wont connect to itunes nor my computer since it doesn't show up under "computer". i have already reinstalled itunes, shut off my phone and laptop, and manually tried to reset phone by holding home button and lock screen button. i really need some assitance quick, and their support guides confuse me and misleads me a lot. Help greatly appreciate

    Try this:
    1. Close iTunes.
    2. Connect your iPhone to your computer and then launch iTunes.
    3. Turn your iPhone off (hold down the power button at the top of the iPhone).
    4. Then, hold down the sleep/wake button and home button together for EXACTLY 10 SECONDS, then release the sleep/wake button.
    5. Continue to hold down the Home button until a message appears in iTunes telling you an iPhone in recover mode has been detected. When you are in DFU mode your iPhone screen will be completely black. Remember that if you see the restore logo, iTunes logo, or any message on the iPhone screen, you are not in DFU mode but standard Recovery Mode.
    6. Hit the OK message that should popup to restore your phone. Restore as "New".

  • My iPod wont connect to my iTunes or Computer.

-I have a 160gb iPod Classic, and since I updated to iTunes 11.1 it wont connect to my computer or itunes but it still makes the noise when I plug in the usb. When I plug it in on my laptop (which is runnnig and older version of itunes) it connects just fine...Answers?
-For a little while it was comming up on the computer saying "a problem has been found with your device" but i did a scan and it found nothing wrong.

I have the same (or similar problem). I have an iPod Classic 160GB that locks up iTunes in Windows 8.1 when trying to sync, but connects just fine on another Windows 7 computer. I even wiped and restored the iPod to factory conditions (multiple times) and I get the same results. I can't use the Windows 8.1 computer to do anything with this particular iPod. Other iPods connect just fine and the one in question connects to any other computer I have tried. Apparently, iTunes is not really compatible with Windows 8.1. I have tried all the "solutions" I could find here for the last week. This resulted in days of lost time with no results.

  • Ipod wont connect to comp/itunes

my ipod wont connect to my comp/ charge via usb
we have two different usb's so im pretty sure they arent the problem (they work with the wall charger but not the computer)
im not very computer smart so dont expect much knowledge on my part : )
we've connected with the comp before, but it just stopped connecting

Back up first (Time machine) as much as possible.
    Un-install and re install Itunes.
First and foremost download the updated iTunes from apple website. After downloading Uninstall itunes and all its component ( Dont worry, itunes library where your movies and music is located will not be deleted. Please follow instructions on the apple support page). The problem might be the AppleMobileDevice.kext
Heres the instructions on how to un install iTunes

  • The itunes store on my i-pod wont connect to the itunes store why?

I try to add an app on my ipod and when I type in the username and password it wont let me connect to the itunes store on MY IPOD.

It sounds like you are connected to the iTunes store but the wrong Itunes ID comes up and you can't change it.  The change the iTunes ID the iPod is signed into go to Settings>Store and then sign out of the existing account and sign into the one you want.
If you are having another problem please describe better what you are doing/trying to do.

As previously said I have an iPhone 4 which works fine when connecting and downloading the site using the WIFI router.
That's critical info.  There is a router configuration that will allow regular computers to communicate but will block IOS (iPad/iPod/iPhone) communication.  Good thing that I did not send you down that route.
Well, start witht the easy stuff.  Power down the router, wait ten seconds and power it back up again.
If no good, go to the iPod Settings/WiFi and touch the ">" sign to the right of the router name.  Touch "Forget this Network" and configure your WiFi from the beginning.
