My iPhone5s couldn't activate after i'd erased all my settings
I got my iPhone5s 2months ago. This was happened last 2wks, i've found out that my phone wasn't able to received incoming text and call and i look for my Network which is (AT&T) it says "Searching.." so i've told this issue to my sister and we called technical support for at&t that my network is fine etc. So what he did is troubleshoot my phone while my phone is off and when i turn it on it started to connect to my network again. So last friday, when i woke up my phone couldn't connect to my Network again so i've told this issue again with my sister and try to fixed it again this issue, she tried to reset my network and troubleshoot it again nothing happened so she asked me to pull it out my sim card so we did what she'd told me and still my phone couldn't connect to my Network. So she suggest that we should go to at&t store and change my sim card, then we went to at&t store to get my new sim card. And nothing happened my phone still couldn't connect to my phone, the sales rep told us to go to apple store and change my phone cos they've had the same problem before about my issues.So here's my problem i reset my network settings still nothing happened, and tried to erase all my settings after i've done that my phone says that "Your iphone couldn't be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes."
Hi, try to put your iPhone into recovery mode and do the restore again. Here are the steps:
After then, connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes. Click Recovery iPhone and then follow the prompts it tells you to do.

1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

Hi there, Im not able to reactivate my Ipad2 w 7iOS after I backed all on icloud&erased all content&settings.It showed its linked to my apple id (showing the first letters of my apple id/email address) when I wanted to set it up. When I tried to log in - nothin worked, neither apple id or my psw. I checked the activation help on website and I looked up alsoon my icloud account and checked whether I dont have it in my all devices - but nothing.I also tried my cousin email and apple id who was the previous owner and that didnt work either. I finally got the solution from a friend at the TSR forum. It was a problem with QUicktime 7.2. I needed to install this update:

Something has gone wrong, as this should have happened almost instantaneously. Turn your phone off, then force it into recovery mode:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -
After erasing all data & settings, cannot connect to wi-fi
To try to make a long story, short, I was having trouble connecting to my home network with my iPod. It was previously owned, so I figured since I'd be losing everything with the first sync, I decided to perform a full erase of data and settings. After some initial trouble with error messages, when I first tried to connect to iTunes, the iPod is finally working...but I still cannot connect to my home network. I even went as far as to open my router control panel and reset the password, then set up a new connection on the iPod, even though my home network is showing in the list, wi-fi is turned on and ask to join is turned on. By default, my router security is set to WPA2, but even after I turned security off, it still won't let me join. I have other devices connected, and working fine, even after the password change. I'm truly stumped, here....
Did you make sure your router/modem are set up and configured with the settings specified in the second article I linked above.
Have you tried shortening the password/key to the network?
After you turned of all the encryption settings, did you reset the network settings again then try to reconnect?
It would really help to try and connect this device to another working Wi-Fi network to help determine if it's an iPod issue or a router/modem issue.
Is the router/modem using the 2.4 or 5 GHz band? Or both?
What is the brand and model of your router/modem?

i have just erased all contacts and settings as i have just brought my iphone from a friend so did not need to backup anything on my computer. it then went blank and then turned on by it self with a picture of the iphone USB with a arrow point to a itunes symbol, and at the bottom it says slide for emergency. so can not get on to my phone at all.. Help please
You need to connect it to iTunes and reactivate it.

Where did you get the phone? If it was previously locked to a carrier and was hacked/jailbroken to use it on a different carrier, updating the phone has re-locked it to the original carrier. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize and unlock.

Can't activate after latest iPad upgrade. Error message advises me to go to iTunes but it won't get off the error screen.
I am the original owner of an ipad and it woke it yesterday requiring me to activate it using the original apple id used to set it up.
It will not accept my apple id and password.
It does not show up in my icloud under devices.
I have tried hard restart (home + power) and itunes recovery.
I am out of ideas and have not found anything for original owners (as opposed to someone who bought it from someone else). I did see some posts from last year where a few people had the same problem and took it back to apple and got a refurbished unit given to them since customer service and engineering couldn't fix it. I was wondering if this was related to the recent ios8 upgrade. Anybody else have ideas or same problem before I hike down to the apple store for mercy? -

The message you got is often the message that appears when a phone ahs been jailbroken and an attempt is made to upgrade. Are there any unusual files on you phone or strange apps? You have not said how you got iOS 6.1.2 rather than the latest iOS 6.1.3
