My iphone6 started to flicker then went black, its on i just cant see it

I was just on youtube, when the screen on my ihpone 6 (128GB) started to flicker then white thin lines appeared all over the screen (vertically) and then the screen went black. It's still on but I cant see the screen as its black and doesn't show anything.
No I haven't spilt water on it or any other liquid.
No I haven't dropped it, nor is the screen cracked, scratched or damaged in any way im very careful with my stuff.
I just need an answer, or at least an idea to what has happened, thank you.

Dont know what happened but I would try a reset, hold thee power button and home button until you see the apple then let go.

  • IBook screen flickered then went black

    Hi.
I have a 12" white opaque iBook (running OS 10.2...it was a hand me down, 700 mhz as I recall. Model is A1005) whose screen began to flicker, then went black. It wouldn't restart. After the usual panicking, I tried to restart with Disk Warrior (which was never installed onto that computer)
Next attempt to fix was to start in safe mode. Nothing changed.
I zapped the PRAM and then the screen came back. I backed up whatever I thought I didn't already have backed up. Feeling quite happy, I treated myself to some baked goods, then I shut it down.
Next day, I got only a black screen and then had to force quit by holding the power button down.
I tried 3 times to zap the PRAM, and still have only a black sceen.
Any ideas on what to do besides using the previously happy iBook as a coaster?
    Thanks for any help!

It also sounds like it is possible that it may be having logic board problems. Enough Dual USB G3 iBooks suffered from the logic board problem that Apple began the iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program in January of 2004. Do the symptoms look familiar? After leaving it sit overnight, does squeezing the case to the left of the trackpad allow you to start up and work for a bit as long as you keep the pressure on it there? If so, you may want to consider trying the shim fix suggested by John Sawyer here in the Apple Discussions iBook G3 (Dual USB) Forum:
[Y]ou can often fix this yourself by removing the iBook's bottom housing, and placing a shim of any sort, about 1mm to 1.5mm thick, onto the raised square on the bottom shield. I use a Scotch mounting square--you can get them in hardware stores and many grocery stores. When you reinstall the bottom case, it will press against this shim, which will press against the graphics chip, and may allow the chip to come into better contact with the logic board.

MacBook Pro got multicolored horizontal lines then went black and now when start button is pressed a regularly spaced beep accompanied by the power led is all that will happen.. Nothing starts.

Take it into Apple, we can't assist you with hardware problems.

  • Screen froze when closing Safari then went black. Am I in trouble?

Have had this iMac since 2004, NEVER had any problems. Went to close window from Safari, screen froze, wouldn't turn off. Had to unplug, when I turned it back on the screen reloaded with the Apple icon then went black. Am I looking at a dead machine?

    1) You should run disk utility from your install dvd.
          a) fix the disk
          b) update your permissions.
    2) Try a safe boot.
Shutdown your machine.  Hold down the shift key.  Poweron.  Wait awhile; wait awhile while you harddrive
         is being checked.
         http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455
    3) Another way to correct filesystem problems is into single use mode.
This page will tell you how to get into single user mode.
         http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1492
Basically, you hold down the command + s key then  powering on your machine. The command key
has a little apple symbol on the lower left. It is between the alt/option key and the space bar.
    4) Run hardware diagnostics.  It's good for a sanity check.

  • My IPhone 4 started buzzing and then went dead. What do I do to fix this problem?

My IPhone 4 started buzzing and then went dead. What do I do to fix this?

    This worked, thanks!
Next question: After updating my IPhone 4 to the latest operating system, my contacts app keeps freezing. I have to turn off my phone and restart it to get it to work properly. What can I do to fix this? This also happens with some other apps like the Weather Channel too.

  • My i4 phone froze and then went black what do I do?

Can someone please help me?  I was using my phone when the screne froze then went black.  It happened after I turnd up the volume.  It vibrates and I can't even see to answer it.  This is crazy.  Please help!!!

    RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).

  • So my daughter's ipad2 wont start up or its starting up and we just cant see it??? when i hold down the home button and the power button the apple icon comes on then goes away, the only way to see the screen is when you takescreenshot?????any answers????

so my daughter's ipad2 wont start up i think its on but you cant see anything unless you take a screenshot then you can see for a split second then nothing, and when i hold down the home button and the power button it will reset then i can see apple icon for a second then nothing?????

    Thanks for that information!
I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

    Hi LifeGood,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  In iOS, FaceTime is not a separate app and FaceTime calls can be made as described here:
    iOS: Using FaceTime
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4319
How do I make a FaceTime call?
You can make a FaceTime call in multiple ways, depending on your device:
iPhone 4 or later: You can place a FaceTime call using the following apps:
Phone: While on a phone call, you can tap the FaceTime icon to invite the other party to a FaceTime call.
Contacts: Tap the FaceTime icon to place a FaceTime call to the contact you are viewing.
iPad 2 or later, iPad mini, iPod touch (4th generation) or later, and FaceTime for Mac: You can place a FaceTime call using the following apps:
FaceTime: Place a FaceTime call using your contacts list.
Contacts: Tap the FaceTime icon to place a FaceTime call to the contact you are viewing.
Note: There is no FaceTime app on iPhone. Use the Phone app instead.
    Cheers,
    - Ari

  • Why does my iPad flicker then go black?

When using my iPad all of a sudden it started flickering then the screen went black, after about 5-10 minutes I could use it again.

Depending on the model of PowerBook you have, the inverter board replacement is relatively easy.  Titanium models are straightforward; Aluminum models are quite involved.  You can find out your model's specific information by locating the serial number on the configuration label in the battery compartment or by bringing up System Profiler.  Then input the number at this site for detailed information.  You can then get full information by going to the Everymac specs page and find your model there.
If you have a Titanium model, the inverter board is usually located to the right of the optical drive.  Aluminum models are tucked in at the back of the case where the display is attached.  A light rap at the location in question will be a test for an intermittent connection of the bulb wire.

  • After shutdown I have to log in twice.  The first time it starts to load, then goes black, then gives me login page again.  Do you think I have a virus?  Or is this Yosemite bug?

Just updated to Yosemite on my MBP.  After shutdown now when I login, it starts the process (the bar starts to move), then the screen goes black, then it asks me to login again and this time it is a successful startup.  Is this a Yosemite bug or do I have a virus?  I also have some funny tiling on the screen at youtube and some other websites.  Another bug?

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • My iMac screen went pixilated then went black

    Hey!
So earlier tonight my 27" iMac (2009) went pixilated (green, yellow, blue, white small pixels) then the screen went black, but the computer was still running. I shut it down and turned it back on and I didn't have a problem until recently. After clicking play on a video on Facebook, the pixels returned and the screen went black again. I then proceeded to shut the computer down, but when I turned it back on, this is what I saw (refer to picture, sorry it's upsidedown)
The lines eventually disappeared along with the Apple logo, but the screen remained white for at least five minutes. I restarted my mac again, but the lines returned and the screen stayed white. That was around ten minutes ago and the screen is still white. What's wrong here?
Also, I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion about two months or so ago from Snow Leopard (either 10.8 or 10.8.1) if that's important at all.

Exact same thing has just happened to me! I believe I clicked on a facebook video as well; same pinkish strips and same white screen. My life and business is in this computer!

  • HT2674 made a phone call this morning and my phone vibrated then went black like it turnt off now cant turn it on. what is wrong with my Iphone 4S

my iphone 4S went black this morning after making a phone call and the phone will not turn on. what is wrong with my phone?

I switched the usb port and did the whole recovery holding of the buttons ect... And it worked, the computer detected the phone and i was able to click restore. However, the computer says preparing iphone for restore and it is still doing the restarting thing where the apple fades away and then comes back like it is restarting. If i can somehow get past this i will be able to go back to factory settings and resolve my problem, but this is where i am stuck.

  • Won't turn on - initially saw the connect to itunes screen then went black and won't do anything

Charged IPad all morning - saw the screen that says to connect to ITunes - Once it reached full charge, screen went black and nothing works -

  • I was listening to my ipod last night and it started to stutter and then went black and now wont turn on

this is my 5th refurbished one

    - Reset the iPod
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Connect it to thecomputer and if iTunes sees it, restore the iPod
    - If not seen in iTunes, see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow you to restore the iPod.  For recovery mode see:
