My iphones and ipods no longer show up as devices when I plug into my computer to use itunes

Does anyone know why my iPhone and iPod no longer show up as devices when I plug into my computer to use iTunes?

If your devices are not showing up in iTunes I suggest your read over and follow the troubleshooting steps in the attached article.
