My iPhoto 11 has stopped forming 'Events' and I cannot find a solution to the problem.

My iPhoto 11 no longer makes 'Events' when I add photos to my iPhoto program and I have seaerched for a solution to this problem but have been unable to locate one. Thank you Mike

My iPhoto 11 program had started to put 'Events' at the top of the page and not at the bottom in the original sequence.
You correct that using - sort events under the view menu
My iPhoto 11 program does not have a 'Show Event Command'.
It does - either usihng a right click or under the file menu depending on the version

Good day. I need some help... I just installed a new computer and I had to download Acrobat to my system. I have a paid subscription that I have not been able to use for a month because I keep getting the above error message. I have also placed below the "problem signature." Actually your suggestions are the ones that i have tried. i have seen that you have tried to help others with this issue and the only one that i could find that said they found the problem said that it was an ilife update issue and it fixed it and i have no available updates. i know it has to do with something in photo stream because it happens when i create a new library and it is loading the photos but i get the message before i reach the maximum 1000 photos. so i've tried updating, new library(first backing up photos and then deleting them from iPhoto), reinstalling OSX many times, running disc utilities. I called Apple the first day i had this issue and i was the first person to call them for support with the retina display and i actually had it escalated to a senior advisor and we thought we fixed the problem but we did not. i am pretty fluent in dealing with troubleshooting these type of issues and this is the first time i'm reaching out to the community. i figured now that the retina has been out some time now that there would be an obvious answer to this issue. thanks for the quick reply.

I had this exact same problem. I found this fix and it worked for me.
Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.

There is no solution. You have to provide the ID and password. There is no way around it. If the person you bought it from can't provide it, return it and get your money back.

I sent the document as a PDF and it worked. But I want to be able to use Pages back and forth. HOw do I update the Pages version on my desktop iMac?

The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it.

I'm new to InDesign and can't find a solution to my problem

I have been using the program for less than a week. So far, I'm really liking it. HOWEVER... I'm having an issue with text-boxes and paragraph breaks that just isn't making sense.
- probably should note I'm on Windows 7 in case that's relevant info...
On my main Windows-user account, I was working on a document and I wasn't able to make a paragraph break in a text-box. I could type all I want, and get multiple lines of text alright. However, when I hit 'Enter' nothing happens. If I place my cursor in between two words and hit 'Enter' all of the words after my cursor will disappear. It doesn't matter how big the text-box is, all the text is deleted.
SO, I made a second user account on computer and started up InDesign. I was able to make paragraph breaks as one normally would in a text-box.
Following that, I went into back into my main Windows-user account, went into the AppData folder and clicked my way to InDesign, deleted the folder "Version 9.0" in both the Local and Roaming folders. After this, I could make paragraph breaks as one normally would.
And then it stopped working and I was back to being unable to make paragraph breaks in either of my computer's user-accounts.
... I have spent a LOT of time clicking around trying to troubleshoot, and not getting anywhere... help!?

Are you using a laptop? Some laptops seem to have the Enter key on the Alphanumeric section of the keyboard mapped to the Enter key on the numpad. By default, the paragraph break is made by pressing Enter on the Alphanumeric section, and pressing Enter on the Numpad produces a column break (which is why your text disappears). If you are using the numpad Enter key, stop. If the regular key is also making the column break instead of a paragraph break, release the Numlock and try again. If that works you'll need to edit the keyboard shortcuts and make a custom set that uses both enter keys for the paragraph break. You can then add a new shortcut for a column break if you need one.

You may be running into trouble with the fonts used in the PDF file. As a test, would you please try converting the document from within Reader, and disable OCR following the instructions in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) when converting PDF to Word or Excel.

I already anticipated the video card causing this issue. This was confirmed today by Apple issuing a campaign indicating the AMD Radeon 6970M video cards are defectivce and will be replaced free of charge three years from date of purchase.
