My iPhoto library just reverted to an old library: how can I find and re-access my current library? I opened my iPhoto, and got the message that it needed to "update" to use this library. I thought maybe there had been a software update since I last opened the program (2 days ago). The library it opened was saved in a file on the desk-top. My current file was just in iPhoto. Please help!

Best option: Restore from your back up.
Otherwise:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

You may be launching an older version of iPhoto from your Dock. Try to launch iPhoto directly from the Applications folder. Does that find a library to open?
If not, search with Find Any File for traces of your iPhoto library, as described by Old Toad in this post:

Download and run Find Any File to search for a file with "ThumbJPGSegment" in the file name. These are files common to all versions of iPhoto libraries.
FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages. If there's a library hiding somewhere on your hard drive FAF will find it.
If that does not work, try to restore from your backup:
The photos were stored on the iMac hard drive. I do have the Time machine with backup on my Airport WIFI.
To restore from Time Machine, you need to open the folder, where your iPhoto library should be, before you enter Time Machine. Then go back in time along the timeline to the right of the TimeTunnel window.

Use the serach feature at the bottom of iPhoto and enter "movie". All movie files imported into iPhoto are automatically given a keyword, movie.
Or you can create a smart album with the following criteria: Keyword is movie. Select all the movie files and use the key combination Option+Command+Delete to move the files to the iPhoto Trash Bion. Then empty the iPhoto trash bin and the Trash bin in the Dock..

Set up new iPhone 5 with iCloud restore, then iTunes created new library with only content already on phone. How do I find and sync everything in original library?

My daughter got a new iPhone 5 and we set it up using the option to restore her iPhone 4 backup from iCloud. This worked great and everything on the old phone showed up on the new phone. Because we were traveling, we weren't able to sync the iPhone 5 with iTunes at that time.
She purchased new apps and music on the iPhone 5. When we returned home she synced with iTunes, and it seems to have created a new library, with only the content currently on the phone. I don't know if it prompted her to do this on the first sync or not - she doesn't remember.
So in iTunes, the library now only shows the music on the phone. A sync isn't doing much now because when choosing the phone in iTunes and selecting each content type across the top (Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows) the box is unchecked to sync that content. When I check the box to "Sync Music", iTunes gives a warning:
Are you sure you want to sync music? all existing songs and playlists on the iPhone Becca's iPhone will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library.
Same goes for apps, except that warning also mentions that the apps and their data will be erased and replaced.
At some point she was also getting a message that this iPhone was associated with another library, but I'm not sure how she had triggered that. She says she canceled out of that. I can see all of the music
How do we get iTunes to see the "old" library of songs, videos and apps without losing the ones she's purchased already on the iPhone? The music files themselves are still on the computer, and include music both purchased from iTunes as well as music ripped from CDs. Thanks for any advice!

My users sometimes creates custom columns i document libraries using the SharePoint GUI. That's fine, but I need to distinguish these columns from SharePoints own columns. So here's my task at hand:
I need to find all the fields (columns) for a document in a document library that were added by a user, i.e. NOT SharePoint standard fields. Is there a way to do this, like a property or something?
In my case, I have an event receiver triggering on ItemUpdated. The following snippet iterates through all fields of my item and I can read the item title and the item value.
How can I filter this to only show title and value of

How can I find what's really in my Library?

After several problematic days, I finally installed iTunes 9.
The new version then imported multiple files (so fast I hardly saw what half of them were, but they were additional to all my regular/ previous files - things like voice memos and other stuff).
I notice that my memory usage has gone up considerably (even though I cannot see a lot of those new imported files in iTunes anywhere).
Question: how can I find (and get rid of) what those imported files were please? On my c: drive folder I can see the iTunes folder with album artwork, games, music, applications, previous libraries - but I think there is much more stuff hidden around somewhere - any ideas please?

What you see in your +My Music\iTunes+ folder is pretty much everything that takes up space. Be careful changing the files here, though. ITunes will not notice if you move or delete something, so the entry that points to it in iTunes will get a "!" mark. Better to review your libraries in iTunes and delete stuff you don't want, opting to move them to the Recycle Bin.
The only other place iTunes stores anything (except for its own .exe stuff in +Program Files+, of course) is in the hidden system folder Application Data. In your Windows XP, you can view this folder by opening a Run box ( +Start > Run+ ) and typing %appdata%.

How do I find and delete old plugins

Since my leopard days I have been migrating data over as I updraded to the new OSX 10.9. When I start to open apps. Pro tools, Logic x, and otehr DAWs, there are some plug ins that are not compatable. Rather than leave a bug, and taking more time to launch my apps, how can I find and delete some of the plug ins that are 32 bit that don't work with 64 bot applications.

Under the file tab in iTunes, select Display Duplicates. From there you can delete them as well.
