My ipod 3 generation,Keys of volume up and down are not working..What can i do?

Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    Try the following.
    Hard reset:
Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Disconnect all the external peripheral devices connected. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
    Power on.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to see if this will launch the Start-up Menu and then select F10 to enter the bios menu.
Press F5 to load the defaults (this is sometimes F9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key), use the arrow keys (assuming they work in this menu) to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Press F10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let the system boot into Windows. Check the keyboard.
    Note--
If you find the keys don't work in the Bios menu, then this is likely to be a Hardware issue.

  • Hello, I bought an ipod second hend but my muscis are not working what can i do?

Hello guys, i just bought my ipod classic 3rd generation, i transmet musics but it's shows no musics so now what can i do help me out plz!!!

SO,,, You've transferred music from itunes to the ipod already? And it's still not showing up on the Ipod, which is what I'm assuming.  If you are not seeing music on your Ipod, then try restoring it to factory defaults. This can be done through the computer.  If a factory reset does not solve any issues, then maybe something is wrong with itunes. How are you syncing the music through itunes? Are you sure it's even syncing? Maybe you thought you clicked the sync button, but didn't. If that's the case, then here is an article on how to sync music to your ipod from itunes.http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12113  If that does not work, then all I would be able to suggest is that the ipod is damaged in some way or form, and therefore does not work. Hope I helped, -Samuel

My iPod (first generation) cannot connect to the app store nor iTunes. What can I do so that it can connect and I can install apps or music once more? Also, when I go on the internet and try to search solutions, it freezes and I have to hold the power button for 20 seconds for it to go to lock screen. Any solutions?

    Safari does work, right?

Same as you would if you bought a pc; copy everything from your old computer to your new one.  Then you can just sync everything from the new computer, as you did with the old one.

  • My kids ipod touch not working, What can we do?

I connected by mistake the charger of my ipad 3 , to my kids ipod touch 4g, now the ipod touch does not power on it only displays the apple logo and then turns off, then it turns on again but only the apple logo and then turns off again, i tried reset it in itunes and did not work, What can we do? Thanks a lot for your help....

Apple Support recommends the "5 Rs": reset, restore, reading, 'riting, and 'rithmetic.  I'm kidding about the last 3.  Check out the iPod section of Support.

  • My facetime and imessage are not working! They were literally were working one minute and not the next!  I have reset (NOT RESTORED) my ipod, however these 2 apple apps are not working now, anyone have any idea why???

My ipod touch seems to have a few issues, however my pre-installed and updated imessage and facetime were literally working last night, and after a breif break to charge battery (the back of the ipod was SUPER HOT) wasn't able to do facetime or imessage, and am STILL NOT today, what gives?? Any suggestions and advice?.

Found the answer, at least for now!  Thanks to roryjt, and having to search through tons of post on imessage and facetime issues!  Changed the DNS on my ipod for my wireless network to 8.8.8.8   Not sure if it will work outside of my wireless network, but since its an ipod, not an iphone, I usually only use it in my place/on my network.  Below is a link to the thread by roryjt.

  • My ipod is not working it shows ipod is disabled but i tried everything to recover it and its still not working what do i do now

i tried everything to disable my ipod but ti still shows ipod is disable

    Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • Volume/brightness/mute controls are not working

I can't use some keys (volume/brightness/mute/eject), technically they are working. The iTunes keys (F7,F8,F9) are still working, so what can I do?

It is possible you changed a System Preference, go to System Preferences - Keyboard - and check to see if the box marked Use all F1, F2 keys.....is checked. If it is, then uncheck.
Try that first, if it doesn't work then do a SMC and PRAM reset 2-3 times back to back. If you aren't familiar with those, please click Intel iMac SMC and PRAM resets for instructions.

  • IPod is stuck in recovery mode and retoring does not fix - What can?

I've installed a new computer and transfered itunes just fine but when I connected my sons iPod it stated "itunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes." I've now restored it more times than I care to remember (it appears restored back to factory settings) but the same message ".... detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore..." persists and thus will not download music library. What else can be done?
    Dell precision 390   Windows XP

This repetitive "ipod found in recovery mode" message is most likely caused by drive letter confusion on your computer.
In that case, you'll need to try assigning your iPod a different drive letter.
Log off of any other users on your computer.
Then, put your iPod into Disk Mode and see these steps:
1 - Don't plug in your iPod yet.
2 - Go to "START -> Control Panel -> Admin Tools (if you don't see this, click on "classic view" button on the left panel) -> Computer Management."
3 - Click on the "Disk Management" button in the left panel area.
4 - Now, with "Computer Management" and Control Panel windows opened, connect your iPod to the computer.
5 - Right-click on your iPod's listing there (after a few moments when it gets recognized in this drive window), and click on "Change Drive letter and Paths". Then the "Change..." button.
Here's what it should look like:
Assign your iPod the letter "M" "N", "O" or the like (further along in the alphabet).

    I hope that helps you.
