My iPod 3rd gen is stuck in recovery mode and wont sync, Error 9 and 1611

I have tried using a different computer, 3 different USB cables, uninstalling everything apple and installing itunes back. But nothing works, i come up with an  error 9 almost 90% of the the time, and the other 10% is an error 1611. i have had this ipod since 2 years and nothing happened untill now, please help

Error 9
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
Error 1611
This error typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, this error may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
The "the device may need service" means a hardware problem which is likely your case. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

My ipod 4th generation is stuck on recovery mode and is stuck on the screen that says to connect to the itunes store. I cant fix the recovery screen until i can coinnect it to itunes... so does someone have any suggestions?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My iPod (4 gen) is stuck in recovery mode and it will not restore. How do I fix it?

So here is what happened: my iPod went dead and when I went to plug it in to charge I noticed it wasn't doing the normal little battery charging symbol nor did it pop up with the apple symbol. When I opened up iTunes it told me that my iPod was stuck in recovery mode and that the only way to fix it was by restoring it. As much as it pained me to do so I did it anyways. It did the routine update and restore window, I waited the 28 minutes, but still nothing. Now when I go to restore it a window pops up that says that the iPod cannot be restored because the iPod update server cannot be contacted or is currently unavailable. I'm at a loss. This the the only form of communication that I have available to me and I need it fixed A.S.A.P. Please help!
    Additional Details
    My iPod is NOT jailbroken.
Now it says and unknown error occurred (3194) please help!

  • Hi, my ipod 5th gen is stuck in recovery mode because i tried to get the ios 7 on it and now i just want it back to it regular ios i please need help

hi my ipod 5th gen is stuck in recovery mode ive tried everything and nothing is working

Only developers have access to the iOS 7 beta and then also have access to the developer forum. Thus, if you are a developer go the the developer's forum.
Otherwise you have a bootleg coy of iOS 7 and are on your own.

  • Ipod 4th gen is stuck in recovery mode

My ipod is stuck in recovery mode and it all started when I was going to update it because it was having glitches. So I was going to use my wifi to update it but it said it couldn't because it wasnt connected to the internet, so i connected my ipod to my mac to update and the bar filled up and then it said an error had occured and couldn't be updated. Then it said it was in recovery mode and i unplugged and tried restarting it to get it out of recovery mode but it didn't work. So i replugged it into my computer and tried restoring it and it started restoring but same thing happened when i was updating it, the downloading bar filled then an error message popped up saying ipod couldnt be restored an unknown error has occured.

Check the hosts file or TCP/IP filtering, which might cause communication issues between iTunes, ports, and servers.

I had jailbroken my ipod touch then decided it didnt do much of anything, so I decided to restore my ipod. But itunes didnt finish the restore and left me in recovery mode. Now it says iTunes has detected an ipod in recovery mod, but when I try to restore it, it says something like could not connect to apple restore firm and I'm back to square one.
    Any Help is appreciated!

i have an ipod touch 4g with 8gb but it is stuck in recovery mode and when i try to restore it an error pops up saying that the ipod ipod can not be restored then the number 1604 pops up how do i fix it

    Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
    When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
