My iPod 4g iMessage wonn't sign in and I've been signed in before. Does anyone know what to do?
Can anyone help me? I had to replace the screen on my ipod and now everything works fine, exept iMessage. It won't let me sign in and it keeps saying "Error accured duing iMessage login."

To sync items purchased with your iTunes acount the iPod has to be signed into your iTunes account (Settings>Store to signout and in) -
So I preorered an album from iTunes and now it won't download into my libraray. It says that I purchased it on iTunes, but it won't even show up in the "Purchsed" library in my account. Does anyone know what I am supposed to do to downlaod it?
If you can't enter the passcode then you have to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod via iTunes. For ecovery mode see:

Note that this requires using the sleep/wake button. If you are not successful then there is nothing else that I know you can do. -
I am aware that the iPod Touch 5g has no official date yet, on the site it only says: Available to ship: October. But, does anyone know what a possible, date for the iPod to be released? :)
Well, I recently checked apple.com, and the "pre-order" button has been replaced with the "buy now" button. This is a very good sign that the iPods will begin to ship soon! There is still no exact date, but I expect that they will ship within the next 3 days. You should get an email when they have shipped.

I went to use my ipod touch 8GB but it wasn't working, when i looked closer it was on just very very dim. The brightness is turned up all the way and the screen is practically black.. does anyone know how to fix it?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings If yu can see the screen enough to do it)
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since you have a hardware problem.

A few days ago, I plugged my ipod touch into my computer to charge it, and also add new music I purchased. When I unplugged the USB cable ( I disconnected it from the ipod first, as I was told to do) I went to look through my music. There was a notification, I don't remember what it said verbatum, but the gist was "177 songs could not be properly synced onto your device". Now, I'm missing music from my itunes library. For example, I purchased two full albums from the same band, now over half the songs from the albums are just gone, they are no longer on my ipod or itunes. Does anyone know what happend, and/or how I can fix this? Please and thank you
P.S. This happend after installing itunes 6, I've noticed many other people are also having problems with it as wellCould be several things. Without more information like what was the wording of the error message I will not even guess.

I have an unknown error (1621) and my iPod is not being recognised in iTunes or the Finder, even in Disc mode. Anyone know what's going on?
Try and force iPod into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPod
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
Some songs that I've bought on iTunes won't play on my iPhone 3GS even though they used to and they will still play on iTunes. Anyone know what I can do to get these songs to play on my iPhone again? Please help!
No, I haven't figured it out. And no one from Apple has contacted me to help. Very frustrating. Sure makes me want to not buy music on iTunes and just buy CD's.

- Charge the iPod for half an hour. Then reset the iPod:

- if still not working, connect to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod, restore the iPod.

Hello, alot of my space taken up on my ipod nano is listed under (other) I don't know what this is but it sure takes up most of the space on my ipod. Does anyone know what (Other) refers to and how to remove it.?Thx

Restart your Modem and Router.
Reset iTunes Store Cache (iTunes Preferences, Advanced tabl)
Delete the App Store plists (close App Store first):
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
To get to these,iIf you still have your user Library hidden, hold down the Option key and select Library from the Go menu in Finder. Otherwise, just go into your home folder, then Library, and then Preferences. -
I just replaced the hard drive on my g4 PowerBook -I don't know where my original software is and apple won't touch it since its "vintage". Does anyone know what my options are to get my computer working again?

You only option is to buy a copy of Mac OS X, either the retail disk or system disks.
There are places you can by a copy of Mac OS X, like online vendors, Amazon or eBay.
System disk are gray and come with more than one disk. Retail disk are black with a 'X' on them and often come as one DVD disk.
Not sure what version your going to require as you haven't provided any specification and model details.
I would safely assume being a G4, it would be happy to install Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.
If you could let us know the PowerBook you own, then I am sure we could advise you further.

I have a macbook from early 2008, and when I sign onto safari I get an error message for fast browser search plugin. After that error comes up my computer freezes and I have to force it to shut down. Does anyone know what that means and how I can fix it?
Means you have an incompatible Safari extension installed. Look in the /Home/Library/Safari/Extensions/ folder for the offending plug-in and delete it.
