My iPod 4g won't let me go on iTunes or app store it says it can't connect
My iPod is a 4g and has 32 gigs and when I go on the app store and iTunes a message pops up and says cannot connect to iTunes and I have wi-fi it just won't work and I'm getting really mad about it
1. Exactly what are the words in the message?
2. Can you send/receive email and browse the web?

I downloaded an emulator yesterday from coolroms.com but deleted the app this afternoon. I cleared my safari search data, my cookies and data, and web inspector, which still didn't work. I then proceeded to reset my iPod and then download the newest version of IOS 6.1.5 but yet still am having problems. Also to the App Store and iTunes, several other apps aren't working. Any help here?
Also, when I go on to safari, another alert pops up that safari cannot verify the identity of the website, anything that I type in to as common as google.com. It gives me 3 options to either cancel, look at details, and continue. I've looked at the details of the website of Google and it is legitimate the site. Any help?

I am trying to set up my daughters ipod touch after resetting it to factory settings. So I am trying to sign in using an apple id. It says won't connect to the servier, but I have other wireless devices connected, so I know my wi fi is working. What now? Thanks
Return it and get a refund. Without the prior owner's Apple ID and password that device is useless. Find My iPhone Activation Lock- Removing a device from a previous owner’s account. You were screwed by the ignorance of the pawn shop owner.

My 3GS will not let me login to iTunes or App store. It says "cannot connect to iTunes store".
In iTunes, do Store->View my AppleID
Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer. If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first. -
Won't let me log in to the app store or iTunes. tells me there is an unknown error.
yep it won't let me log in with my Apple ID and password. my apple ID works fine with icloud and logging into the apple support community. I reset my password to see if that helped. it didn't. I tried to empty the cache.db file from the appstore folder in my library. that didn't work. I tried restarting my mac. that didn't work. So I guess I'm pretty much screwed...
I've had this computer for only two weeks and I can safely say i'm not impressed with Lion OSX 10.7.2
There are a lot of weird kinks and issues. Also compatability issues with apps that have worked on macs for a long time.
1.One example is the SSH client Fugu which is just now releasing a preview of the version for lion users (the full version for lion is still not out yet). Why is it that Lion was released before the compatability issues with major third-party applications was addressed?
2. Another issue, VM fusion newest release with the newest update STILL doesn't provide migrate pc for Lion. only the parallel operating system service works.
3. I can't find any internal files with spotlight without bending over backwards. although after bending over backwards i still can't find anything. for example, I wanted to search for a .plist extension file. In the old days you could set your search preferences so that if you wanted to see hidden or sensitive computer system files you could set it to allow this. Same on Pcs. Now, you can't. You can set preferences in the system preferences to look for certain things in certain applications....but there is no way to simply search for files. You can't find application folders and look into those. Nothing. It's all hidden. heck, it took me over a week or so just to be able to find the Mac HD. that used to be on the desktop. not anymore.
4. Wanted to download the xcode developer tool from the appstore the other day. tried to do that and it lagged forever. didn't tell me at what percentage it was downloading. nothing. then I noticed how many GB it took in space and also the numerous one star reviews saying how the newest update had ruined the application and not to waste my time. Why can't we find archived versions of applications so that in case the most recent one is totally messed up, we could at least have the opportunity to go back to the old version?
5. logging into the appstore the first time it wouldn't even let me download a free app without putting in my credit card information. not exactly reassuring after hearing about all these credit card frauds going around that are found to be connected with appstore CC info.
I am seriously thinking that I should either go and get a copy of snow leopard or just return the computer entirely. I haven't been able to get any of my school work done because of all these weird problems. at first i thought it was because I haven't used a mac in over a year.....but now i'm thinking there are issues over at the apple software development team. I hope that apple will get their act together and release a major patch to fix the problems with Lion. They owe it to their faithful customers. please don't turn into another microsoft.I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.

Won't let me download anything from the App Store on my iPhone 5
When I try to update an app I already have from the App Store it ask me to verify my billing information. When I complete that it says transaction failed because of insufficient funds. The app was free when I bought it and all the apps I do buy are through a savings account so I don't understand if or how I could owe money. Now it won't let me download or update anything without updating my billing information and it always comes up with the same message. Has anyone else had this problem? Please help.

Message saying cant connect to iTunes. I've tried ipad, iPhone, mac a d all the same. I've reset router/ broadband connection and I've tested which is all fine. It's just iTunes I can't connect to - I've signed out and it won't now let me sign back in. Please help!!

My ipod touch is a 5th generation and I recently updated to 8.02 software, however, when I attempted to open up my bank app it gave me a warning that the application may have been compromised. So as I have done when things I need stop working in the past, I erased the application and went to re-download the latest version from the app store. I only then realized that, regardless of my wonderful wifi connection, my ability to access the app store has also been cut off. I have had more problems since the update also with applications closing out in the middle of what I am doing (but this is not new so I thought very little of it) and with my photos. After I take a new photo they aren't arranged in the order that I have taken them in and I have had to search through my 3000+ photos for the one I just took a second ago, which should honestly be at the end of the list like it has always been in the past (not somewhere randomly in the middle like they seem to be now). It's just all so frustrating and I was just wondering if anyone has had the same problems with their ipods, recently and if they know any way to solve them.

App Store doesn't work; can't connect to iTunes Store iPod touch
iOS 6 nothing fixes it
My son was having this issue on his latest gen iPod touch. Worked fine for months then suddenly after a trip from our home in Wisconsin to Toronto he was getting the error message "can't connect to the iTunes Store" when he'd click on the App Store icon. I searched the forums for an hour. Tried all the tricks I read. Turned out once I set his date and time settings to automatic it started working again.
Bizarre.

Try the following:
- Double click the Home button and close all apps in the recently-used dock. The power off and then back on the iPod.
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

I can't use the old Apple id and Apple password on my new Iphone 6 - I can use the new ones. But I can't access the cloud in the meantime. The iTunes and App Stire has the new Apple ID, but I can't get into the settings to change it on the iCloud. It asks for the Old Apple ID and password, which doesn't work. Does anyone know how to change the old Apple ID on the iPhone in the settings for the iCloud?
First, try the new password. If you didn't sign out of iCloud prior to changing the primary email address of your Apple ID, this is what can cause this problem.

I recentley bought a ipod touch 5.01,set all language to English.....every thing i view is in English except when i view (open) itunes or apps store it is in German, I live in England, I was born in England, and i speak only English. I want my itunes and apps store to open and display in English. I have messaged the apple help and telephoned the help, both was helpful but no matter what i do in setting (even in reset, which i've done) my ipod will keep reverting back to German in Itunes and Apps store. All other data in my ipod is in English........just the itunes and apps store grrrrrrrrrrrr.
Please help :-)You can only use the German iTunes/App store if you are located in Germany. The German store is in the German language.

It appears that there is something incorrect with your billing information. You need to correct it. For a standard account you need a valid payment method even for free apps. You can however create a new account that is only good for apps by:

What country's Store are you using?
The two have to be the same and the payment method for your account also has to be associated (billing address, where iTunes gift card was purchased) with that country.

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.
