My IPod 4th generation will not let me send a message

My iPod 4th generation will not let me send a message. I tried sending a text and it froze. It automatically exited out of messages and back to the home page. When I tried to get back to it. It was a blank white screen! What do I do?

  • My ipod (4th generation) will not charge.I have tryed a wall cherger and charging on different computers.Nothing! what should i do?

help me my ipod 4th generation will not charge. i have tryed a wall ataptor an other computers. What should i do? Should i get a new ipod or should i try and get a new charger and see if that helps. It has not been changing for two weeks straight now .Help Please.

Either your USB cable for the charger has been damaged or the part of the iPod where you insert the USB cable is damaged. This usually happens due to water damage or carelessly removing the USB plug off from the iPod. Hope this clears some doubts
You might also wanna try and check with the Genius Bar at Apple, they usually know whats wrong.

SMS and MMS messaging requires an appropriate plan from your carrier for use on iPhone.

  • My ipod 4th Generation will not charge on my bose soundock 10

    Hi
I have never wrote on a forum before please help. I brought The ipod 4th generation when they first come out in 2010 and brouught the sounddock 10 shortly after in the same year all worked perfect no problem, untill last week when the dock stopped charging the ipod everything else works plays music etc just won't charge. ipod seems fine. as it charges up via socket charger. went into local apple shop in birmingham city (not very helpfull) they said it not a problem with the ipod must be the dock. They suggested I did a Firmware update on the dock which I did from the bose website but It says my dock has the latest softwre already and the problem is still the same. PLEASE HELP as the apple store just don't want to know.

If it worked before with iOS 5.1 then try the standard fixes.

  • IPod 4th generation will not turn on and its brand new!

I just got my iPod touch. It is a 4th generation. I got it for Christmas of 2012. Now it wont turn on. I had left my iPod touch on the floor, my window was open, and it was very cold. I left it fully charged and I went to sleep and woke up and it wouldnt turn on. I didnt have music playing or the wifi on so that wouldnt be the cause of it not turning on. The coldness may have something to do with my iPod not turning on. It won't show up on the laptop and I'm scared the battery isnt working anymore. I am considering the thought of bringing it to the Apple Store. I dont want to get a new one cause I have a touch screen cover on my iPod. I hope someone comes up with an answer. Please help ASAP!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Ipod 4th generation will not charge or play on any of our docking stations

Hi my son has an ipod touch and it will not charge or play on any of our docking stations. We had an appointment today at the 'genius' bar and i was told there is not a problem with his device!, I am at a loss as my daughters ipod plays on all our docking stations so why not my sons? Any help or advice would be great as the person at the apple store was not that helpful and i am left feeling very frustrated.

    - Inspect the dock connector for bend or missing contacts, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

  • HT203977 My new IPad Air 2 will not let me send text messages to non Apple devices.  What can I do to fix this problem?

I have a brand new IPad Air 2.  My operating system is 8.2.  I am not able to send iMessages (texts) to non Apple devices.  When I attempt to, the name is in red not green.  What can I do to fix this?

An iPad is not capable of natively sending an SMS or MMS messages.  Those services require a cellular voice channel connection, and a data tablet is only capable of a cellular data channel connection, not a voice channel connection.
If you have an iPhone, under the settings on the iPhone you can enable forwarding with your iPad - where the iPhone actually sends and receives the SMS texts and shares them with your iPad.
Otherwise, you will need to use an app and internet service like the telegram messaging app. Or you can send emails to the persons cell phone via their carriers texting gateway (e.g. [email protected] if they use AT&T in the USA).
iMessages between iOS apps are separate from SMS texts as iMessages use Apples internet service and equipment. But the SMS protocol crams a short text message into the residual bandwidth of a cellular phones voice channel and cannot be sent over a cellular data connection.
