My iPod 5 screen cracked and I want to know if Apple care can fix it or replace it
Does Apple care cover screen damage
no, it does not. Broken screens are considered accidental damage and are not covered under the warranty.
You'll need to pay the out of warranty fee to get it fixed. (and by fixed Imean pay the fee to exchange your broken one for a refurbished replacement)

My ipad screen cracked and I want to change it. Who can do that?
Who can fix my ipad screen which cracked?
The standard 1-year Apple Care warranty only covers defects in materials and workmanship, not damage due to accidents.
Apple's Limited Warranty http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ for iPad excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications.
Out-of-Warranty Service
If you own an iPad that is ineligible for warranty service but is eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service, Apple will replace (Apple doesn't repair) your iPad with an iPad that is new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability for the Out-of-Warranty Service fee listed below. (The replacement will most likely be a refurbished iPad in a brown box, however, it has a new screen, back and battery.)
iPad model
Out-of-Warranty Service Fee
iPad mini
$219
iPad 3rd, 4th generation
$299
iPad 2, iPad
$249
A $6.95 shipping fee will be added if service is arranged through Apple and requires shipping. All fees are in US dollars and are subject to local tax.
Certain damage is ineligible for out-of-warranty service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. However, an iPad that has failed due to contact with liquid may be eligible for out-of-warranty service. See http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_States&product=ipad

I cracked my iPod screen today, and I want to get it fixed, but I don't know if the Apple store will do it for free. I've only had it for 6 months and I'm worried that it's going to cost me more money to fix it then if I got a new iPod. It's an iPod touch 4th generation 16GB. If anyone knows the approximate price to fix it, i'd appreciate it!
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99. They do not fix yours.

Ipod screen cracked and replaced by third party, now cant type capitals so cant enter Apple ID password to access itunes, is there anything I can do?
Like lllaass said, bring it back to them. But, never ever, bring an iOS device to anyone for repairs except Apple. That voids your warrenty.

I have an iPod touch 3g and I want to know if iI can get ios 4.3 because now I have ios 4.2.1 and I can't have a lot of app.?
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
Identifying iPod models
iPod touch (3rd generation)
iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318. -
Someone stole my ipod today in class and i want to know if you guys can track it or how can i do it
Someone stole my ipod today in class and i want to know if you guys can track it or how can i do it
Emmanuel:
You most likely can not locate it because either the battery power ran out or whoever stole it turned it off.
Do not post the serial number here in the forums. We are just other Mac users here in the community and not Apple employees.
You will have to report the iPod to your local law authorities:

is it possible for me to get a new one and also some of the metal on the back has been shedding why is that happening??
LaurenW147 wrote:
How much does a new one cost??? And this still doesnt answer my question of why it broke i had a screen protecter and a case on it it makes no sense to me
Screen protectors are for protection against scratches, not for protection against the iPod being dropped. As to the case, you may wish to take this issue up with the case manufacturer, though again, most claim protection only against scratches and mars, not against being dropped. Either way, such damage is not covered by the devices. warranty.
As to cost, Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here (as also mentioned by Limnos):
http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/
There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty will be void.

Also I was wondering what stuff would icloud delete from my ipod if I deleted it using icloud's find my iphone and If theres a way I could reset the ipod from my apple account?
You can lock or erase your device via Find My Phone only if it was already configured for your device ahead of time.
What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:
This link, Re: Help! I misplaced / lost my iPhone 5 today morning in delta Chelsea hotel downtown an I am not able to track it. Please help!, has some good advice regarding your options when your iDevice is lost or stolen.

my ipod is a 16gb 1st gen model..
if so how much is the discount?Apple will only give you a 10% "recycling" discount if you turn an old iPod in when you purchase a new one. You are usually better off just selling the old one

I need help updating my iphone

I have the ibook g4 laptop! what music downloader can i download to get free music?,so i want have to use itunes.
Given the OS X versions last supported by the old PowerPC based G4/G5 computers, there are a few players that work with music sites for OS X 10.4.11 or OS X 10.5.8. I have not researched these, and many of the web sites that promise a free player or access to free music offer 'adware' laden questionable products, no matter what OS X version a Mac could run.
For just music, the Radio player in the iTunes application can give you several choices of music types, to include fairly recent songs. This will use bandwidth and there likely is no native way in the computer to capture the audio; and without a legal source, a question arises concerning illegal filesharing and the like, which is not a topic friendly to these discussions.
However there some great music channels in the Radio portion of iTunes player that do not require the store to listen to them; these are streamed from servers and you may be able to locate other streaminsg sources and add them to the iTunes Radio player.
There were some shareware or limited use utilities that could record any sounds in your Mac, including beeps, clicks and keyboard sounds. And any noises from web pages, etc. And save them. But some time has passed since I had anything like that. It was like a built-in recorder, and with a Mac microphone, even more so.
However anything software involves the limitations of your computer hardware's upper limit in OS X version. And be wary of sites with several download links that say free or download, since softonic genieo and others can install adware and other hard to remove ailment prone background software in your mac along with their promised product; and their 'uninstaller' also will add hard to remove background stuff in your mac. So does mackeeper and cleanmypc kinds of stuff. Avoid installing these along with hoped-for great promises.
Sorry to not be of much help, however anything that may
contribute to illegal file sharing is a void issue here...
Good luck & happy computing! -
Thankyou for answers
Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly. Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.
