My iPod 5th generation has white lines across the screen and i cannot unlock it
My iPod has white lines across the screen. I cannot do anything! Somebody please help! P.S. I dropped it and it did this.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. I suspect that the drop damaged the iPod

The ipod will show flashing white lines across the screen, going down, it then does somthing where the screen will dim down but its not like when the backlight goes on and its about to lock. It dims the background of your ipod and the icons and letters kind of all look defined. Then the ipod gets all pixelized and it has big boxes on pixels and its all differnt colors like purples and greens, red, etc. then it turns right off and restarts itself less than 5 seconds later. These things happen really fast but when it does it's really weird. It first happened 3 times in a row, Its still continuing to happen but i can manually turn off my ipod by holding the lock button down and not even 30 seconds later it's like its possessed and it turns on by itself. I talked to somone on appel and they told me to back it up and restore it. I restored it and as soon as the process ended and tuirned on like a brand new ipod and like clockwork the glitch happened instantly. It did it a couple of times throughout the night and i kept having to watch it so i can keep turning it off manually because it continues to turn on by itself. I talked to 3 different people on Apple Support and they couldnt even find an answer for me. It's so weird.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

My I Pad 4 has a white line across the screen with the apple logo and its frozen.

Try a reset:
1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
2. For about 10 seconds
3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important) -
A few months back I Dropped my iPhone 4 and I cracked my screen and now i cant unlock my phone due to touch screen not working plus there are blurred lines across the screen and I can't see anything that it displays.
Now when I try too connect my iPhone 4 to iTunes on my computer at home an error message comes up saying that I have to unlock my iPhone 4 for it to communicate to my device.
But the problem is that I can't unlock my iPhone 4 because I'm unable to see the key pad and my touch screen no longer responds when I touch it.
I just want to reset my iPhone 4 back to its Factory Settings & start all over from the beginning.
How can I unlock my iPhone 4 with iTunes on my computer or any other option you suggest me trying.

If Verizon return it to Apple it wil not be handled by Apple
If Verizon also use unauthorised repairers you may be lucky

My Photoshop CS 5 has some strange actions when I copy a portion of a photo using the clone stamp to transfer to another part of the image. It carries the entire layer (not just the stamps selection) across the screen and I cannot place it where I need to. It appears as if I selected the entire layer on purpose (which I did not)
The below items appeared when I opened Photoshop CS 5:
“Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled G & U enhancements. Check the video card malfunctions website for latest software. GPU enhancements can be enabled in the performance panel of preferences.”
(I believe this started after the automatically updated Windows was applied. It was coincident with the before mentioned problem . . . but I don’t really know if it had anything to do with it. )For the Clone Stamp problem, check the Clone Source panel and Clipped is probably unchecked.
If so, check Clipped and see if that makes a difference.

As to the video card problem:
Which version of windows are you using?
What is the make and model of your graphics card?
Do you know which update windows installed? -

My 2014 MacBook Pro has a line across the screen when minimizing
I am having a problem with my 2014 MacBook Pro with the 2.7 Ghz i5 and 8Gb ram.
When I minimize my screen, irrespective of the program, a white line appears across the desktop and sometimes blinks or stays, then goes away. It does not happen every time...However, I already returned one 2014 MacBook Pro for this issue and now it seems this computer is doing it too. I am running Mavericks 10.9 and to make sure it wasn't anything that I had on the original computer, I did not do a backup from time machine; I reloaded the programs from scratch. I have never had this problem with my macbook air and I have a video of the issue occurring.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

My phone has lines from top to bottom the screen has nothing , I tried to reset it many times also tried to reset with computer and nothing. I used to tap on it and sometimes it worked but not no more , I even broke the screen and cracked the back so now what ??? this I-phone 4 is the worst phone i have had . I am having the same issue. ** MY IPHONE IS TURNING OFF RANDOMLY ** and it's driving me crazy.
THE SYMPTOM... I am using my phone fine and then when I go to send a text, take a photo, etc, it just turns off. This started a few weeks ago after upgrading to the new IOS. The 'symptoms' increased in frequency and my phone started turning off more frequently. I took my Iphone to the apple store. They reset the phone to factory standards and the problem still exists.
THE PROBLEM: The guy at the Genius Bar said he knows there is a known software issue, and this looks like it's affected my processor. BUT this was only after I told him that I have been reading about a lot of other people having the same problem.
THE SOLUTION: Are you having the same issue? ... Reply to this post and let me know. If a lot of people are having the same problem, Apple will probably just swap out the phones. My phone is in mint condition except for the new 'problem' its having after I upgraded my software. -
My first gen iPad has a line across the screen?
Ok, so mybrother who has Down Syndrome threw myfirst gen iPad, and now it has a thick line about 2/3 of the way down.it never goes away. How to fix it,or how much would it cost to replace?

Thunderbolt 27' has gray lines across the screen
I have gray horizontal lines every 10 pixels on my Thunderbolt Display 27'. Does anyobody know how to solve it? I have all updates installed, I tried to un-plug/plug-in the display and restart MBP but it didn't help. What's interesting, I do not experience this problem on another display.
Did you ever figure out the cause of this?
I have the same problem when plugging my late 2013 rMBP (running Mavericks) into a Thunderbolt display. Really distracting. I have so far tried: restarting, changing resolution, changing thunderbolt ports - none of these seem to have made a difference. I've used other external monitors connected to the rMBP via HDMI, without this problem.
My next plan is to try with another Thunderbolt display in the Apple store - that should hopefully narrow it down to a display issue vs. graphic output issue. -
Intel iMac (Early 2008) Has vertical lines on the screen and doesn't boot.
My iMac froze up tonight, and upon restarting it there are a number of yellow vertical line segments throughout the display, and it will not boot completely into the OS. The spinning segment just stops and the computer does nothing. I inserted my Leopard disc to run a hardware test but holding D during bootup does nothing, even though I can hear the disc spin up.

Any Thoughts?I've had this same exact issue and have had to have the graphics card replace (nvidia 8800gs).
It seems these graphics cards are defective in some way.
Unfortunately my iMac is out of warranty and I must pay 3500dkk ( 500usd ) for repair.
I'm very disappointed as to the reliability of these iMacs as I've only had it for 2 years my old iMac g4 1ghz has performed better than this and is actually what I'm using until my so called new iMac is back from repairs -
Colored and white lines across iPad screen
Ok so I got home from work and I pulled my iPad out of my laptop bag and I noticed that when I turn it on there are like these colored lines and also this big white bar across the screen. Why are those things there?

He turned it on tonight and as other people have mentioned on this forum the ipad now has coloured lines across the screen. I called customer services and I must say i am extrememly disappointed with the response I got. They offered me a replacement for £260..... no other explanation other than it may be a hardware problem. After paying £600 for the original ipad only just over a year ago I would expect better from Apple. Myself, my husband and my three children all have iphones and other apple products but I must say if this is the support you get then I would consider other options in the future. Very disappointing....... If anyone else other than a customer service agent who reads from a script can help then please get in touch. Thanks

On my nano I have this about a cm high white stripe across the screen and there are little black dots in it when I tap the screen the dots go away so its just a white stripe. It has happened before but has gone away but it wasnt as bad I just restarted it the last times like turned it off or something. But now it wont go away. What to do? I have like 276 days on my warranty left what do I do with that? Thanks

My iphone 5 stopped working. I only see a thin white line on the screen
My iphone stopped working. I can only see a thing white line on the screen and the screen does not respond at all although turning the phone on vibrate makes it vibrate. The screen has been cracked for some time but has worked fine until today.

Removing Mac OS 9 files now that classic mode is not available on OS 10.5
