My iPod 5thG it's stuck

Hi, I have a problem, as in the title.
My iPod nano 5thG doesn't turn on. It has less then 2 years.
When it is not in charge, it seems die, but when I connect it to the usb of my mac, or the socket, the apple appear, for few seconds and than..black screen.
Then the apple again and the black screen. And itunes doesn't recognize it. I restarted the mac and nothing. I unistalled itunes, restarted mac, installed again, and nothing.
I've tried to restart the ipod (switch on-off the hold, press menu and select together), and nothing, the only way how itunes recognize it is in disk mode, but however, after that i sync everything, I restore it from Itunes, I disconnect the ipod and... nothing... always the same problem.
How is that possible??
Is it a software's problem or hardware??
Could a bad battery do that?
Thank you for your time guys.
Rocco

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IPod Nano 5thG not discovered/ Stuck in Recov./Disk mode

    Hello all,
My iPod Nano 5thG (and my iPod 5thG Video) are not being detected by either iTunes or Computer (formerly "My Computer"), but are, however, being detected by Computer Management, and, in the case of the 5thG Video, is being detected by 3rd-party iTunes-esque programs.
most pressing problem, however, is that I cannot recover my Nano 5thG. The reason behind this is that I connected it to my parents' Mac Mini in the hopes that it would be discovered, not knowing then that it would reformat it to an Apple-only format. My iTunes would detect it for around a second, saying that it needed to be recovered into a Windows format, then the popup window closed itself, and the whole system (aside from Comp. Management) couldn't discover it.
I've completely reinstalled the whole Apple shebang on my computer nearly 10 times, to no avail. What I hope by posting this here and on the Asus forums (if such exist) is that I will find a solution without having to restore my system, or to go purchase Windows 7 AGAIN since Best Buy refused to provide install discs, and Asus made their crappy backup utility prompt me to set up a Factory Restore disc set AFTER I'd used my computer for a month. Yay me, right?
Any help would be appreciated. I will probably trek down to the Apple store and get my iPod restored properly... if they have a Windows machine there. I will look into a factory restore setting when I finish this post and finish backing up all my files. Thanks in advance for the help!
    Regards,
    ~~--Grishmak

Reset it (hold down the menu and center buttons for six seconds).

  • My iPod Touch 4 is stuck in recovery mode & iTunes doesn't recognize it

I ran an IOS Software Update on my Ipod Touch 4, during which the Ipod totally locked up. Then the iTunes icon appeared on the screen, with a power cord symbol. I plugged it into the computer, and opened up iTunes. iTunes said the iPod was in recovery mode and that it could only open it if it was restored. I ran restore, which I was very hesitant to do; but I had no other option.  It took a very long time, but appeared to be working properly, no error messages appeared during the restore. It took hours to restore.. At the end of the restore process, I expected the iPod to reboot or another screen to come up on the iTunes page on the PC. Instead, nothing changed. The iTunes page stayed the same, the iPod stayed the same, with the same "iTunes" screen. After an hour,  I unplugged it.  I went online for a solution, followed the instructions to put it into DFU mode after iTunes quit recognizing it altogether when I plug it in. The iPod screen is still stuck on the "recovery mode" screen.  I have the most current version of iTunes on the PC, running it on a Windows PC with Vista.  I love my iPod and ran the software update for maintenance, and instead it locked it up and made it unusable.  It is no longer covered under warranty. I tried the health check with Apple, but they can't communicate with the iPod because it's in recovery mode.  Please help!  I live in a town with no Apple store.

hi my ipod 5th gen is stuck in recovery mode ive tried everything and nothing is working

Only developers have access to the iOS 7 beta and then also have access to the developer forum. Thus, if you are a developer go the the developer's forum.
Otherwise you have a bootleg coy of iOS 7 and are on your own.

  • Hi my ipod 3 g is stuck on connect to itunes once its detected it says to unlock it because it has a passcode my question is how im i suppose to  unlock it when i dont get that option ive tried holding the wake btn

hi my ipod 3 g is stuck on connect to itunes mode once connected it says to unlock  the whole thing here  it does not give me that option ive tried to hold the wake button & home that has not helped any suggestions thanks .

Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to reset the passcode during this process:
iOS: Unable to update or restore and iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

  • Ipod Touch 5th gen stuck in restore mode

My Ipod Touch 5th gen stuck in restore loop i keep clicking restore and i just keeps downloading the ipod software update, and i wont restore it just keeps saying that a ipod was found in restore mode..... Can someone please help

The same thing happened to me, while restoring my iPod Touch Generation 5.  I don't know if you are still caught in the same loop but this worked for me.  I am using a MacBook Air running Mountain Lion version 10.8.2.  iTunes is at version 11.0.
After running through the published Restore procedure without any success I found the Software Update file had downloaded as:
    "/Users/my_home_directory/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates/iPod5,1_6.0.1_10A523_Restore.ipsw"
The ~/Library directory is invisible on my machine, more than likely a design standard.  I used a terminal to first locate the file and then to copy the file to a readable location, my Desktop.
My iPod was still stuck in Recovery Mode so I plugged it in.  iTunes was already running and identified the Recovery Mode iPod, prompting me to Restore it.  I clicked OK.
I held the option key while clicking Restore.  This opened a navitation window that enabled me to select the Software Update .ipsw file I had copied to my Desktop.  The Restore process then ran without any failure and the iPod is now running again.
This is not a formal solution as far as I can tell, nor have I verified the procedure across multiple iPods, multiple scenarios, etc.  I just wanted to share it as an "at-your-own-risk" alternative you might want to try.
    Good luck, cupcakequeen83.

    Help!
My iPod touch 4g is stuck in a restore loop and I dont know why! Its jailbroken and i got fed up of it so i decided to restore it. It didnt work. It came up with error 21 and then i tried to restore it in dfu mode and it came up with error 1600. I took it into the apple store and they said they would have to make an appointment to try it... I dont really want to do that becuase i cant live without it!
I have tried everything to get it out! Rec boot, iReb and redsn0w and its not working
My iPod is 4 years old by the way
    Also im a mac user
If somone out there could be an absolute star and help me with it i would be insanely grateful!

    You can try 2 things:
Restart your iPod by - Holding the Power and Home buttons until you see the Apple logo.
Put your iPod in DFU and restore - Hold the Power and Home until the screen goes black, wait about 2 seconds, release the power button but keep holding the home for 15 seconds, then on iTunes, Restore and Update.
