My iPod battery would runs out of battery fast.

My iPod would run out of battery fast but once I lock the iPod and reopen it, the battery would regenerate. What is wrong?

Try the following to rule out a software problem.:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Ipod 60 Photo runs out of battery before full update done

I have about 18GB of tunes/podcasts in ITunes (no photos). While ITunes shows that the Ipod is connected OK, it takes about 1 to 1.5 hours for a message to come up saying something like 'not all the tunes can be found' and then only 5-12GB gets downloaded before the battery on the Ipod runs out.
I have installed the latest Ipod software, and have installed the next but latest Itunes Software (6.01?). I have gone through all the songs and sorted out all the disconnected links to ITunes Library on my computor, so the error message seems to be incorrect. I have just bought a Universal Dock hoping I could keep the Ipod on charge at the same time as download but there's only one connector port on it so it looks like this is not the solution.
Suggestions would be welcome. I'm missing my music fix!

I'll have to try your suggestions a bit later. Got a crisis. All the tunes and podcasts have disaapeared from my iTune Library. I've had this happen before, but last time my iPod had the full library on it so I was able to upload into iTunes. This time, the iPod lbrary is very incomplete so I think I'm starting from scratch.
I suspect I may have a software conflict issue anyway. iTunes frequently crashes my whole computor. I have no idea what to do about this. The company who maintains my software don't know what to do either.
I love my iPod. Its opened the world of music to me. Its so sad that its hard to keep to keep my iPod & iTunes up and running OK.

I have an iPod touch 4 (which I got sometime in December 2010), and I fully charge it, and when I disconnect it I don't immeadiately use it. When I'm about to use it, I can see the battery is already running out. & I haven't even used it. Is something wrong with my iPod?

the reason people don't seem to get is that leaving your iPod on "wifi" mode drains battery, it drains even more if you have the wifi on in an area where there is no wifi connection.
mutlitasking and screen brightness helps but it doesn't give the drainage effect like what you said.
apple doesn't give the iPod Touch crappy battery, it's the users who doesn't understand how it works.

Tablepace running out of space fast!

One of our tablespace is running out of space quite fast since last month.
Originally that tablespace had only one datafile with 4GB space, now we have 4 datafiles - each 4 GB
This week we will have to add another datafile, and I have a question:
is better to assign this time more space to datafile (ex. 8GB, 10GB...) or keep still 4GB like previous one?

Depending on your version, Oracle is capable of handling 32GB files without no degradation in performance. I wouldn't bother about restricting my datafile size to 4GB. And you said you are using SAN as storage which probably has 14 disks minimum, who cares about striping between 4 datafiles in a single tablespace?
If your tablespace has grown 3 times in a month, have you considered checking if it is legit? For how long was it sitting at 4GB initially? is your PCTFREE and PCTINCREASE set properly? In short, make sure you don't have wasted extents.

Ipod is already running out of space!

I have the ipod touch 8g, and only have a little over 700 songs on it and it's already almost full! There's about 1g of memory left! This can't be right, thought I'd at least be able to get 1,000 songs on there???

The higher the kilobits per second (kbps), the higher the audio quality and the larger the file size. The most common bit rate for stereo AAC files is 128 kbps. iTunes Plus songs from the iTunes store are now 256 kbps, twice the size.
You can use iTunes to make a copy of a song at a lower kbps if you really need more songs on your iPod. This happens automatically while syncing to an iPod Shuffle (only), but you have to do the conversion yourself for other iPods. This document explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
If you do a conversion, you will still have the original quality song in your library which you may keep or delete as you wish.

Unfortunately, it's simply a matter of physically looking for it, and start by (as Squishpoke suggests) remembering where you were when you last saw it.
It happens to all of us, when you mislay something, you have to look for it and there's no magical method for an iPod that has run out of power.
...and if I applied a metal detector to my face, I guess it would bleep due to the tooth caps in my mouth!

Ipod runs out of battery after its been connected to pc.

Hi my Ipod has ranout of battery after its been connected and charging through my pc. It was connected for a good few hours and when i disconnected and i went to play an album, i get the message - "please connect to power". I cant understand why it runs out when it says charging (the lightning bolt) and then battery fulll (the plug symbol). This has happened a couple of times now, i would be greatful for any help or insight into this. Thanks.

My computer doesnt go to sleep, the ipod still says connected, so still not sure whats happening. It doesnt happen all the time, so funk knows, cheers anyway. Maybe the new firmware will fix it. Any ideas to when its due out?

How do you fix lines that come up on an iPod Touch (5th Gen) once it turns on after running out of battery?

This has happened to me about 4 times now. I just got a brand new iPod touch (5th Gen) after replaceing my 4th gen iPod. I havent had it for a month, so its still brand new. The only thing is that when the iPod runs out of battery it turns off (duh) but it doesnt turn back on when you plug it in to charge. When I noticed that the iPod doesnt turn on, and I hit the power button, lines appear on my screen. They are lines that run up and down the screen from left to right. I try factory resets, setting resets, restoring my iPod. But this issue keeps coming up. I honestly dont know what to do. This thing is brand new and its acting up on me. Should I take it to my apple store? Should I just put up with it. I have tried everything and at this point I dont know what to do anymore. Please help!!

Since you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem
If the iPod is defective within warranty (you indicate it is) and not abused Apple will exchange it on the spot.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!
