What is your malfunction? If you state the problem someone may have an answer on have to correct it. Note: the warranty covers defective craftsmanship with your iPod, not miss use, example-- dropping your iPod and cracking the screen, generally not covered, unless you purchased Apple Care. Your mother board has a melt down and fails within 1 year, most likely covered. (This is only an example Apple has the final say what is or is not covered, only using this to make a point). Not knowing the details of your trouble, contact Apple Genius Bar to have your iPod evaluated. Good luck, Cheers.

please help!! my iphone 4 battery died then when i tried to charge it the plug into itunes came up as my phone has gone into recovery mode for some stupid reason! i have tried tinyumbrella as itunes is giving me no other option but to restore, i dont want to restore as i have very important photos of my babies that i havnt backed up yet and CANT loose!! iv tried holding the 2 buttons intogether but that doesnt work either ! there is bound to be a way around this without loosing my photos. im tamping with apple, this shouldnt happen ! aswell as worring bout loosing all my photos and now i have no phone so am paying for a contract that doesnt even work . please please please helppppppp ! x
If your phone is in recovery mode, all the data on it, including those photos, is already lost. Leaving important photos on a phone for any length of time, such as baby pictures, as you've found out is a terrible idea.
You've no option but to restore your phone. -

How recently did you switch? If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account. The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices. I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

I am updating the software on my daughters IPOD touch 4th generation and it is going on 4 hours now. I know this is not normal. What can I do? It synced just fine, but has been stuck on "updating ipod software" for 3 hours now!
She has had it for about 6 months and this is the first time we have plugged it into the computer since then. I can not exit out of itunes either.If you still have the problem after retoring the iPOd to factory defaults/new iPod then The iPod is likely defective and replacement is required. I receive the follwing error message when trying to open my ipod touch/itunes "the itunes libary.itlfile is lockedon a lockdisk or you do not have write permission on this file. How do I resolve this problem?
Repair iTunes Security Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Securitytab and click Advanced. Use the Change Permissions... button grant to your account (or the Users group) and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to Replace permissions entries... which will repair permissions throughout the library. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply.
If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit... button to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges. Tick the option to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.
Repeat with the media folder if it isn't stored inside the main iTunes folder.
If you've brought over the library from another computer you may also want to remove any "mystery" identities (S<string of dashes & digts>) that have come over from the old computer...

I used my Ipod while at the gym one day and now it's acting wacky. I have tunes that will not download due to an "unexpected error (-50). Anyone know what this is and how to fix it?
looks like the gtk theme is not the problem. didnt really think it was, but the documentation was worth posting. the guys over at ubuntu look as though they have dealt with this in great detail, and have produced a few solutions, which may or may not work. i have decided to post these for anyone else who may have these problems.

judging by a google search on this problem and the number of responses that came up, the bonobo/daemon error is quite a common curse for the users of gnome, although much more common in distros such as ubuntu or fedora.
i hope that this proves useful and if anyone has anything to add, please feel free. the more documentation the better.

another solution would be to remove gnome and reinstall it from scratch. (some please tell me if i am doing this correctly. thanks )
1. clean your catch:
pacman -Scc
2. remove gnome, gnome extras, and whatever other gnome files you might have installed
pacman -Rscn gnome gnome-extra etc...
3. reinstall gnome and gnome extras
pacman -Sy gnome gnome-extra
4. reconfigure your desktop the way you want.

One has nothing to do with the other.
You have to pay for the phone if you did not do so online.
Must show ID and if new service you may have to pay a security deposit. Go to the store find out.

Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
