My iPod can't find my network ever since we got a new router

I have recently got a Linksys E 2000 router but ever since I got it my iPod will not find it. How can I fix it??? ;(

Are you broadcasting your network name? If not, you can still log onto your network by entering the network name when you log on. Tap Settings > WiFi > Other. Manually enter the name of the network, security used, and network password. You network name and password are case sensitive.
While you might think hiding your network name protects your network, it really doesn't. Just pick a good encryption system (WPA or WPA2) and a good password.

    IS THIS A GAME?
    WHAT DETAILS DO YOU NEED?
    THE COMPUTER HAS WORKED FINE
    WITH THE OLD MOZILLA FIREFOX
    FOR YEARS.
NO CHANGES HERE IN ANYTHING ELSE.

Click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Plugins and disable the following:<br><br>
    * Fun Web Products Plugin<br><br>
    * My Web Search<br><br>
Both of these are adware/spyware and cause performance issues in Firefox.
Next, click the Extensions menu link (above Plugins where you are) and remove the "Ask Toolbar".
If the problem persists, please do the following:<br><br>
    #Click '''Help '''| '''Restart with Add-ons disabled'''.<br><br>
#In the next menu which appears, checkmark: "'''Reset toolbars and Controls'''".<br><br>
#Finally, click the button called "'''Make changes and restart'''".
Just in case you weren't aware of it, you can right click the Back or Forward buttons to get a list of sites visited. If you'd like to see the return of the arrow on the Back button, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/
Last but not least, some of your plugins are seriously out of date which exposes your system to exploits. Please visit the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update where necessary.

  • Airport Card Exists, Shows up in Profiler -- Can't find Any Networks Ever

I've had this problem since November. My Macbook (late 2006 model) has an airport card that is found in the System Profiler. It appears to function as a wireless card. It does not however function for finding a network at all.
I am trying to figure out my options for remedying this. It seems possible that the antennae does not work. If I bought a new airport card would it come with an antennae or is that a separate piece of hardware? I had a third party USB wireless card that I was able to use for wireless access, but it stopped working after a little more than 6 months. I live in a tropical climate and electronics don't always last long here.
Would changing the firmware on the airport card be a possibility? It currently has 1.4.16.2.

I have an iMac G4, airport extreme card was working right, one day the network list just did'n show up. I read somewhere here, the problem might be the antenna of the card...sounds like the card need to be repaired or replaced...

  • I can't find my music in iCloud, just got a new iMac computer, was using Windows before.

    Hello,
I recently purchased a new iMac computer and have not been able to access my music in iCloud.  I am an old me.com member and understand they have kept me at the upgraded storage, which is great, but have not been able to access my music.  Where is it?

Are you referring to iTunes Match, if so that would be found in iTunes.

  • HT2188 Ever since I got the new software update my iTunes on my phone is grey and does nothing!

    Has anyone had similar issues?

    Hey Sandeejackpot,
Thanks for the question. If you haven't already done so, you may want to restart or reset the iPhone:

If the issue persists, you will want to reinstall iOS:

  • Ever since I got the new update my iPad keeps shutting down apps mid use!

While using my iPad 2 programs and apps keep shutting down mid use this only started happening after I did the update.... Any suggestions?

Try closing all apps via the iPad's multitasking bar and then do a soft-reset and see if that improves things.
To close apps : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag each app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
To do a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Help....Can not find any networks

All of a sudden my Ipod can not find any connections. Even the one at my house. IT has to be the IPod because I have my moms IPod right next to mine and hers is finding the network and connecting just fine.
Ihave already did a restore, and I also reset the network settings

Next step it to restore to factory defaults in case there is some corruption which is now in the backup. If that does not work then you may have a hardware problem.

  • Photosmart b209a can't find wireless network.

I've only had this printer for three days. The "Easy One Button" process to get it to find a network failed. It cannot find my wireless network.
I'm using XP Professional on my laptop. McAfee Virus scanning and Firewall. (Not that it matters if the printer can't find the wireless network)
I have a DSL D-link router with NO MAC filtering and yet when I print the Wireless Network Test Report it gives me this whole spiel on MAC address filtering and asks to add the MAC address of the printer to the router... but there's no offered solution if MAC filtering is turned off.
I've changed my router security key from WEP to WPA-PSK.
I've managed to get it to connect twice... and to print a test page on separate days. I have no idea what it is I do that gets it 'online' but it doesn't seem to last.
I have spent several hours over the past three days (wasting entire days) trying to work out what the problem is. I have read forum posts; I have googled for solutions. The troubleshooting guide for the printer seems hopeless.
The printer is on the same desk as the router with only a computer monitor between them.
When I print the HP Network Configuration Page it states the status of the 802.11 Wireless is "Disconnected". The printer's wireless light is on, showing that the wireless radio is working on the printer.
I bought HP because my last printer was HP and it was excellent (but not wireless). If I can't get it to go online, seriously, I'll take it back and exchange it for a different brand of printer. All I want is a printer I can print to wirelessly, is that so hard to ask? Yes, I'm getting really frustrated here. I live in a rural area and I don't have access to geek friends or a computer professional or anything like that and returning the printer requires a two hour drive so I have to be as self-sufficient as possible. Please, try not to use too many technical terms. I can understand some but not all and if anybody can help me, please be clear in their instructions (ie, don't just say 'go to setup blah blah blah' without saying which setup you're talking about.)
Thanks for any help. It is appreciated.

Yes, the desktop is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.
    Yes the laptop is wireless.
The printer is connected to the router via wireless (which I've already stated, it keeps losing the wireless network).
If I don't have my printer connected to the desktop via cable, then I won't have any printing capability at all, because, as I just said, the printer keeps losing the wireless network! I need at least some way of printing when the printer can't find the network (even though the wireless network is working perfectly fine).
So, desktop connected to router with cable.
    Laptop is wireless
Printer is wireless for laptop use (but it keeps losing the network and therefore is totally useless in that respect)
Printer is connected to desktop via cable to enable printing because of wireless continuing to lose connection to wireless network.
In fact my printer hasn't been able to connect to the wireless network for 2 days now... even though I'm currently connected to it on my wireless laptop.
Sometimes the printer finds the network, sometimes it doesn't and when it does, if I try to print from the laptop wirelessly, the printer loses the network.
This really is poor product and the installation manual might as well be used for toilet paper for all its worth, same with the 'help' feature on the disk. I only chose HP because I was familiar with it, since my previous printer was HP and reliable (but not wireless). I'm seriously wishing I'd purchased a different brand.
I'm not an IT tech, but I've managed to be able to connect modems and routers and other peripherals to my network without too much hassle at all... until now.
I'm sorry if I sound angry but this is completely frustrating. I spent good money for a product that I am unable to use for the main purpose I bought it! I'm reduced to saving things to USB sticks and physically taking them to the desktop computer and having to print from there.

  • My iphone 4 can't find a network

I bought my iphone 4 in Ny and brought to Brazil. It was working fine till last Friday. It can't find a network anymore. It says on the upper left corner "no service" instead of showing the carrier name and its signal. I tried to contact my carrier but it seems to be everything fine, I even tried de microchip on my Ipad and it worked perfectly, so it should be a proclem with the phone.
I tried to reset the device, but nothing seems to work.
Anyone could help me on this, please!!!
    (excuse my lousy english, please!)

    1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
    2. If that doesn't work, use this article for troubleshooting: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398
    3. If that doesn't solve the issue, backup the device and restore it as new.
    In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions
If you restore your iPhone to factory settings without a backup and still can't detect/connect to any network, you should offer the device for service.
    Good luck

  • I have an iPod touch 4th gen 8 gb and ever since I got the iOS 6 update it has been slower and there appears to be less space and I am getting really frustrated any chance I can upgrade to the new 5 gen?

Ever since i got ios 6 it has been a slower and it says i only have 2 gb left when i have10 app and 0 songs. I got this iPod a few years ago so the warranty has already expired. Please if there is any way I can upgrade let me know.

    Try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. Sometimes when you update and do other things files will be corrupted and make the "other" category large. Restoring from backup usually reduce the other .
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

I updated my 4S phone to IOS 7.1.2 and lost my wi-fi.   The wi-fi is on, but can't find ANY networks.   I have been through all the steps, from turning the phone on and off, resetting the network settings, resetting the whole phone, redownloading 7.1.2 and lastly going to the Apple store for help.   They tried all the exact same steps I did, took the phone apart and looked at and said it is in "pristine" condition.   They have no idea why it isn't working, but they could offer to sell me another phone.    This is extremely annoying!    They claim it has nothing to do with the update to 7.1.2, but that is when I lost the wi-fi, so it has to be related!

My 4s i-phone which is 2 years old cannot find any wi-fi networks not even my home network... I had the same problem two months ago but i turned off the i-phone for 8 hours and then it was okay... Now it happened again.... I tried to restart the modem but whilst my laptop is connected regularly, my phone still cannot find any wi-fi networks... I restart the i-phone, i reset it, i chose reset network settings, reset all settings, i turned it off for a whole day in case it was overloaded, i turned on the airplane mode and turned it off again, i put it into the freezer for 10 minutes within a zipped bag but 3 days now and i still cannot be connected to my home wifi... I went to the technician today and he told me that it means that wi-fi is broken and that i need to change it with a charge of 70 euro but i have to give my phone for 10 working days so as to be fixed... I am so frustrated and i don't know if i want to give 70 euro for wifi since i don't know if it would make the same problems again...
