  • IPod iTunes won't sync with computer iTunes - please help

    Hi,
I recently purchased an album on iTunes wireless (Maroon 5 - highly recommended) and when I connected my iPod to iTunes to sync the songs did not transfer to my computer's iTunes. Nothing happened basically.
I've read the manual that says that they should sync automatically but nothing that I've tried works.
My setting is for manual sync and transfer of songs and I would really like to keep it like that since I don't want all my iTunes library to be dumped into my newly purchased iPod Touch. PLEASE HELP
    Thanks,
    Tal

If you manually manage your music it won't automatically sync your Maroon 5. Connect the Touch, right click on it in the Source frame under devices, then select transfer purchases.

  • How do I get my Ipod to show up in "My Computer"?  Please help!

I would really, really appreciate help. I'm trying to transfer my music from my old computer to my new, but I have to get the IPOD icon to show up in "My Computer". What do I do to get it to show up? I've tried reconnecting and waiting several times!

The iPod Touch does not have a "Disk Mode" like you would see with the other iPod models.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

  • Ipod touch built-in speakers wont work anymore. please help

Like I said my ipod touch built in speakers wont work now yesterday I was able to hear and use them when I was using the pianist app from the itunes store and it worked fine and today I redownloaded the digidrummer lite app since my old one for some reason didnt work and once I did download the app I synced to my ipod and tried to play and noticed that no sound came out so I tried other apps and also my music and also no sound. with headphones connected it works fine sound comes out and all.

K, so last night I tried the home+sleep/wake button hold thing and reset it that way and also just normal shutoffs which didnt fix it and also tried the ideas that you guys said and no go. everynow and then it would make the sound when I unlock it. so i just left it on and let the battery die see if that would do something it got to 10% and shuts off i guess so then i charged it on my stereo system with an ipod dock and was listening to music then i disconected it and to my suprise it started playing through the internal speakers again. I was skeptical at first so I turned it off and tried again it worked. so i went to the app that I think caused the problem in the first place called digidrummer lite I was able to hear the drums tom toms etc went to the home menu tried again played that app once more but this time there was no sound. I went to my music and everynow and then it would play but fade out or not play at all. so I took digidrummer off and so far the speakers are working again but I will still need to test them more.

  • I updated my ipod on my computer to the ios 5 and it updated but all of the music, movies, and apps were cleared off. I cannot put any of it back on please help! :(

I updated my ipod on my computer to the ios 5.1.1 and it updated but all of the music, movies, and apps were cleared off. I cannot put any of it back on please help!

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

  • Ipod cannot be Read from or written to...help

so i have a brand new just out of the box ipod shuffle, i tried to sync it on itunes, syncing takes forever and i get a message that says "the ipod cannot be read from or written to" , I've read some other discussions and i think that my ipod is automatically syncing whenever i plug it in, not giving me enough time to put my songs on it, and then itunes thinks its disconnected by that time. Please help, ive already tried to reinstall itunes, but it did not work

    Hi confusedguy,
Have you seen the suggestions from these two articles, regarding that error message you are getting?
"Disk cannot be read from or written to" when syncing iPod
iTunes displays a -50 error or "Disk cannot be read from or written to" when syncing iPod

  • IMac, 10.9.4, 'drive cannot be read by this computer' message

Just installed Mavericks. 10.9.4. Older WD FW drives--no problems.
New WD USB drives-- messages at startup: 'this drive cannot be read by this computer'
i can click either Eject or Ignore. If I hit Ignore, the drives mount and appear to be normal
and I can copy files to them. At least until they eject themselves. I've followed the other threads about the ejecting
drives, but have not seen anything re these messages I get at startup. What can I do to fix this?

Found a fix for two of the new drives:
    Deleted MacKeeper
Deleted all WD files, downloaded WD's Support for Drivers, supposed to help with Mavericks, then deleted it
    Reformated both drives
After checking my new WD 4 T drive in Disk Utility and finding either drive was ok or it was damaged and couldn't be repaired, I decide to erase and reformat. Totally surprised to see that the original format was FAT. I reformatted to Mac, extended journaled, and so far I can copy files to the drive easily and much faster than before.
Feel really unintelligent for not confirming the format first!  I'm usually way more competent than that!
No wonder the drive couldn't be read by my iMac.

Once I downloaded the new IOS 5.0 I've lost all of my photos that were stored on my PC, and I no longer have access to them on the IPOD.  Cannot figure out what has happened.  Please help.

Thanks lllaass, but I am not computer literate and do not understand exactly what it is I am supposed to do.  All of my photos were stored on Microsoft Windows Live Photo Gallery.  When I now access the gallery the only thing that is there are the folders with the title of the folders.  The pictures that were in those folders are now gone. I can no longer access them on my IPOD either.  My photo library on my IPOD is now empty.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • No IPOD will restore on my computer..PLEASE HELP

NO IPOD will not restore on my PC.
Please help…I have tried everything and cannot restore or even use my IPOD on my DELL XPS using Vista…
I have already gone through 4 different IPODs (mini, shuffle, IPOD classic, IPOD Video) and each time I corrupt it or it fails to work. Most recently I had to ship an IPOD back for replacement and am loosing confident in the product..
Most recently I received my newly replaced 30GB Video from the factory. I plugged it in and got the message that I needed to RESTORE the IPOD. I did this initially and it seemed to operate flawlessly. I loaded music on it and then ejected it using the eject button next to the IPOD. I went to access my music/videos and then see that it is once again an empty IPOD. I then hook it back up and get the message that I need to RESTORE my IPOD. So I go through the whole process again. This time it will never restore and continues in an endless cycle of restoring the IPOD over and over again. This time it also displays the message on the IPOD screen that I need to hook my IPOD to a computer and RETORE it…
I was so frustrated with my PC that I hooked the IPOD to another PC to RESTORE it. Surprisingly it restored with no issues. I then hooked it to my CP and went through the whole nut roll again. I have erased ITUNEs and reloaded, emptied the TEMP folder, and reloaded ITUNEs. It is still doing the same thing. What is the problem? Please help!!!

HOw do I unlock my daughters iPod touch with no computer? Please help me!

If she set up Find My iPod on it before this happened, follow the instructions listed under "If you don't have access to a computer" here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.  Otherwise, you would have to use a computer to restore it by following one of the other two solutions listed at the bottom of the article.

After i Updated itunes al my ipod apps including safari and music, photos and all of them went away and i cannot do anything on it anymore please help?

    - Try a reset. Nothing is lost:
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Can you find the apps using the Spotlight search on the iPod? Maybe you just can't find them
    - If you can find them you can reset the screen layout by go to Settings>Genera.Reset>?Reset Screen Layout.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
