my ipod classic 160gb stopped playing and has a lock at the top of it. none of the functions work and it won't sinc to itunes. my computer doesn't recognize it and showed a message of "windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (code 43)". any suggestions?

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:

paying special attention to item #5
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

ITunes has stopped working and has to close message on Win 7

When I plug my phone into the computer iTunes starts to open and then I get an error message that states iTunes has stopped working and has to close. This seems to only happen while at work and not at home

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

My card was working fine until i tried to update my drivers today. Now, no matter what version driver I attempt to install I get the error message "Killap

exe has stopped working and has been closed." when it begins to install the drivers. I've attempted the beta driver, the latest stable driver, and even installing the drivers off the disk. I even tried using system restore to go back to before I attempted my first update today, only to have system restore fail!? I have an X-Fi Fatalty Champion card, and am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit. Now that this has occured, I'm stuck without sound. Before you even ask, yes, I'm using the disk labled for vista that came with my card. Window's built in sound drivers (which worked when i first plugged in the card before I even installed the software a few months ago), dont even attempt to kick in. Help? Please?!

I was having the same problem. Earlier in the week, I was able to drag a few photos to the upload folder and they synced correctly. Yesteday, I dragged different photos, and I got the "applephotostream.exe has stopped working" error.
The solution - for me, at least! - was to reduce the size of the pictures being uploaded to the photostream. While all of the pictures were jpegs, the first set were ca. 800K (3800 x 2500), and the second set were ca. 2.5 MB (4000 x 2000). When I reduced the resolution of the last set by a factor of 4 (ca. 600 K, 2000 x 1500), they uploaded without a hitch.
Based on this admittedly sketchy experiment, it looks like Apple has a max picture size limit, apparently based on file size rather than picture resolution). Perhaps < 1 MB? To be rigorous, I should complete the experiment - leave the resolution of the second set of pictures alone and reduce file size by reducing jpeg quality.
Has anyone heard about a picture file size limit?

Hi, I have a problem with my driver display....
I installed the Autocad program , and after 2 weeks, every time that I open the Autocad, after 4 or maybe 5 min. the screen goes black and after that a note shows up saying: Driver display stopped working and has recovered. I Try to update everything using the Hp support assistance and still i have the same issue. I don't know much about the computer and the driver so I will appreciate if somebody give me a solution. To further diagnose this issue, I recommend following the steps in this document on "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error in Windows 7 or Windows Vista. This should help prevent the GPU on your computer from timing out.

Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<
So, could you, apple developers, please, explain WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT?!!!!!! FIX IT! I am getting ****** of to spend hours at the computer and reading those lame advises which do not help at all! I have my own things to do except reading your support websites. after connecting my iPod classic 160GB to computer with Windows Vista I can see it in My Computer but can't access it. In iTunes 10 it not appear and every access via My Computer takes many time. After disconecting iPod is restarting by itself...
But iPod itself is working - a little laggy, but working. One thing changes: about 80GB free space disappear and iPod tells me that only 153KB is free...
I suppose disk failure - how can I access it and repair?

Everything that was on your classic should also have been in your library, and that backed up to another drive. If you manually managed the device, and it was the only location holding your media, and it has become corrupted, there really isn't much hope. See Corrupt iPod classic. There may be a slim chance to recover media stored on it via disc mode if is isn't stored elsewhere, but if it won't mount, or has been reformatted, then the moment has probably passed.

There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or account.
You might want to create a seperate iTunes library for him, perhaps on another user account on the system and move all of his Jazz music over to that new library. Once you have all of his music moved over to his own library, remove it from your own and then resync both of your iPods to clear his music off. This is just one way to do it.

I have tried downloading Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 3 times now. It downloads fine. Then after I try to open it and it loads the screen but then a box pops up and says "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working" and then makes me close the program.

iPod won't turn on
If the iPod is still under Apple's 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects, Apple may swap it out for you at no cost if they don't conclude the issue to be the result of abuse or accidental damage. If you have an Apple Store nearby schedule an appointment with them and show them what you are experiencing.
