My iPod completely freaked out...

Last week, my iPod froze up on me a couple times. The first time, i was able to fix it... sort of. When I went to listen to it again, it froze after a few songs. Since then, i've tried a bunch of things on the support pages here, but nothing was working.
I've apparantly restored my iPod, as there is no longer music loaded onto it. I was having a problem w/ my iTunes reading my iPod, so i re-installed iTunes and all that fun stuff, and it seems to be working... for now.
The problem right now is, when i went to put my music back on, my iPod shows as having 22GB of space being used up aleady, but there is no music back on there yet.

I ended up just unplugging the iPod, and when i tried to plug it in again, Windows recognizes it, but not iTunes.
I still have a few days left until my 1 year waranty is up (i think) so i might just try to send it in to get repaired. any advice on that?

My ipod is having a completely blank white screen. It started to be pixelated, like a staticy tv. Then it is white, and wont lock, wont exit out,and neither button helps. What do I do?

Hello,
Try reseting your device by holding down both the home button and the power button for 10 seconds.
Your device should then reboot without erasing any data.
If that does not work, then you may have to put the device into recovery mode.
That should do it.

IPod completely blanks out!!

My iPod Nano that I got in 2007 has been working completely fine until today, when I went to turn it on and nothing happened. I plugged it into the computer, which wouldnt regonize it at first, then after about 10 minutes told me that my iPod had been corrupted and needed to be reformatted. I clicked to reformat it, but it did nothing...any help??

Why is my ipod touch freaking out! tapping on its own

My ipod is randomaly opeing stuff in the application i am on like i was on safari it was going back and opening article on its own. has any one encountered this before i think its rare. It just taps on its own. I have done restore reset everything its definitly hardware. Has anyone fixed this by replacing the digitizer. Or is it somthing more serious.

Tap Settings / Safari. Clear the History, Cookies, and Cache.
Restart your iPod. Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPod touch. To turn iPod touch back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If that didn't make a difference, restore the iPod as new.

Could be one of the third party apps is causing the erratic behavior.
After you restore as new re sync 5 apps at a time, then test the iPod.

My Mac just completely freaked out...

I'm really concerned about what just happened to my Mac mini. It was playing music with iTunes open on my main monitor and Safari with a single tab open on my secondary monitor. Suddenly, seemingly random lines of different colors streamed across the windows, the music stopped, and my mac emitted a high pitched beeping at an equal interval. The Mac wouldn't respond to any input, I had to power it off by holding the power button down. (Mac mini 2010)
I'm not sure if anyone could help, but if you think you can please try, or if you've had the problem too. I can't think of what could have caused it, but here are some ideas:
-Switched from 2 GB RAM to 8 GB last week, specs matched exactly, installed myself, was working fine
-I am running the Messages beta
-I recently updated the firmware and OS X Lion
If I think of anything else I'll try to add it to my list. If anyone has any ideas, please help me out. It's running fine now, but I really want to make sure I don't have a serious problem with my Mac.

Everything seems fine so far today (knock on wood) but it did it three times yesterday. My Mac does get a little hot too, so maybe it's an overheat? I got my Mac refurbished, but it is out of warranty now. Of course, a single-instance charge would be worth it for something like this. I'll call Apple when I get the chance.

Help! my ipod is freaking out!

I dropped my ipod, and it stopped playing music and the screen went blank white. I pressed and held the Menu and the Center buttons, but the screen just went black, and the Apple logo never came up. When I plugged it into my laptop, it beeped 3 times, and iTunes "couldn't recognize" it. It told me to restore it to factory settings, so I did but once it was done restoring, it said it couldn't recognize it and once again told me to restore it. I restored it again, but it just kept telling me it couldn't recognize my ipod, and it would need to be restored. I don't know what to do! Can my ipod be saved, or should I pronouce it dead, and replace it?

this has happened to me before- Plug your ipod into the usb cord and plug it into your computer- follow the instructions that itunes gives you. If it doent work try pluging it into the charger and holding the lock botton

HELP: My Zen Sleek completely freaked out

okay, i have had this zen for a while the buttons stoped working, the play, stop, move up or down, or the up one level buttons don't work. the scroll bar doesnt work either. It will turn on, but the screen will be stuck on the last song i was listening to before it went into the coma. any advise is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to reset the player? I am not familiar with the Zen Sleek, but it should have a reset button on it

Where did my iDisk go? I'm freaking out, here.

I just updated to Lion (which I wish I Knew would make my Photoshop and Office obsolete, by the way) and now my iDisk is gone, along with all of my files. I put all of my documents on there and I need them. Are they gone forever? I'm completely freaking out.

My Ipod touch is freaking out!

This just started happening about a week ago...it seems to be ok when you first turn it on, but after a few moments..it freaks out. For instance, my keyboards--with whatever app, beit email or notes or a game..I try to type a letter--it types everything BUT that letter. And none of the erase buttons work to go back. On the Music--I keep trying to go to Playlists and it keeps flipping to Artists and pursues its own songs! Sometimes I don't even have to touch the Ipod--I just get my finger near it and it picks up the button it thinks I'm trying to touch and goes to whereever! It's like its possessed! It will cut in the middle or beginning of a song and go to whatever other song. It's not on shuffle or genious or whatever...I did a full reset by holding down the two buttons, but that only temporary fixes it. I can't type anything on it because it presses its own letters uncontrollably. Please help..this is a brand new Ipod I just got for Christmas. I didn't get it wet, I've been very careful with it. I do not want a refurb! I have lots of stuff on this 32G! :((

I dropped my ipod touch 4g(black) on the floor at chipotles(concrete) freaking out!!

ok so i dropped my ipod on concrete and now there is a dent beside the screen on the lower sound button when i use my ipod it has this huge black speckly blob by the dent and everything is extremely white it is possible to use it but very annoying and the left side of the screen if i use an app then it fades slowly if i type or try to do something so i can kinda read the right side of the screen but it is very hard i tried white on black and black on white which helped a bit i could see the screen a itsy bitsy bit better. but i am still extremely dramatized cause it took me half a year to earn it and took half a second to fall out of my coat and break. the screen is not cracked and the only outside appearence is the dent and if you look closely when it is off you can see the blob slightly , the blob kinda looks like well around the edges at least kinda like those oil things in puddles how its rainbowy shiny what ever but please help.also i tried restarting it and every else i can think of.

GOD i did pretty much the same think , idropped mine on a chair nd it dented on the lower volume button and at first there was this crack on the screen like a smurf punched the volume button nd left a crater. After i touched the crack a little bit freaking out, the whole screen went white with a small black spot( like the one on yours, but ALOT smaller) after a little while , like 10 min in my pocket, i could see the top of the screen normally(enough to see the time and date while its locked, but the spot is still there nd the rest of the screen is really white. i can make out things easier on the right side, but everything on the left is bright and distorted as if the loer part of the screen was cut in half nd the left side slid down.
But anyways i dont think we can fix this , ive tried pushing out the dent nd now my ipod just has seisures( the screen flashes like a strobe light as it goes from white and distorted to normal nd back)
Might just hav to pay the $99 for apple to replace/repair it

Figured I'd post on here first before I freak out completely.

I decided that I was going to back up my Phone, but first I thought I would go ahead and import all of my recent photos to Iphoto. So I Clicked on the app, waited for it to open, and it opens with an Error: "your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable"
So I did a quick google search on how to resolve this problem, and figured that I could press and hold Option and Command while opening Iphotos to attempt to repair or rebuild the database, So I did just that, but of course it didn't work. I then searched on google again and found out about the library fixer thing, the library manager or whatever. So I downloaded that, and I was happy to find nearly all of my photos on there, but, some of them had a triangle on the thumbnail and the photo would not be displayed, I find this extremely UNACCEPTABLE!
Is there an easy fix for this?! I mean, I really don't want to start freaking out over this, I have so many photos I really can't afford to lose, and if I lose these photos I will be greatly devastated and ****** off at apple for this ****** thing that's happening to me right now.

When you rebuild your iPhoto Library with iPhoto Library Manager, did you enable the checkbox "Scavange orphaned photos"? If not, try again with this checkbox enabled. This will collect orphaned photos in a separate event.

I AM FREAKING OUT RIGHTNOW I HATE MY FREAKING IPOD

i followed all the steps to put my songs on my ipod so that i could put them on to my new computer. then 1083 of my songs say tehres a problem with their files. but i didnt buy the songs or anything they're from CDs.
and i am freaking out right now because i dont want to put all the songs back on, it took forever to do it the first time

Songs that you ripped from a CD won't sync from an iPod back to a computer. It's not a flaw, it's the way it is. I suppose it's to prevent distribution of music. Anyway, there are quite a few programs that can help you accomplish your goal. I don't know whether you are using Mac or PC but for Mac there is a program called iPodRip and there are similar programs available for PC. Most are freeware or inexpensive shareware programs and the place I would recommend finding them is VersionTracker.com. Let us know how it goes.

You forgot your password? Do as the manual says and restore. If you are unable to restore then type "unable to restore" into the search bar at the top of this page by Support and read the resulting help articles.

Uhm. i plugged in my i-pod touch and all of the songs are completely wiped out it was over 80$ of songs. and i cannot find them on i-tunes seriously.

And i did and it was done and then i looked in my song libary on my ipod and it was completely wiped out. but all of my 617 photos were still there. and i looked for my songs on itunes and i have to buy them! There were at least 80$ worth of songs. how do i get them back?

If you are in the USA you can use the iCloud beta. See:

Otherwise you will have to contact iTunes and they MAY allow a redownload. But note that Apple clearly states that you get one download and it is up to you to back it up.
