My iPod does not update Podcasts correctly

I have a 4th generation iPod that supports podcasts, but whenever I update my iPod, the podcasts go into my music library and not the podcast directory. How could I fix this? Also, I deleted a podcast totally off my computer, and it still remains on my iPod even when I updated. The podcast refuses to remove itself from my iPod. Is there any way I could solve these problems? (I know I also have another post on this, but nobody has answered my other post. It's also been a couple days since it went up)

Yay. Thank you King Cole. You brought a problem to my attention which I just fixed, and it helped me fix another problem too. Here's my procedure for what I did -
1) I opened the iPod Updater.
2)I got an internal manager error.
3)Updated my iTunes 6.00.18 software to the new 6.1.3
4)Reinstalled iTunes Updater Software 10-12-05
5)Reset iPod to factory settings
6)Reloaded iPod
Not only did the Manager error get corrected, but my podcasts were placed in the correct directory and the Fox Broadcasting podcast that I had deleted a long time ago has been removed from my iPod.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IPod does not update purchased music properly

We have been having an ongoing problem with music that is purchased on ITunes. After downloading the music from the Itunes music store, we try to upload it to the Ipod. It does not upload and I end up having to completely reinstall both ITunes and Ipod software as well as do a complete restore to make it work again. I would like to avoid this. Does anyone have any suggestions? It is possible that I have two IDs floating around out there as a result of the reinstalls that make that make the Itunes music and the Ipod unable to sync with each other? That's only a thought and I don't know where I would check this..

Here are the reasons that some files in your iTunes library may not be sent to your iPod:
    Software needs to be updated
Download the latest version of the iPod Updater and then update the iPod.
After the update is complete, download and install the latest version of iTunes.
iPod can't play the type of file
If you're not sure what file types iPod can play, click here.
    Media file can't be found
Double-click the song in your library and show iTunes where it is.
Media file not authorized to play on your computer
Double-click the media file in your library and enter your account name and password.
    Too many accounts
There is already content from five other iTunes Music Store accounts on the iPod.
The latest version of iTunes explains most of the reasons why some files aren't sent to the iPod. Get the latest version of iTunes here.
If you are getting no message explaining why specific content is not being sent to your iPod, you may need to reset warnings on your iPod.

  • Itunes does not update podcasts mac

My itunes no longer updates podcasts.  Last successful update was 7/14/14 for one podcast and 7/11/14 for others  v. 11.3 (54).  Clicking on the ! does not work.  In some cases it freezes iTunes.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Unfortunately it did not work out. It downloads the file and then after a while "processing the file" and the it gives the message "timed out make sure you're connected to internet"

  • Change in Responsible Org Unit does not update Project Correctly

    Hi Gurus
    I set-up a Project in cProjects and Released/Transferred.
The Project was visible in SAP PS, etc.
Then I went back into cProjects and modified the Responsible Org Unit to another of our Org Units which has a differing Profit Center.
When I view this Project in CJ20N. The Project Definition still carries the Original Profit Center, not the new one.
However when I view all of the WBS Elements these all have the new Profit Center.
Does anyone know how I can get the Project Definition to also update correctly?
    Many Thanks in advance
    Panduranga

    Hi Virendra
I'm very new to PS & cProjects as I come from a CRM background.
How would this substitution be done?
    Thanks

  • My ipod does not update from version 4.1.2 to 5.0 as I do? mine ipod is 3g

because my ipod third generation did not upgrade from 4.2 to 5.0? says that version 4.2 is the most updated!

I suspect you really have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1  If yours is an 8 or 16 GB one it is a 2G since Apple only made 32 and 64 GB 3G iPod.  A 32 GB one can be either.  To identify yours:

  • Problems while installing = Ipod does not update

I recently tried upgrading my version of itunes but while it was downloading the program froze and I had to close it. After I unplugged my Nano I realized that all the songs on my ipod were erased, but still in my library. The simple solution seems to plug in the ipod and let it update again.
The problem I encounter here is that the computer doesn't read the ipod or something and I cannot update.
I have tried going to file->update ipod but it cannot be clicked on.
I have also tried updating a new version of itunes but the program starts to download and then tells me that I already have a version of itunes on the computer, and the install fails.
Help!! Is there a way for me to fix this problem without completely restoring my itunes and losing all my music files??

  • Ipod will not update even though itunes shows that copying is complete

    Good morning all,
Today I purchased an album from itunes and tried to copy it to my ipod. I have the manual set up where the ipod does not update automatically. Today as soon as I connected the ipod to the pc and itunes opened I saw in the display "ipod is updating do not disconnect". This was not supposed to happen since my settings are to manually update the ipod. Then I manually copied the new album, I saw that it was copying and checked the ipod and saw the music there. But as soon as I disconnected the ipod the music had not copied. any feedback will be appreciated.

  • ILife 06 update now iPod does not sync

    Folks,
agter upgrading to iLife 06 the update of my iPod does not work. I get the message that iTunes cannot write or read to this disk.
I had iTunes 6.02 before the update and everything worked fine.
IPod is an 60GB photo with newesr firmware.
    Thanks
    Oliver

You may have an Ownership & Permissions problem on your iPod.
Select your iPod on the desktop and Get Info (command-I).
Set the permissions to 'You can Read & Write'. Expand 'Details:' and click 'Apply to enclosed items...'.
Tick the checkbox 'Ignore ownership on this volume'.
If your iPod does not show up on the desktop, you have to 'Enable disk use' in Prefernces>iPod (iTunes preferences)
    Hope this helps.

  • TS1369 The article on what to do if Ipod not found by iTunes does not offer the correct solution....

I had this problem with two different iPod nano's that I bought for my kids.
The iPods would not be recognized by iTunes. They would throw an error message about how the ipod was not being recognized correctly. It was computer specific, since they were recognized by other computers in my house. All other USB devices worked fine on the PC the nanos were not working on.
After wasting hours following the instructions that came up with the link (reinstall itunes, run trouble shooter, etc etc), I finally determined that the actual apple driver was not loading, in that it was not showing up in device manager.
So, I clicked on the USB device that was showing a yellow exclamation mark, told it to update its driver and I had a disk, pointed it to common, apple, drivers, and voila a different ipod "device" showed up in device manager. After rebooting, everything was fine.
The steps to resolve this type of issue should include this approach as well...near the top, to head off others from the hours of annoyance I experienced.

    - Did you try everything here:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - Tried another cable?
    - Tried another computer?
If still problem time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
