where is the photo tab in itunes? it doesn't appear in the itunes sidebar, I am trying to remove photos from my ipad by restricting them from appearing after synch.

I was struggling with this too - but seem to have found the issue.  It appears the photo synch option in iTunes isn't available unless the photos are out of synch.
    This is incorrect.
The Photos tab is always available when you have your iDevice connected.
First open iPhoto, move the photos you want to get rid of to the trash, then close iPhoto.
No one seems to want to delete the photos from iPhoto/computer.
They just don’t want them to sync to the iPad.

  • IPhone 4 doesn't appear in the portable device list of windows 7

    Hi there,
My iPhone used to appear in the portable device list in windows 7, so I was able to open iPhone in Explorer and copy the photos from the camera roll.
In iTunes, when asked to update it, a problem occurred when installing QuickTime. I had to unistall iTunes+QuickTime and download the last version from Apple website. Installing was performed Ok but since then the iPhone doesn't appear in the portable device list anymore.
I tried to restart the service, to re-install it, but nothing.
Is there any other way to copy the photos from the camera roll?
Anyone please could give me any help?
    Thanks in advance.

No dice. See my comment above; I already turned that on before posting.
To get your device to appear in iTunes and to automatically sync with iTunes, simply disable backup to iCloud on your iOS device. Voila! Your iOS device will appear in iTunes and auto-sync the selected content. For example, I'm now subscribing to a ton of podcasts that I used to manually download one-by-one b/c the tethered syncing process was just too painful. Now that my iPhone 4S appears as an always-connected device in iTunes, the latest versions of my podcasts shall auotmatically appear on the iPhone when I awake in the morning before my long commute to work.

  • I purchased an app and it doesn't appear in my iTunes app list. How do I get it to appear?

I purchased an app and it doesn't appear in my iTunes app list when synced. Where can I find it? How do I get it available for my other iphone and my ipad?

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so if you download it again then you will be charged - I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them that are requiring the one-time only download.
Is it still on the device that you downloaded it on (if it was on your iPhone then it should be in the Music app), or do you have a copy on your computer and/or on a backup ? If not then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • IPod doesn't appear in the finder nor on the desktop when connected

    Hi,
My iPod touch 2nd gen doesn't appear in the finder nor on the desktop when connected, is it normal maybe because its a flash drive and not a harddrive, I don't know...
By the way, everything is normal with iPhoto and iTunes.
    Sincerely

The Touch and iPhone do not have disk mode, that is why you can't see it.

  • My ipod doesn't appear with the letters that split up each letter songs, how do i fix it??

so you know how when you go to music and tap songs. well mine does that but what does not appear on the screen is those letters that divide each letter group of the alphabet. you know it has all the songs starting with the letter a in one place divided by a border letter "A" etc. please help i think its a settings problem not sure, thanks.

If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • My ipod is recognised in my computer but not in the itunes source list

    Please Help.
I got my ipod (20gb) as a Christmas present last year. It is now 11 months old. I havent had many problems with it but recently one has arisen.
I connected my ipod to my windows computer. It displayed 'Do not disconnect'. After waiting for about 2 minutes i realised that itunes had not recognised my ipod. I disconnected it and connected it again. The same thing happened. I checked 'my computer' and saw that the ipod had been recognised, i asume (hopefully correctly) that my ipod is not faulty.
I visited the apple website and went on their support page where i tryed everything that it advised at leat 3 times. I am well and truly stuck.
I am only 14 and was a bit shocked at the £35 i would have to pay to ask apple for help. I therefore hoped that some nice people on the discussion forum might help.
I have helped people before as i am usually quite efficient when it comes to using a computer.
Please help, It would be much appreciated
Im posting this on a Friday night so have a nice weekend.

Try Resetting Your iPod while it's connected to the computer.
Hold down the Menu and Select buttons until you see the Apple logo (or Menu & Play/Pause in older models).
This will often get it recognized. It may take several attempts.
Also try this (and the other suggestions below) from any other USB port you may have on the PC. Sometimes switching USB ports can make all the difference.
If that doesn't work, Put Your iPod into Disk Mode then plug it in and you should be able to Restore the iPod

  • Finding "iPod" on the iTunes Source list

Sometimes when I view the Source list on iTunes (at the left of the entry screen) I see IPod and I can drag tunes from the iTunes Library to the iPod. But other times I do not see the "iPod" entry on the list. Often (maybe always?) if I disconnect the iPod from the pc, the "iPod" listing returns. _
Why is that happening? Surely there must be a better way to restore the "i{pd" listing than disconnecting and reconnecting the cable? Help. please.

  • "Simply drag the files onto the Library icon in the iTunes Source list"

Would someone tell me how this is "simply" done? Thanks.

I have tried to move the songs numerous times this way and it doesnt work. Separately oddly enough also, songs that I deleted from the itunes music folder on my computer still show up in my Shared folder in itunes. Guess no "refresh" functionality.

  • Itunes will open, but my ipod doesn't appear on the screen

i plug my ipod in and itunes pops up, my my ipod stuff doesn't! i wait for a bit, but my ipod is kind of frozen and it doesn't have that little sync icon in the corner. i disconect it and try to turn it off, but its frozen, so i leave it overnight and its all normal again. why does it happen?

You might try resetting the iPod. If that doesn't help, you might need to restore it. See:

    Hope this helps.
