My Ipod doesn't sync photos

When I try to sync photos, I locate the folder with my photos. select the folders I want synced, press apply, it says "syncing ipod" and goes through the photo's like it is syncing, then after a few minutes is says "sync complete", but there is no photo's on my ipod.
I may be missing something quit simple.

Had some similar problems syncing photos with a brand new iPod Nano. I've not figured it out completely yet, but I tried the following with some success:
- shut off iTunes
- delete the "iPod Photo Cache" folder (this will be inside the folder that you set up the iPod to synch photos with)
- remove all the photos from the folder
- start iTunes and sync the empty folder with the iPod
- shut off iTunes
- add a photo to the folder
- turn on iTune again, go to the iPod Photo Tab and use the button there to synch
That at least got the photo into the iPod. So far, one photo worked, the other came in but had a green bar through the middle. If I figure more out, I will post it. For me it seems to be something to do with whether or not iTunes starts off with a clean folder first off or not.
Note: I've tried this with pre-shrinked photos and full size photos. Nothing about the photo seems to matter.
P.S. After doing the above, I seem to be able to add a photo to that folder while iTunes is on and then just re-sync and it works.

  • IPod doesn't sync with iTunes anymore!! HELP!!

I am in complete despair - my iPod doesn't sync with iTunes anymore. It all started a couple of days ago, after installing the latest updates of both, iTunes and iPod. After that, I noticed that the iPod wasn't synching the changes and new additions I had made in iTunes.
I tried everything so far with no success. I did reset the iPOd, reinstalled the iPod updater, than did a RESTORE and now my iPod is completely empty, but refuses to download my music from iTunes.
When connected, it shows up, start "updating iPod" and several seconds later shows "update complete". In the iPod window I can all the songs (in grey) from my library, but they are not being transferred to my iPod!!!
    Please, help!!

I think I know the problem and it's solution. The iPod "thinks" it's linked to a different library and therefore does not synchronize. No idea what happens in the background there, but here is what I did:
First, I went back to the previous update on the iPod (not sure if that's necessary at all, but I just wanted to go to where I started from.
The UNinstalled iTunes (to be safe I backed up my tunes) and reinstalled it. Then pasted backed up tunes into new iTunes music folder and overwrote newly created iTunes library files.
Then I connected the iPod, which now told me that I had an old version and needed to update, which I did.
Then a window popped up and told me that my iPod was connected to a different library and if I want to connect to this one, overwriting everything on the iPod, which I said yes to (it didn't matter anyway, since it was now empty after the RESTORE I had done).
iPod then downloaded all the songs from my library again and we are as happy together as we've been before
I think what happened was that after installing the latest update, that window with the "different library connection" had popped up as well and I must have clicked NO because of the "overwrite" comment which scared me. Unfortunately, even with "reset warnings" it then never popped up again and until I reinstalled iTunes.
    Hope this helps!

    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPod doesn't upload photos to Instagram or anything to Facebook, what's wrong? What should I do? • New 5G iPod won't sync photos or video.

    Hi,
I recieved a brand new iPod today and I attempted to sync it to my PowerBook. However, it kept freezing at certain songs, so in the end, I had to stop syncing every 100 or so songs and then restart syncing as to avoid freezes. This was after my entire library vanished and I had to reimport it all. Finally after 2 hours and 45 minutes I managed to get all my music on it. But... now I keep getting error messages when I try to sync photos and videos. The error message reads:
'The iPod "iPod" cannot be updated. An unknown error has occured (-208)."
I have tried reinstalling iTunes but no luck. I don't want to restore my iPod just yet because all the music is playing fine and I can still add/remove songs manually, but not automatically update. Plus I haven't either the time or energy to sit restarting and unplugging my iPod.
Is this simply a software issue, because the iPod is fine, it plays songs and can act as a hard drive for movie files, but just not upload video or photos that I can view on the iPod. This is even more stressful considering Apple lost my last iPod when I sent it in for battery issues, and I only recieved this new 5G iPod today after two whole months of waiting and hold music! If anyone can help me on this issue, it would be very, very much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Paul

I have the same exact problem. I was on the phone with Apple for 8 hours and various people trying to solve this issue. Thing is, it will accept photos and videos from my old G4 iMac. (USB 1.1). It will not work with USB 2.0, or my new computer for that matter. If you open iTunes > Preferences > iPod -- then look at the tabs. There is no Photo or Video tab.. on my G4 those tabs are present, and videos/photos sync & copy just fine. Apple needs to hurry up and fix this... quite annoying. For now, I will have to use my older apple to get things going. Hope this helps.
Edit: By the way, I am using the newest version of iPod Updater (which doesn't work either), and iTunes 6.0.1 -- and if you do call apple for help, don't restore your ipod, it won't help anything... you'll just lose all your hours of work...

  • IPod doesn't sync with iTunes at all...

I'm having trouble with my iPod is because it does not sync with the computer. I assume the iPod doesn't recognize it somehow. I've tried to manually manage music and videos but when it told me to disconnect, the box was not checked. Awhile back, I deleted some music from the MY MUSIC folder, the folder was too full of music that it deleted all of my music, (including videos). My only concern is that my iPod has stopped syncing to the computer ever since this incident occurred. If you can, please share what needs to be done in order for my iPod to sync properly and gain all the songs and videos I had added after losing EVERYTHING Thank you.

  • My ipod doesn't sync

I added some new music to my itunes library and tried to sync it with my ipod touch but the song don't appear in my ipod touch. With my ipod shuffle it works perfectly but with the ipod touch it just doesn't sync and the songs aren't in my ipod. They are in the itunes library but they aren't in the ipod. I've already tried everything I unplugged and plugged the ipod I closed the itunes and opened it again I shut the ipod down and turned it on again and it still doesn't work. Also, some songs I had in my ipod are disappearing and I didn't delete them. Please help me!!! I wanna hear my new songs!

I've had always my music library really tight, I
mean, I have the artists, and their respective
albums, with their respective songs ordered in the
proper way as the original records.
I've never had a problem and everything worked
fine, until I installed Itunes 7.0: when I sync my
Ipod the songs aren't anymore like Itunes displays,
they are ordered and displayed from better to worst
sound quality (kbps), and I can no longer listen to
the records in their original order, making my Ipod
useless since I'm a big fan of prog rock, and many
albums are conceptual therefore there is a linear
story, I mean, there's a particular order in which
the artist wants their songs to be listened. I can't
listen to my music in the way it should be listened
thanks to Itunes 7.0... Please Help!!!

  • My iPod doesn't sync all my music! HELP! :(

Hello there! I happen to be having a couple of troubles with my iPod classic lately. The last one and the most miserable one is that last night when I added three new albums on my iTunes Library and then synced my iPod to copy them on it, I noticed that all my music has been reduced from 54gb to 19 gb!! I was and still am in schock because I dunno what happened! I've done like I usually do and got no error during the syncing process. I still have 54gb of music on my pc and iTunes even now, but my iPod won't sync for more than 2 minutes so it can't copy all the music on it.
I gotta mention that my iTunes is up to date, I've got a new perfectly working computer and my iPod is also pretty new (bought it earlier this year).
PLEASE HELP ME FOUND A SOLUTION TO THIS!!
P.S I'm going on a long enough road trip next week so my iPod breaking down right now is a complete nightmare
    THANKS!

My Suggestions, when syncing an iPod Classic on a Windows machine.
Disconnect your PC from Internet. (just to make sure no nasties creep into your system while you syncing.
    Stop the Antivirus program
    Disconnect all other USB Devices
Connect your iPod to the PC, using a high speed USB 2.0 port at the back of your PC. (if you are using a Desktop PC)
When iTunes Open up, Restore your iPod please, this is for iTunes to map correctly, to fix the corrupted filesystem. (if you have more than a few GB of Others)
When Restore complete, eject the iPod and reconnect again.
    Sync your iPod.
    Good Luck!

  • IPod won't sync photos and never stops syncing

60GB iPod Video. I recently updated to software version 1.2. I had tons of trouble with this update, so I did a restore. Now, I'm still running the same version, but at least it doesn't crash when looking at videos or podcasts now. However, after it syncs my music and goes to do photos, it just sits there syncing forever. No photos ever end up on the pod and I just have to eject it when it's time for me to go. I know the 1.2 update ***** baaaad, but does anyone have a workaround for this? Has Apple still not acknowledged tons of problems with the 1.2 update?
    Thanks everyone.

I had the same problem and deleted the casche. All worked ok. Then I had another problem, fixed that. However, my photos won't sync any more It just hangs. I deleted my cashe, but it don't help this time.
