Have you tried rebooting for the Mac and iPod to see if that helps? To reset the iPod, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
It wouldn't hurt to also try plugging the iPod into another USB port and use a different USB sync cable.

MacBook Pro doesnt start. When I start my lap top, it shows the apple and the line uploading but it only goes like to 1/3 and then it goes blank for some seconds, then it turns off by itself and turn on again and happen the same, apple logo, line .. the noise like-fan going on, then turn off and turn on again. My Iphone 4s is plugged in charging after it has fully died. Instead of the apple appearing and staying constant on the screen...the apple is blinking. What does this mean and how do I get the phone to charge/turn back on.

My 4th Generation 80GB iPod is alternating between the Apple logo & the low battery screen
My 4th Generation 80GB iPod isn't opening iTunes or otherwise being recognized when I connect it to my computer. Instead, it keeps alternating between the Apple logo & the "Please wait, very low battery" screen, even though I just charged it yesterday.
Any advice would be deeply appreciated, thanks!Shortly after this message was posted, this mysterious, annoying and quite upsetting issue occurred yet again. (The issue originally happened when I tried to plug my iPod into my Windows 7 notebook via the USB cord that came with the device.)
So I tried plugging it into the gadget for my car's cigarette lighter, therefore using a different cord. Sadly, the Apple logo and "very low battery" message reappeared and kept alternating. Same thing when I plugged in my headphones.
But I wasn't going to let that deter me from trying again. The next stop consisted of plugging it into someone else's MacBook Pro. Wouldn't you know, suddenly my iPod was functioning again! The screen lit up with that lovely "Do not disconnect" message and iTunes launched. (Maybe it needed some Apple-on-Apple love?) Furthermore, my iPod now works with my Windows notebook again — along with all the other methods mentioned in this post.
In conclusion, should you find yourself in the same predicament, try hooking it up to a Mac. I don't know how or why, but that's what worked for me.

How do I turn off "your recent download with your apple id" emails? Annoyingly often and they fill up my inbox. Is there a way to unsubscribe from these?
It is in Settings>iTunes & App Stores to change automatic downloads. But it isn't your device that needs to be changed if you are the one that made the download. He needs to turn off the setting for automatic downloads on his phone. I'm guessing here, but you are all sharing the same Apple ID?

Whatever you read about iTunes is wrong unless you're actually referring to feature movies, not videos. Videos, apps, music and iBooks you can re-download:

Download to your computer and then sync to your iPod touch whatever will fit.
And no, I can't say with certainty that they won't give you a refund, but it's unlikely. The most probable outcome, if you do indeed mean movies, not TV shows or other videos, is that they would set up an additional download. For other content they'll probably just direct you to the same instructions on re-downloading I just posted. -

My mac doesnt start. All i get is the gray screen with the apple and the loading icon but nothing more happens. I tried to start it in safe mode but it doesnt help. What can i do?
If you have a external USB enclosure - trying installing your hard drive in that enclosure and connect it to your usb port - restart your macbook while holding down the options key. If you Macbook boots to your desktop then you have a faulty cable. If you get the same error, then your hard drive just died on you.
