My Ipod has been stolen. what do I do? Can Apple blocked this Ipod?

My ipod was stolen on March 24th, 2012. I requested a blocked through iCloud but , I haven't seen no result yet. what do i need to do? can't apple help blocked this ipod so that the user doesn't get access to my private information.

If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it
